@@KonaBlueSVT yeah! CVT here. Changed the fluid at 70k and 140k with full filters and pan drop. Refilled only with Nissan oil. We don't drive it hard either.
wouldn't it last and be way more productive to add metal and weld it? you can always tig weld or do a bunch of lower voltage stick welds, use a smaller rod that is meant for lower voltage. also you could at least tac a piece of sheet metal then cover it. i would almost guarantee that thin aluminum strip will be gone in less than a year, with the size of holes it's covering.
It's definitely the best option if you have the equipment! I was trying to gear this video to someone who is looking for a low cost fix, the people without welders, etc.
I have a 2012 Altima and a 2010 GT500!! Just crossed over 150k on the Nissan. Original drivetrain!
