Loved this video! I loved the style-I haven’t seen too many people do videos like this and I think it was such a pleasure to watch. I’d love to see more of basically any part of your collections!
Thank you for this! And no, you don’t have a problem I do understand you as a fellow collector. Also, who else is going to cherish those clutches as much as you do? I’m sure they are in luck to be a part of your collection :) Btw, I teared up when reading the note that was included with one of them. Now I really want to buy from that seller because they are awesome!
I am one of those people who can't make clutches work because I basically need a small luggage to fit all my things! What a lovely collection you have! The corde and plastiflex are my favourites! Also you are forgiven for not showing us your vintage collections, as long as you keep the videos coming 😜
Thank you Stella! I switched to a smaller bag for going to-and-fro from work a few months ago and it was certainly a transition (where do I put snacks?), but my old big bag was too heavy even when empty, so I was real tired of lugging it around! I do like having a ton of stuff with me though, so I get it ;)
Fabulous video! Gorgeous clutches! I’m in awe over a few I have NEVER seen before! Your collation is stellar. Also I must say back in the day there was so much fabulous detail compared to today’s clutches & bags the etched lucite handle was so amazing! Thank you for sharing 💕

Would love to see your other collections - shoes, jewelry, scarves - anything you choose to share would be fun to see. Thanks for another excellent video.

Bianca, please make this a regular (monthly) segment, and go through your collections: jewellry, hats, gloves, other types of hangbags, shoes, etc. You name it, we want to see it! :-)
You have a fantastic collection! I wish I had more than two or three. I've tried using them alone when going out but nowadays we need a small wallet, keys, hand sanitiser, hand cream, face mask, and other stuff for going out. I wish we could go out with fewer things to make life easier... maybe if we could incorporate more skirts, and dresses with pockets to carry just the necessary items for a lady to go out on a day or a night out. Other than that I absolutely love your small clutches collection! So happy to have found you. Happy new subscriber! 🍎 ❤
@@TheClosetHistorian I've spent the last few weeks inventorying a huge silverware collection that spans from 1880-1980 in chronological order. I'm working on the 1930's box right now and it feels like I'm going to spend the rest of my life counting mayonnaise ladles. It's a very glamorous job.
My word, you definitely are THE CLUTCH COLLECTOR!! I am super jealous doll. They are all adorable but love the plastic tiled ones especially! Could you do a video of your brooch/jewellery collection, pweety please? Mwah! Xxx

I myself am not a fan of anything I have to hold (it then inevitably becomes “lost”) but you do you! I’ve lost so many I don’t even carry a water bottle anymore 😅. They are very pretty though thank you for sharing
Thank you - thank you - thank you for this video. I have always had a small-scale curio cabinet in my bedroom so I can display and view my vintage purses. I like to look at them & use them for display & decor. Sadly, I am not finding them as readily as I did in years gone by. Bless you! (from Grandma Bunny in Phoenix).
Is a collection ever truly complete? There's always that one elusive piece, that keeps the hunt alive. I love how you keep the sentimental trinkets in your clutches like the ticket stubs and postcard. I'd never taken note a Plasticflex bag before you showed us one, then the other day a woman was carrying one in a film! I love when that happens. Subject change: I'm observant and curious by nature or nosey, which ever you prefer, on the wall behind you there is a small picture of a woman and on top of the glass you have placed a backwards "Y", while binge watching I noticed the "Y" wasn't on the glass in the beginning. Is there a reason or am I imagining something. I also have a vivid imagination, I design children's coloring books so I nurse my imagination. Ha!
I love Plasticflex...which is pretty obvious in this video! The framed postcard behind me with tape over it is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I in her youth, unfortunately my camera likes to autofocus on her face instead of mine (rude!) so I put washi tape over the face one day to get my camera to work, and then just never changed it ;)
Thanks for sharing ! I loved the 1960s hand tooled one, my favorite! I want! Lol... :) Now do one on your purses..? Hats, etc.... PS... I love your hair style !
Damn, the first tooled leather one is just divine - I'm a sucker for all things even vaguely art nouveau or steampunkish. For my part, I'd love to see all your dresses, but that would be a looong video. So perfect choice ^^
Question for you, I have quite a collection of clutches also. I want to carry them when going out however I just have too much stuff to carry so I end up taking a larger handbag as well as a clutch and just leaving it in the car. Is that weird, is there another way, help!
Hmm, I'm not sure there is a solution other than just learning to live with less stuff while out, which isn't easy. I use an old vintage cigarette case as a wallet, as it fits my ID and the few cards I need (I rarely if ever carry cash), and since it is so slim it takes up very little space in any bag I use. I rarely carry more than my card case, a lipstick, a thin compact mirror, my phone, keys, and a few mints perhaps in my clutches or other bags. Luckily I tend to try and only buy huge clutch bags too, in case I want space for a granola bar or two in there as well!
same problem here! I am just now in the process of "training" myself to wear my fabulous smaller handbags because I love them but never use them because I carry totes all day round!!!
When you’re out, irl, not simply modelling, do the clutch handbags end up being a fidget toy, or a “thing to do with your hands”? They’re gorgeous, definitely, and a cross-body purse strap is certainly a damper on most outfits… but I’m trying to figure out how one doesn’t simply lose your clutch regularly, and my best guess maybe if it’s a thing to fidget with, that happens to hold your stuff???
It more that when I am out, it's not at places where one could set down their bag and forget I suppose. When I go to a restaurant the bag sits on my lap, when I'm at a museum I hold it the whole time, same with a garden, and when I am going antiquing I bring a handbag with a handle that can loop over my arm usually so I can shop freely. Those are the only 4 places I really go 🤣
Not silly at all! I think it would be totally possible to wipe them down with a damp cloth and a mild soapy water perhaps, but I do try and only buy things that are not very dirty because I think it would be pretty difficult to wash the whole thing lining and all. The "leather" cord that laces plasticflex style clutches together is what has usually deteriorated the most over the years, so that is what I would fear damaging the most from cleaning. The tiles are fine though, they feel almost like modern abs plastic as opposed to more fragile celluloid or something like that.
It's true indeed, but I am always trying to work on getting past that very thing really. I think it's the most dangerous thing about shopping/collecting, that rush!
I have bought some clutches at our vintage store and they are wonderful. But the inner life unser the lining is decomposing. I have always a white dust in the bags. Does anyone know what to do?
