My mom used to fly Mr. Straight on a private gulf stream plane back in the early to mid 2000's. She said he was one of the nicest she ever flew regularly. Always nice and just wanted the basics. She really enjoyed flying with him. She said most weren't so nice in real life. Thanks for treating my mom well sir.

George is the man who made country cool. His voice, no matter what song is soothing, he doesn't shout the words out at you when he's in concert. He's one of two of my most favorite male country artist of all times. When I heard about his daughter's demise I felt so sorry for him and his family for their loss. There will never be another entertainer like George Strait, he's number one of all times. Congratulations for all your success and entertainment you have given to us all.

I know he'd never remember it but in 1980, on Sunday afternoon, I got to two-step with George at Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas...just outside of New Braunfels. The next year I was listening to KKYX in San Antonio and they announced a newcomer to country music from Pearsall, Texas by the name of George Strait!!! I sure felt privileged to have had about 2 minutes of two-steppin' with someone who was now a star!!! I've loved his music from that first day in Gruene... there'll never be another George Strait!!! I have seen him in concert in Texas at the rodeo dozens of times. And every concert is better than the last there's only one George strait and we are lucky to be living in a Time where we can be blessed with this music and the example he continues to set. When you're at a George strait concert do you see grandmother's their daughters and their granddaughters crying and screaming who are the man George strait!

Having grown up in Boston I was never a fan of country music. I was rock and roll all the way. Until I heard George Strait in the 1990's. I was hooked. His pure voice and emotion touched my heart like music never before. I then started listening to his earlier songs and realized what I had missed. Not only did I learn to love his music, but I also learned to love country and all of the artists of the day. Unfortunately, today's country isn't even close. By the way. I am a 65-year-old guy with 8 grandchildren who is not afraid to admit that country music made me laugh and made me cry. Most of today's country just makes me change the station. To be fair Dean Dillon wrote 90% of George's hits. Along with Larry Boone, Erv Woolsey and Chris LeDoux plus a couple more but only George's voice could make them a hit.

I lost the "love of my life" to MSA in 2012, greatest loss of my life! We only had a wonderful 45 years together. We were planning on 80! Didn't work out though! Sure do miss her! George is an icon. Most of my young memories are filled with his music. His song " Fool Hearted Memory" described me to a T at that time. I was going through a divorce from my highschool sweetheart, and litterally lived that song right down to playing it over and over again on the juke box as I crawled inside a beer bottle. The fact that he and his wife have been together since the beginning speaks volumnes about his integrity and their mutual love for each other. To many let fame, or selfishness destroy their relationships. I will always be a George Strait fan, and I'm 67.
George did the right for his career an he was still able to make it happen.. an I am the same age 71...an it's always glad to hear how there relationship was great standing by each other... that's family love stick together

Absolutely love this gentle man, he converted me to country music,I had the unexpected pleasure of riding in the elevator with his beautiful Lady and Darling Son. We were going to wait for the next one but she said no come on with us. She did not tell us who she was but we knew. On the ride up she asked us who we were there to see lol so we started gushing about how we try to go to every concert. We told her we thought he was very special ...his Son said but Mom lololo well the doors open and we left. I will never forget how normal down to earth she was and seemed interested in us wow. George Strait is far and above the most genuine true country artist in modern times! George is a true original, which is rare in the music business, his songs are classic that you can listen to over and over again for decades and they still sound great. George doesn't require all of the modern trappings that the music business considers to be essential to "entertainment", just a guitar and a microphone and you are spellbound by his talent.
I am a George Strait lover since the 80s. He is a role model, a gentleman, a true cowboy, and without a doubt the undisputed king of country music. I have seen him in concert in Texas at the rodeo dozens of times. And every concert is better than the last there's only one George strait and we are lucky to be living in a Time where we can be blessed with this music and the example he continues to set. When you're at a George strait concert do you see grandmother's their daughters and their granddaughters crying and screaming who are the man George strait!

I started listening to George Strait in 1981 and fell in love with his music. Then I was fortunate enough to see him in two different concerts. The more I read about him I realized what a great person he was especially with his family. Even through a tragedy their family held strong together. I have never heard another singer like George and I’m sure I never will. I hope he keeps on singing for his faithful fans. Having grown up in Boston I was never a fan of country music. I was rock and roll all the way. Until I heard George Strait in the 1990's. I was hooked. His pure voice and emotion touched my heart like music never before. I then started listening to his earlier songs and realized what I had missed. Not only did I learn to love his music, but I also learned to love country and all of the artists of the day. Unfortunately, today's country isn't even close. By the way. I am a 65-year-old guy with 8 grandchildren who is not afraid to admit that country music made me laugh and made me cry. Most of today's country just makes me change the station. Thank you George Strait for opening my eyes and my heart.
I know what you mean. I never listened to country either until I was station surfing one day and heard Amarillo by morning. Wow. That song just grabbed me and held on.

To be fair Dean Dillon wrote 90% of George's hits. Along with Larry Boone, Erv Woolsey and Chris LeDoux plus a couple more but only George's voice could make them a hit.

George is one of the most memorable, respectful man, a singer, and successful in everything he touch. An amazing human being, with a fantastic wife and a great son, daughter in law and two beautiful grandchildren.
George is an icon. Most of my young memories are filled with his music. His song " Fool Hearted Memory" described me to a T at that time. I was going through a divorce from my highschool sweetheart, and litterally lived that song right down to playing it over and over again on the juke box as I crawled inside a beer bottle. The fact that he and his wife have been together since the beginning speaks volumnes about his integrity and their mutual love for each other. To many let fame, or selfishness destroy their relationships. I will always be a George Strait fan, and I'm 67.
George did the right for his career an he was still able to make it happen.. an I am the same age 71...an it's always glad to hear how there relationship was great standing by each other... that's family love stick together

I think George is appreciated by his fans not only because of his music and great hits, but because he is a wonderful Honest man and husband. I have always loved his appeal to not be the most sparkling with lights and smoke on stage and to see him as he is. I just wish I could have seen him perform live at some point of my life but I was never able to do that, but that didn't stop me from listening to him all I could then and now.

Absolutely love this gentle man, he converted me to country music,I had the unexpected pleasure of riding in the elevator with his beautiful Lady and Darling Son. We were going to wait for the next one but she said no come on with us. She did not tell us who she was but we knew. On the ride up she asked us who we were there to see lol so we started gushing about how we try to go to every concert. We told her we thought he was very special ...his Son said but Mom lololo well the doors open and we left. I will never forget how normal down to earth she was and seemed interested in us wow.
