Hello,A few days ago, I entered the world of Magic: The Gathering, and I received a starter kit, Wilds of Eldraine. How can I improve and strengthen these decks? What would be worth buying next? I would appreciate any advice regarding deck building. Thank you in advance for your responses!
The starter decks are usually pretty basic, so you'd pretty much have to replace 99% of the deck to have something competitive. You can go a few different routes after you've got the hang of the game. A preconstructed Commander deck is one option, but potentially confusing with a huge learning curve due to the massive card pool (nearly every card that ever existed!). Another option is the Standard format which covers the last several sets and is easier to get into. See whatsinstandard.com and www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/standard#paper to get started. The new Foundations set in November will have a lot of good starting points for new players as well.
You can hardly notice any of the foil? Are they all like this? I was looking into trying this product but the foils look really bland.
FaB rainbow foils typically 'pop' less than MTG foils. Cold foils are similarly understated, other than the Marvels.
LSS is more selective and reserved with their foiling, normally highlighting certain parts of the card. Generally, cards from Tales of Aria and Light cards together with Wizard cards really pop imo. Darker cards, including Azalea's tend to be much more bland unfortunately
bloodroot 😑
Yeah, that didn't sound right! What happened to their quality control?🤦♂️
