You guys didn't mention the most disturbing thing of all about evangelicals: they have their own gospel. The Prosperity Gospel basically teaches that, "getting saved" will bring material riches. If you tithe enough, of course. Naturally, evangelicals also tend to believe that poor people are poor because they're not Christian enough. Then there is their belief in the coming end of the world, wherein they will float up to heaven in, "the Rapture," while the rest of us fornicating heathen burn. Evangelicals espouse a twisted, distorted version of Christianity which bears little resemblance to the actual teachings of Jesus.
Prosperity gospel is blasphemy. No true Christians buy into that Joel Osteen nonsense. And the Bible talks often of giving to the poor. True Evangelicals believe in the Bible, the origin of Christianity. No twisted or distorted version about it at all.

When I started a Journalism Major in College, I had to buy the AP stylebook, and none of these things that she said were in there. The main emphasis on the AP stylebook (who were showing their left-leaning side) said that Evangelicals are "pejorative." That would be one group looking down on another group, and expressing it with their thoughts and speech and what they wrote. Did Jesus die on Passover, as Mark, Matthew and Luke assert or did he die 24 hours earlier on the Day of Preparation? I have listened to evangelical Christian's like Pat Robertson and I literally cringe. His attitudes are pervasive among these people and it is frightening. When you teach people that they and they only have the truth, you are doing a grave disservice to humanity. Look at history -- look at what is happening in the world today. Religious strife is a serious, serious problem (and always has been). I have a hunch. Let's look at homosexuality -- for starters. Why should they care about other people's sexual identification... maybe it is a personal fear they have in their hearts and minds which frightens them. "Me thinketh the lady protesteth too much." They should give it up and really following the teachings of Jesus. But, they won't because their delusion is so deeply entrenched that they have lost the ability to love others as themselves -- yet not to hate. Without question, they hate others who think differently than themselves. Really, they should take some science classes and learn about the scientific method and logical thinking. They are unsophisticated and unlearned.

Those who criticize Christians who voted for Trump apparently don't realize that many of those votes were "Anti-Hillary" votes, as was mine. It does seem that the President is somewhat of a narcissist, but at least he's transparent, and I agree with most of his decisions (many of his tweets are another matter). As for the Clintons, in the 60 years since I became politically aware, I've not seen any politician who was nearly as self-aggrandizing as Bill and Hillary. Unlike them, I believe that Trump has come to really care about America and its people. His life experience had been somewhat specialized before he was elected, but he's a fast learner and he's a winner.
If evangelicals can look at Trump and see a man who identifies whit them core belief it would be best if they actually read the Bible and tell us if you see any of his actions listed under righteousness

I have listened to evangelical Christian's like Pat Robertson and I literally cringe. His attitudes are pervasive among these people and it is frightening. When you teach people that they and they only have the truth, you are doing a grave disservice to humanity. Look at history -- look at what is happening in the world today. Religious strife is a serious, serious problem (and always has been). I have a hunch. Let's look at homosexuality -- for starters. Why should they care about other people's sexual identification... maybe it is a personal fear they have in their hearts and minds which frightens them. "Me thinketh the lady protesteth too much." They should give it up and really following the teachings of Jesus. But, they won't because their delusion is so deeply entrenched that they have lost the ability to love others as themselves -- yet not to hate. Without question, they hate others who think differently than themselves. Really, they should take some science classes and learn about the scientific method and logical thinking. They are unsophisticated and unlearned.

Those who criticize Christians who voted for Trump apparently don't realize that many of those votes were "Anti-Hillary" votes, as was mine. It does seem that the President is somewhat of a narcissist, but at least he's transparent, and I agree with most of his decisions (many of his tweets are another matter). As for the Clintons, in the 60 years since I became politically aware, I've not seen any politician who was nearly as self-aggrandizing as Bill and Hillary. Unlike them, I believe that Trump has come to really care about America and its people. His life experience had been somewhat specialized before he was elected, but he's a fast learner and he's a winner.

This is not the Christainity I grow up with. Seeing these people support someone as evil and godless as Trump is scary. I lived my entire life as a Christain but now I consider myself as spiritual. Because if this is christainity, I dont want any part of it. This form of Christainity is not of God. These people are not of God but of the darkness.

I don't remember Jesus coming to save the backs of our skin but our souls! As in the soul is light and colorless!!! Not just one color or religion will get in. Those who call on the name of the Lord shall be SAVED! He didn't die for skin but your SOUL! I'm tired of hearing only this color of people will get in!! We are different for a reason. My family are RW-christian-conservatives, I'm Normal-conservative Democrat also very Spiritual Christian. When I heard a conversation about damaging this world so bad we will force God to send Jesus. I find that most people in the world that are not a Born again Christian trys to tell real Christians how to live a Christian life when they dont know anything about it. There are to many people playing Church that have deceived them selves thinking they are going to Heaven while they live like the devil Sorry that dont work with God. You are the servant to who you obey. If you act and talk like the devil thats your god. If you claim to be a Christian and live according to the word of God then the God of the Bible is your God. Choose ye this day who you will serve. You cant serve them both.
Now they know they have been praying for the devil, straight from the pits of hell.
