Yeah that seems normal to me but for some people it’s not. I must admit it is stuck out more than I normally would have it but with the large cups it’s ok.
I always purge when welding stainless steel. Use tin foil, silicone purge plugs or tape and then fill it up with argon making sure there can be some flow out through a small hole. I suppose with something like this you wouldn’t have to purge it if you controlled the heat input by pulse welding. Thanks for your comment.
this stickout is huge, that cup is amazing
Furick cup for the win
It's pretty impressive how your tungsten sticks out from the cup 😮

Good luck buddy 👍 💙

Very nice welds!
Thank you!
TIG溶接は仕上がりがほんと、美しい❤
Thank you 😊
wow. Nice. Seems to be easy job.
Thanks.
like to know if there is need to purge, or just tape up the ends (exhaust flow)? thanks

Gratuitous tungsten exposure, oooh I bet it's thoriated too.
Quite normal stick out for the cup size. The tungsten is 2% Lanthanated.
Yes I use the pink cups for aluminium welding and like you say when you need to get into a tight space, they are quite handy still.
What gas flow you have at this stick out?
About an inch and 30 cfh
Nicely done

Excellent Sir. Other than your stick out may be a few 10/1000 too far. Carry on.
Thanks
It's a fupa cup, that's the point lol
Haha yea exactly
Just use a step bit
Thanks for your recommendation. I find the hole saw works great. Cutting fluid is preferred which I didn’t have at the time.
Get a 02 sensor saddle it’s much easier quicker
Easier to weld but I prefer the look of the standard o2 sensor bung.
How come i see black spots now?
Haha sorry about that
"Eyes!"
Sorry for the bright lights, I will have to fix that next time.
굿!
