    My first car was a 1996 Geo Tracker 4 door 4X4. It had 89 HP and slow as molasses. I hated it when I had it but when I look back at it it was a fantastic little SUV. I put that thing through hell and it kept up the entire time. It had a decent amount of room and could handle off-road pretty well. If it had ABS, thicker doors, a better radio and a little more power I’d probably still have it today. These cars were built to last and they did if you treated them well.

      My folks had a 93 tracker, bought it in 2000 for 2 grand. Slow, yet fun, and it was bulletproof reliable. Sold it for 2 grand 5 years later. Only spent money on gas, oil, and tires. Dad often regrets selling it.

    I had a friend in high school that was obsessed with getting a Suzuki X90 but was shocked to find how difficult it was to find one that was equipped with air conditioning. Air conditioning is a MUST here in Miami! He ended up finding one and drove it trouble free for several years before trading it in 4 a car with a back seat. The X90 was not a practical car but it was easy to drive to Taco Bell while high as fuk! From what I was told LOL

    • @oshawott2250
      @oshawott2250 6 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      They don't, they just think because they have AWD they can go anywhere. However, in reality they suck on anything that's not smooth. A Crown Vic is more off-road capable than most new SUVs.

    • @MrCarGuy
      @MrCarGuy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Oshawott There's a massive difference between Haldex AWD, for example, and true Audi Quattro or a Subaru system. Most AWD systems can't send more than 20% of torque through the other differential.

      Uhhh yeah you can go off road in a crossover, that's one of the main selling points... Capability/utility of an suv with car-like ride/handling/mpg. They make great daily drivers hence their popularity.

    Omg look at that interior trim!! :D :D I feel something like this would sell somewhat well in today's market. On a side note, it seems like very few automakers experiment with this sort of design creativity these days, bother interior and exterior. :(

    The ORIGINAL Red Bull cars. Looks like a '92-'95 Civic from the rear though, they could've been more creative. Many of the interior switchgear looks like it came straight out of a '96-'00 Civic as well.

    When simple cars had character! Price, weight, driving, mpg and built quality is just great! Now, fat SUV's with lots of bling bling and electronics are being built to be recycled after 10 years. Overpriced of course. I miss the old days.
