May Allah bless you shaykh. I haven't seen you in person in over a decade since the conference in the PA mountains. You gave a lecture on the Dua "Yah muqalibal qulub" that you made everyone in attendance to repeat over and over. I haven't forgotten that Dua and it is something I teach to many. May Allah give you jannah amen.

May Allah preserve our Shaikh Daw'ud Adib and bestow upon him the greatest of rewards for his constant efforts to spread the da'wah. Ameen. A beautiful Muslim. A beautiful brother. He married me to my first zawja over 30 years ago at the Masjid in East Orange, NJ on Lincoln Street. He was the first person to make me cry upon hearing his recitation of the Qur'aan. What a glorious recitation it is, SubhanAllah!!!

No he didn't, he said don't say it
Shaykh Salih ibn Fawzan (may Allah preserve him) was asked: What is the ruling on sending text messages every Friday and ending with the phrase “Jumu’ah mubarakah”?
      He replied:
“The early generation did not congratulate one another on Fridays, so we should not introduce anything that they did not do.” (Ajwibat Asilah Majallat al-Da‘wah al-Islamiyyah)
A similar fatwa was issued by Shaykh Sulayman al-Majid (may Allah preserve him), when he said:
“We do not think it is prescribed to exchange congratulations on Fridays, such as saying to one another, “Jumu’ah mubarakah” and so on, because it comes under the heading of du‘as and dhikrs , which must be based on a text (of the Quran or Sunnah) because this is purely a matter of worship and if it were good, the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would have done it before us.

@cecdrivemeik0731 yes he did. If it is not done all the time, no problem . Bidah buster!

Where is the proof that the shaykh Said it? Otherwise fear Allah and don’t lie on the Shaykh or spread fake rumors may Allah guide you. Also you must have proof for your statements in Islam as anything newly introduced to the religion is a bidah as is stated in the hadith and every bidah or Misguidance. So where is the proof that we should congratulate each other on Jummah and why did the Sahaba not participate in this not Abu Bakr or Umar? Wallahi if it was good they would have proceeded us. So let us fear Allah and hold on to the way of the our Prophet Sallahu alayhi wa Salam and leave off this bidah as he is our example.

It's recorded, if you really cared about proof you would look for. Unfortunately you only care about personality, nationality and race. Dawood is only a student not a scholar .
