Honestly there should be a series each covering the careers of individual skaters. It's a community with so many cool and interesting people would be great to watch
Steve still smooth as silk. Mad respect to Tony for trying to land the flip out of the pipe, crazy. Rodney, still unassumingly the best skater ever. Seeing that Rodney smile after a trick almost makes me feel the joy of landing it clean myself. 3 Kings in the Halls of Skate.
You can tell that tony is still legit pushing himself at that age. Crazy. Steve still has buckets of style and damnit has anyone ever been happier doing anything than rodney is when he's on a board?
watching Tony and Steve is watching two of the finest acrobats that revolutionised the genre like no one before. and also simply impressive what they still can do, when i.e. footballers stop playing at around 30-35. however watching Rodney is none of that. Its ballet, its art, its simply a beaut. Its not a thing of loud impressive stunts and screams of excitement. its mesmerising and regularly leaves me sitting there with an open mouth and wondering what impossible yet so elegant thing will happen next.
@@liammooney4751 very true. I found him while watching some Braille Skateboarding Videos. This young Anderson is such a talent. But letting aside all his skill, his way of sort of engineering his way trough new tricks and with all of his creativity that lets one think of a early Rodney: All that aside, he is also a good guy, a teamplayer and a good teacher at that young age... I'm very looking forward on seeing what he will bring to the game in 5-10 Years.
Okay I appreciate your nice words but saying that Tony revolutionised the genre like no one before...? Rodney Mullen created almost every trick known to man today
@@kaitlin4paramore you're focusing on the wrong part of my statement: what I wrote about Tony and Steve is simply to give them credit for their body of work - which, to be quite honest, is also pretty impressive: 900, Loopings, Spirals, crazy Vert projects... just to name the most obvious ones. The important part of my statement is actually the same what you are saying: Rodney is on another level... its not simply sport, its not loud, its mesmerising art and yes: it also defined the game like no other.
Caballero has always been my favorite all around skater. As a middle aged man, I'm thankful that these men, who started as children, have been able to grow up, raise healthy and happy families, and remain prosperous due to their talent and desire to use a "toy" to the best of their ability. Most humans never even get into a career that fulfills them, or brings them joy, and then there is this bunch. Lance should be here, as well. Bones Brigade!
The 80s and early 90s where I skated EVERYWHERE. No internet life was amazing. Thanks for good times and inspiration guys! 47 yo now but skating was so free and fun. Wouldn't change a thing. With 98 a TBone wheels ha

Thank you Steve, Tony and Rodney for all the years of bad ass skating much love and to tony and friends thank you all, for the skate park in Detroit makes the streets a little less funky. Gleaming the cube you all are still bringing the smiles. Peace
I was watching Rodney Mullen skate on a 34cm rear tube TV in my room in Germany when I was almost 6 years old in 1986. I am now in Australia and 41 years old... AND HE IS STILL KILLING IT!!!!!!
So great! I love these guys still look like teenagers when they're skating. It always puts a smile on my face. Never get old! They is no such thing as 'old'!
I grew up on those videos and oddly enough I learned. I remember tony hawk having the weirdest kick flips in that video because everytime he did a kick flip the board would flip and hit the ground and flip right back in place.
@@SonicFast23 Yes, the dude was and still is a legend bit his kickflips weren't the best on flat ground. We used to talk a sloppy kick flip that came almost vertical a tornado flip. Haha good times
Man, Rodney just dances with the board. His level of balance and creativity are unmatched. Sure there's a handful of skaters who could recreate most of it, but it'd be just that: copying Rodney. First to ever do it that way, last to ever do it that way. Legend.
And Tony signed my board earlier this year, when he was in the NikeSB shelter in Berlin for a social skate project. I'm so happy about that and i will never forget this day :)
Rodney Mullen is the Godfather. So much respect for this man. And to think, his Dad hated the fact that he skated and actually wanted him to quit at one point because he thought it wouldn't lead to anything. Little did he know that his son was one of the most naturally gifted skaters in human history.
O wow the kings of Skateboarding. 😎👍👍👍 Absolutely amazing and hats off to you guys. You shaped my childhood and we will always be grateful for what u guys did.
Damn seeing Rodney "work" is a thing of beauty, you randomly drop a clip of one of the most insane things i ever saw, (and i saw all his parts through my 20 years of following him) casper stall 360 flip(?) into primo.... that is just stupid
I remember when I was 9 or 10 years old, around 1990, asking for my very first skateboard for Christmas....a Powell Peralta Caballero. Had to have it...and I was SPECIFIC! ...I got a Nash. Thanks Dad.
I use to watch the Search For Animal Chin before I would go skate . Skated to middle school for 3 years almost 4 lol. Built ramps and had some nice spots in the small city I lived in. When I started snowboarding alot of mountains did not allow snow boards at that time. I loved skateing and snowboarding and am glad to be part of the some what beginning of the sports ! These guys transformed skateing and it would not be what it is today without them. Thanks Dudes !
Steve Caballero is my hero! I was skating his decks(my favorite one: dragon bats red/red) in the early and mids 80´s and I loved it! Bones Brigade forever!!!
I saw all 3 of these guys back in the day... Rodney had his little freestyle board while the others were riding this massive ramp catching huge air... Definitely the stars that day. Fast forward all these years and it was Rodney sleeping as the best skater ever looking back on it all.
Yr 2000 was epic time in all extreme sports. I'm glad to see tony and anyone still doing it. Tony hawk and others hold a nostalgia for some reason also the sound tracks.
It's very nice to see these guys still in shape to still be able to skate and yes it would be nice to have a Netflix document on the legendary skateboarders Tony hawk Ronnie Mullen and all the others too 👍👍👍🖒🖒🖒
That park footage from Tony is awesome! Don't see him doing many street tricks, but it's so cool that he is still trying to learn it. He knows he will never be will never be a street pro but even in his age he is still risking injury by trying to improve!
What i think makes Rodney the best is not just the tricks he made and can do, but the fact he's literally the best skater and he gets excited to see Tony and still thinks other skaters are better than him. Never heard him brag about his skill or compare it to other skaters to show how good he is. He just loves skating, and skatings all he cares about, him and Andy Roy both have crazy passions for skating

Rodney was so great that street skating needed him to progress and once he started doing it he placed his mark on the world as the goat

True story 🤘🏻
Looked like a great day

Rodney is happier on a board than Johnny Sins when he is 8" up the rear end of a smoking hot Brazilian 😂🤣
Watching Tony Hawk skate street is like when they change the actor on a TV show
Petar Stoiljkovic he would have the spin tricks down tho 😂
When he rolled up to the big stair set I honestly got confused.
Like when charlie sheen left two and a half men
One of the rodney scenes literally was him filling in for Ben Stiller
Seriously
I'm a simple man.
I see new Rodney footage, I click.
