There is an elegance to the uncomplicated design of this knife. The one piece handle eliminates the meed tor all the leafs and spacers. The lock mechanism is simple but attractive. I'm a fan of this one.
You done pretty well to save a 2$ Chinese Okapi knife. I wouldn't bother to restore it, but as a project I can see why you took it on yourself, and the result is stunning.
I love old knives ....there size ....there shape ....there design . A solid 10 as always very very nice work !! Your attention to detail is amazing !! 👍👍
I bought an Okapi 20 years ago at a knife show. They are an unusual and historic knife made in Africa. Unfortunately mine took so much pressure to release the lock that I sold it to a person that on occasion buys knives from me. Beautiful restoration. Thanks 🎸🔪
I knew this would be another 10 before I watched it 😂. Awesome. Personally, I'd like to see you build from other rusty knife parts and maybe make your own springs and blades to make your own stilleto . There's something about a stilleto that stands out from the rest, but whatever you decide, we will watch it.
Husband rates it a 5. Yes, the original wood coating has been duplicated, but we like to see some contrasting grain. I'll give it a 7 for the great metalwork.

10! What is that knife made for? That isn’t just a collectible, it seems to have a purpose. Like an old mill knife for cutting line and cloth.

О! У меня есть такой нож. Он в плохом состоянии, деревянная рукоятка сломалась, но мне жалко его выкинуть. Он какой-то особенный.
Just a Note: this is not an okapi knife
