Water Solutions for Thriving Communities and Their Animals: The Impact of Brooke East Africa

Through the construction, rehabilitation, and protection of 15 water sources- including dams, boreholes, springs, storage tanks, kiosks, and troughs-Brooke East Africa (BEA) has significantly improved water access for communities and their livestock in the arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, and South Sudan.
Our interventions have reduced the average distance to water points by 5 km, directly benefiting 7,270 households, 21,487 donkeys, and an additional 78,400 livestock, including cattle, camels, and small ruminants.
