Very nice job! People might comment that it's slow,,, but I think it's plenty fast for personal use. It does the job with ease and doesn't wear u out! Cheers

Very nice and Ive studied a lot of firewood processors , even the log table is simple but effective .

OK that was one of best home made firewood processors I've seen on youtube, but I think the saw needs to go a little faster, generally round saw blades zip through wood but then again to me they are more scary vs chainsaw blade which I'd rather have and I like how you dont have to manually bring the saw down, I cant and couldn't stand that very long. Also it looks like this processor can be used for smaller firewood to, something that I haven't seen yet and still looking for in firewood processors, not every stick I have needs to be split. All in all very good, I was impressed thanks for sharing!!!!
thank you for you'r comment for the saw yes the RPM is calibrate for 36" blades but i have buy 32" really more affordable and i not exange the pulley. the great speed is 11 000 foots per minutes linear and on this video the motor run 3/4 speed is not good...
Bien réussi ! J'ai vu les autres avant et chu content de voir le produit final. je viens juste d'en visionner un avant qui expliquait la sorte de dent de scie à choisir pour ce genre de travail ( Buzz saw ) la vitesse de rotation et des trucs de lubrification sur les cotés de la lame qui permette de facilité la coupe. Y'en a qui réussi à faire couper leur lame comme si c'était dans le beurre.
+Danroxye01 Merci ! je ne sais pas quel vidéo tu a regarder mais la vitesse maximal et optimal de la scie doit être de 13 000 pieds/minute linéaire sur le bout des dents mais pour lubrifier les coter ces pas nécessaire avec une qui a des dents au carbures comme moi. pour mon vidéo j'ai fais une petite erreurs. j'ai pas monter le moteur a sont régime maximal pour donner la bonne vitesse de rotation du coup la machine parait un peut moins performante quelle l'est vraiment...

you made a amazing good on your project I would to make my self one would you mind seending me a list of material you made yous with and the gage so we would have a ideal what to start with
I am curious on the circular blade shaft size and material. I am building a similar one and went with 1 1/2" standard 1040 carbon shaft (yours looks much larger). Do you find any shaking vibration on the saw?
is metal shaft and the size is 3 inch. I have no vibration but the blade had very little wobble my saw can't turn not fast enough. i exchange one pulley and exchange the hold speed (1250 rpm) to optimum speed (1650 rpm). the optimum speed , the teeth of saw must flow 12 500 feet per minutes and i lost the little wobble.
Dany ou as tu trouver le shaft et la lame pour ton projet? Jai deja un vieux banc scie a bois de chauffage mais jaimerais le modifier en processeur et jamimerais aussi changer la lame pour une au carbure. Je peut en avoir importe asiatique mais pas certain de la qualite... beau projet que tu a la ca fait rever
mike di ioia j'ai acheté Ça chez sabec à Chicoutimi ces un lot qu'il m'a vendu pas cher pour ce débarasser le shaft les 2 bearing et 3 lames au carbure de 28 pouces.

j'ai travailler une semaine complète dessus et ensuite les 3 semaines suivante par temps perdu quand j’étais en congé.
oui le poussoir a un moteur hydraulique et une moitié avec une chaine et l'autre moitié avec un câble pour sauver sur le couts de la chaine. il fait la job mais quand tu passe tout droit je doit reculer la buche a la main ;) .
Dany Bouchard Le mien a un tapis roulant, mais le projet est sur HOLD presentment. Au lieu d'une lame j'ai decider d'utiliser une scie mechanique. Ou as-tu pris ta lame?

I like ur log indeed, I thought the samething,I got the idea from running my dads sawmill (carriage drive)..seen the other comments ur splitter is slow but can u speed it up by just going to a cylinder with a bigger ram
i use same pump for accessory and the splitter the best is input another pump for accessory.
Where did you get the saw blade and shaft etc? I like your design and I would like to add a saw like yours to my processor.

what kind of RPM do you have on your saw?
the optimal speed is 11 000 feet/min my blade is 28 inch 28/12= 2.33 feet 2.33x 3.1416=7.33 7.33/11 000= 1500RPM BUT my motor too much little and my saw turn 1200 max.

the cutting process should be ongoing regardless of what the splitter is doing.

+sandypstahl is very little motor 15hp. for speed up the processor need bigger motor but is not my intention to change motor.

looks very slow I think the pump needs to be running faster it barely runs the saw let alone two things at once
