- Dolphin's demo reels from the 70s, originally posted by videoholic50s60s70s, here deinterlaced via Virtualdub to 60 frames per second. Not perfect due to the compression of the original videos, but is better than nothing.

Scanimate é em suma, uma manipulação muito detalhada, complexa, com muitos recursos de osciloscópios. Obviamente percebia que esse estilo de animação era muito diferente das técnicas atuais, mas só agora descobri como foram feitas. Fico fascinado com estas tecnologias antigas!

O mundo do Scanimate foi muito importante para a TV brasileira, já que muitas redes brasileiras fizeram vinhetas com a Dolphin Productions, até quase que copiar-e-colar.
7:36 esse template foi usado nos anos 80 pelo SBT, na primeira vinheta da Sessão Desenho
Looks very nice, thank you for preserving the 60 field-per-second (or should I now say 60-*frame*-per second) fluidity of motion that these Scanimate animations originally had. Definitely a more truer representation of how these originally looked on TV back in their day.
Just curious, did you use the QTGMC deinterlacing software with VirtualDub to convert these?

10:03 is the extended version of the fanfare from the Macmillan Films logo.
This seems to be off of a VHS but damn do I wish they still were over-the-top with TV commercials and bumpers.
More than likely, these were from 1 inch or 2 inch broadcast tape as opposed to vhs. Broadcast tapes predate vhs by a good 20 years and this one would’ve probably been sent to tv stations to promote their services.

I long for the way these adverts make me feel, analog image generation feels more futuristic and alien then digital stuff, even when I was a a kid 20 years ago encountering this sorta aesthetic via re runs and VHS tapes my parents had from the 80s

just a note from a professional editor - you can't deinterlace something off of youtube. It is already deinterlaced by the mere fact that to be on youtube it needs to be progressive (thats what the p stands for) So that is just adding more noise, as is the 60fps which is asking your software to interpolate non-existant frames. I realize this is technical but there are better ways to improve the signal. For one videoholic isn't doing anybody a favor uploading at 480p and he already is making tons of mistakes like not adjusting the gain... just saying.
