I understand why people talk about it, but it's just not the same enough. The two of them are two different Hardaways. Derrick Rose had such a compact handle. Rose had small hands so he keeps things close to his body. Rose had crazy hops, but he was a quick, high hopper that exploded close to the basket. (Again, the hands.) See Tim Hardaway (with not as much hops). Ja Morant has a much more rangy handle. He has a larger grip and can attack from farther out and fly to the rim. More like a Penny Hardaway (same, not quite as much hops, at least as I remember.)
Derrick rose to me even tho he is my fav player has the second best layup package of all time, only behind kyrie because he pulls some crazy stuff out of his bag
