@@sabineschroter1012 If you don't own own a colander you get creative, not destructive. Drilling holes in a plastic bowl will only add more plastic to your food. Put a plate or a lid from a saucepan or storage bowl over the bowl/pan to hold back vegetables. Make sure to use pot holders to protect your hands if the water is very hot.

Within cooking you can use muslin cloth ,to soak up grease . Or ice cubes in a serving spoon to attract the grease ,( solidifying )the grease to be scraped of the top of food.
Dropping 3 tampons into food was disgusting . Ya , I know they're sterile but you also wouldn't sit down at the table and scarf food out of a diaper .

It's different because they are scented. Also paper towels are a heck of a lot cheaper never would I use a tampon for food.

So I was reading the reviews before watching the video. I thought this must be awful. But I figured I would decide for myself. Glad I did. Most of the hacks are fine. Some are good and I might try. Some I have never seen before. The way people went on about the tampons 😒 good grief. It wasn't that bad. I won't do it. I'll stick to my paper towels. Overall it was a good video with some good ideas.

You dont need to poke holes in plastic to drain food.
People really need to leave 5 min Crafts alone. For every 1 really bad idea there is 2 or 3 really great ideas. The tampon hack is genius, I just can't do it though knowing other ways they are used, just no.
