I love hearing about my childhood home of Thunder Bay

This is so much more informing than the cryptid condor angle, which is about all you get about "thunder birds" on tv and internet.

Dude, I don't like to be that guy that fawns over every content provider each time they post a video but I'd be lying if you aren't in my top 3 favorite channels... And by that I mean 1, 2 & 3, respectively.
    You're my spirit animal.
..I'm not sure if God is aware Canada exists, but keep doin the Lord's work anyway 👍

My Friend Ann (RIP 2019) always told me she saw a "huge Devil Bird" darkening the skies of Plymouth Pennsylvania, even at night in the late Summer months.
She had a small dog, half Chihuahua/ Jack Russell Terrier that she was very protective of. I hope your Producer's health is improving. 🙏

I don't know. Ann claimed it was bigger than a Turkey Vulture . It was man sized like a Thunderbird.

@@ghosty426 Hmm. Maybe, then! I'm from Pennsylvania myself, and all I know is that the biggest thing I've ever seen is a golden eagle. The shadow of its wings on the ground was enormous as it flew low, right over the treetops. It had to have had at least a 10 ft wingspan.

Turkey Vultures are gigantic too but not as big as Bald Eagles. I've seen both species around Francis E. Walter Dam near Bear Creek Pa and near Jim Thorpe Pa.

Great documentary. I made offering up a volcanic mountains and the eagles would acknowledge my offering. I also seen a huge pile of snake skeletons and when I came back next day they were gone. Thank you, for sharing this.

The Uchucelsaht here in Vancouver Island have a story that the thunderbird would come to the mountain above Henderson lake and raise its young. There's been bones. But the ubc archeology depth wasn't interested because there's no way a pterodactyl style bird could've l8ved at the same time as man. Something something millions of years. We Salish no better.

i am not Pocahontas. However, my 7th Great Grandmother was the daughter of a Algonquin woman named Margret and a Portuguese sailor. She married a Scotsman and had many children. When i hear these stories I can hear the thunder and feel the shock of lightening....relampago.

Garuda is what they are called in Hinuism and Buddhism. They battle their enemies, the naga serpents.
Ancient China had a type of writing called bird aerpent script. It is reminicient of these ancient and epic battles between the winged and the serpentine.

When I was little, I seen one night ,while in bed looking out the window into the sky, a Huge Bird flying around and around our house. We had a street light out front so the HUGE bird was kind of glowing faint purple Everytime it would pass my view . I mean... it WAS HUGE.
In the morning I told my family and nobody believed me . 😳

My late grandfather was a medicine man from the first nation's tribe in ebb n flow Manitoba. He told me of a time whe he was driving along a road and saw a thunderbird high on a tree, he said it flew off the branch and towards his van and flew over top of him. I believe him, he also had an experience with the Säbé and the entity that's in lake Manitoba.
From what he's told me, I believe the Thunderbird is a UFO, and I think back then in the 1800's they hadnt heard of flying saucers in the sense that we know of them. So they called them other things that were explainable at that Era in time.

    • @cowboykelly6590

@cowboykelly6590 what are you talking about.. ive never discredited my grandfather. I'm telling what he told me and I wasn't there. So, it is in my opinion and that's all I was saying. I didn't change his story at all.

One thing I find interesting about this is that the ancient Greeks also believed in a connection between eagles and lightnings. Because the eagle was a symbol of Zeus.

@mehrimazedeh Kids today! Zelda 2: the Adventures of Link on the NES. The boss was hard as snot. Kinda cool in a historical context too, of a Japanese game developer borrowing from Native American culture. I'm not sure what the lore behind the thunderbird in the game was other than it being a tough penultimate boss.
There are clips of just that segment of the game on YT for those curious.
