If it had record/save to Micro SD card it would be a great beginner drone.
I would buy it and stick a micro AIO 5.8ghz ANALOG FPV camera over the stock camera and fly with Eachine ev800d or fatsharks goggles. Don’t bother with the phone. Pretty sure you can do a gps calibration without the phone. Just listen for the beeps.

I have one of these in the UK. It's not very good. Very problematic to get it to pair with my phone & even just start to run. Camera is not very good. It doesn't even look like 720p much less 4k! The ability to move the camera via the controller stopped working after the third landing. Pushing the slider button - the camera movement just makes a noise but doesn't move. Very very sensitive to calibration, which it seems, you have to do far too often. Rarely hovers steadily. All-in-all, best to buy a used DJi!
About the Ryze tello's build quality:
- Mine crashed straight into a signpost in sportmode and fell about 10 meters down a cliff (only 1 propguard and 2 prop blades were destroyed)
- Another time the Tello dropped in a small pond and I actually had to fish it from bottom with a stick + piece of rope (after letting it dry for 4 days, It took off like nothing happened)

Appreciate the nice things you said about the K911 but I think the plastic (?) exterior is already making me question the durability. DJI mini drones, although not the cheapest, are still the best options in my opinion.

Good Lord! Anyone thinking of buying this, just do yourself a favor and save up a few more bucks and get a Mini 2. You will be SOOO much better off, and it will actually save you money in the long run.

That's how the Air 2S should have looked. It's a great drone, but a face that only a MotherDrone could love! The laser OA module for the Beast is so sensitive you can barely fly it when activated. That's if there's anything, and I mean ANYTHING within a hundred feet in front of it, lol!

It’s very different. Smaller and slower than a bugs 3. More stable though.
It would fly just fine with an FPV camera

It's good to have these options but it would be wise to invest on a quality drone just like the Mini 2.
Of course you should have a mini 2 and and mavic air 2 but for $125 for one of these k911 with 3 batteries its a must have toy. For say days when your DJI's are in a no fly zone or you're charging batteries for your DJI's.

Totaly agree THIS drone doesn't do any thing for me .I fly 8 different mjx drones have done for over 5 years now the 1080 camras are great for the money and are mostly standard. ON MOST OF THERE DRONES WHICH ARE GREAT QUALITY AND BEAUTIFULLY MADE . I get 600 to 800 METERS FROM MY DRONES OUT OF THE BOX . AND by doing a small T/X ANTENA MOD FOR AROUND £10 UK POUNDS IV HAD OVER 1,400 METER RANGE AND A FLIGHT TIME OF 20 TO 30 MINS. AND THERE'S PLENTY OF ROOM FOR CAMRA UP GRADES. SO GUY'S IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD DRONE IN YOUR BUDGET BETWEEN £150 TO £250 UK POUNDS I STRONGLY RECOMMEND LOOKING AT MJX DRONES. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED FOR THE MONEY.

Personally BUGS 3 PRO. IT CAN FLY UP TO 20/25 MINS ON 2,800 AMP BATTERY RANGE 600 TO 800 METERS .COMES WITH A GOOD WIFI CAMRA 1080. WITH ONE BATTERY OR MORE IF YOU PREFER WHEN ORDERING. A good cradle so you can purchase diferent camras at a later date and will carry extra camra's like a 5.8 ghz as well . With a small 6db TX AREAL FOR A SMALL COST OF AMERZON YOU CAN UP GRADE 2.4 INTERNAL AREAL AND GET 1,200 METRE RANGE PLUS.

Do me a favor. I’ll use your link to buy this if you can verify beyond any doubt it has a range of at least 500m in normal city park locations. I just want to add analog FPV and use goggles.
If you can’t see the feed then why would it matter? It isn’t recording anything onboard.

I see. I’d bet you could get 200-300 meters. I’ve had issues putting FPV cameras on GPS drones. Odd interference.
I dont think I'll have confidence in a $99 drone to be honest. I'd rather go for the Mini SE, despite being basic, I'm certain about the quality.
