    There’s a lot of pain, and a lot of injustice that happened, but it’s the truth. IT IS THE TRUTH! We need to start spreading, and teaching the truth. Hiding, or not talking about it will not make us forget! Teach the real American story, without sugar coating a thing. Keep it raw, and real.

    I’ve got some cool artifacts from Fort Mobetee and Fort Sherman. Dad metal detected these places in the 60s

    Very well done. You are sharing real forgotten history. Would love to see those pictures from the wolf hunt.
    Sad for Cynthia, she sure lived through a lot. Poor little Prairie Flower. The Indians surly got the short end of things.
    In my family, there was a dark secret.
    2 of the families' daughters married Indian men & had children. The elders of the family refused to acknowledge these marriages.

      Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your story. This is all real history. Even the parts that may have seemed taboo back then. Love does not see color or boundaries.

    Confederate Heroes Day? We see forts built by the USA not the CSA
    The Fort Parker narrator did well.

      Confederate Hero's Day is a state holiday initiated by the Texas Legislature in 1973. recognizing the birthday of Robert E Lee, as well as honoring Jefferson Davis and other Confederate Heros. I am glad you enjoyed the video. I think Mike did a great job too!

      @Exploring Texas History with Becky
      Several Southern states created days to honor Confederates as reaction to the Civil Rights and Voting Rights bills, signed by Texan LBJ. I am old enough to remember...
      Neither Lee nor Davis was Texan.
      Have you ever heard of Dick Dowling ?

      On this video we saw a fort built by private citizens in what was at the time in a state of the United Mexican States, what's your point?

    "Saved" her from her husband and children's people, ie. her people, just so she could go on to be some camp cook. Please don't ever try to save me if this is what it's like.

      If someone murders your father and one of your brothers, kidnaps you and one of your other brothers, grapes you, and you call them your "people", I will try to remind everyone not to save you.
