    Here's what I think. They were separated and I'm sure they both made an agreement that they could see other people, so Jada didn't cheat. Jada's betrayal stems from the fact it was a person the Smith family welcomed into their home and life. I think Will reached a point where he wanted to work things out with Jada, and that meant Jada had to come forward with her relationship. Will was angry because it happened "under his nose" in a way, and if he hadn't committed any transgressions up until now, I think he definitely took the advantage at this point to "get her back." Jada continued her relationship for some time because Will probably wasn't having it, but she also came to the realization she wanted to get her marriage back on track. Then they got back together; the end. I believe the interview is awkward because as much as you try to train your logical brain in therapy, that doesn't mean you always successfully inhibit what you're programmed to feel. Will felt betrayed, and having this conversation about an extremely personal period in their marriage is likely bringing up some of those past emotions. Jada is so nonchalant talking about this experience because, at the time, she might not have thought she was doing anything wrong, and maybe still doesn't. Like she said, only Jada could choose who she dated, but from Will's perspective, it sucks that it had to be Aug.

    • @robertkuryk5990
      @robertkuryk5990 4 ปีที่แล้ว +141

      If a man was who cheated I think you would be speaking very differently. It seems like you are finding every reason to justify what Jada did. She cheated, that’s it.

    • @signingraiza8068
      @signingraiza8068 4 ปีที่แล้ว +207

      @@robertkuryk5990 No, I don't have a particular bias whether it be man or woman, and no, I'm not trying to justify her actions. I share the same viewpoint about separation that Mr. Recenello mentioned in his analysis. Separation = Break Up. If you break up with your girlfriend / boyfriend and get back together with them, you cannot blame them for the things that took place during the break. Not everyone views separation like that, in which case yes, what Jada did can be considered cheating, but that's not my perspective. I'm also not at all condoning Jada's actions. When it comes to serious cases of mental health and addiction, the last thing the sufferer needs is to be involved in a relationship. I do think Jada took advantage of Aug's situation, but I don't think she cheated. Those are two independent things. Additionally, I think Will has a right to be angry, because I know I would feel exactly the same way. However, holding on to that anger and having it at the forefront of your thoughts day in and day out nearly GUARANTEES a "bad marriage for life."
      You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, and this is mine.

      Something about their video rubs me in all of the wrong ways. If Jada was going to do all of the talking, why was Will there to begin with? It really feels like the whole point was to hurt him publicly. This conversation was important to have, but not on camera. Jada is here for Jada and uses people. The way she talks to Will and about August is in reference to their utility value to her self-development. I personally don't really care if they're swingers, or cheating on each other, in a marriage of convenience, but this didn't help to endear anyone to Jada Pinkett.

And then the bad marriage for life thing. Idk it just seemed super fucking weird, it seemed like they were ok with it at face value but if you look deeper it seems like they are not ok and here's why. One of them is obfuscating language and the other one isn't letting it happen, one says its healed and the otherone basically says Im going to hurt you, and then the response is you have already hurt me and the response to that is imma hurt you more, does that seem like the kind of conversation two completely ok and inlove people would have? I honestly think they are both guilty. Jada is painted as the bad person here and will the hurt victim. When in reality they both were cheating and they both knew. I definitely think Jada was trying to get back at will in this interview by publicly humiliating telling her story of cheating so he looks like he got played in everybody’s eyes when he already knew she was cheating he was just embarrassed it leaked out. I think Jada was trying to get back at will because he may have been emotional or physical abusive towards her in their relationship. If you listen to the video of them dating she says that will hit over the head with a newspaper because he felt she disrespected him so this is her way of leveling. So she ends up appearing like a big narc but I do not think will is this innocent hurt puppy.

    Not gonna lie, Jada's attitude towards the whole situation really annoyed me. I hate getting involved in celebrity drama, because why would I care about some actor's relationship when I don't care about my doctor's relationship? People are people regardless of their profession, but regardless I still feel the desire to add my two cents into this discussion because I've been in both Will and Jada's situation in a way. Jada is incredibly defensive and protective of her perspective. It's obvious to me that she doesn't want to admit that she might have caused Will pain by having an affair, because that would mean she would have to take some serious time looking into her psyche. When she reframes this affair as an "entanglement" and as "helping someone" or as the product of her being damaged, she is excused from having to feel guilt and shame. Instead of putting herself in the shoes of the man who raised her children, and experiencing even a miniscule moment of empathy, she avoids the truth and EXPLAINS a twisted version of reality to a man who is clearly looking for an apology. You can tell by the way Will looks at her that there's a lot of resentment, and he probably even wants her to make a fool of herself on camera so she comes off as the bad party. The dude is hurt and searching for some closure. Wish the both of them luck because it's surely going to take a lot of time for Jada to feel legitimate regret and repair the faults she caused.

    • @user-qj2oh

      It wasn’t an affair? They were broken up/separated... she’s allowed to do what she wants and to heal how she wants. Yes it probably hurt Will but she is being defensive because so many people are accusing her of cheating when she didn’t cheat. She is acting like this because it happened years ago. Why would she dwell on the past and feel horrible for something she did a long time ago.

    • @briannasmith7746
      @briannasmith7746 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Minnie K they were still legally married. If they both thought of it as a final separation then divorce would’ve been on the table. Seems like there was miscommunication like Will thought it was a breather and Jada felt it was final. However it went though it’s still an affair if they’re married, even if separated.

    • @ktsb1563
      @ktsb1563 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@briannasmith7746 umm, you have to be separated for months or years depending on what state you live before filing for divorce and then divorce could take years. and its hella expensive to obtain, so I'm just gonna tell you that being separated is still broken up, just like if you break up with someone and later get back together its not an affair. If they intended on getting back together, thats on these two fully grown adults to discuss the terms of that separation.

      I think it’s normal for her to be detached from the situation because like Anthony said, Aug was like a rebound to Jada several years ago and then she got back with her husband. I think around this time is when Will was trying to be perfect for her and she just couldn't see it so they separated. So to me probably taking Will's spot it must feel so crappy that even if you give your 100% to someone, and they still cant see past themselves is such a draining feeling. I took the "feel good" remark with passion in how she said it, how she would smile and perk up when talking about August, to refer to intimacy and sexual satisfaction. I think for a husband to watch his wife share with him and whole world that she wasn't satisfied with him but became satisfied sexually with her son's sick friend who needed help..it looked really painful and uncomfortable for will. It's not just what she said but how she said it. And August's new song confirms that it was primarily a sexual relationship. Also private msgs from 50 to will after show indicate other people heard same thing i did. It's one of those things when i guess will shouldn't have asked question if he didn't want to know the answer. And how can he only be learning this now, have they not even communicated at all about this and needed this show to be able to have a conversation. (If show was a PR move then it was poorly executed and unsuccessful at that)

    I think Jada didn't want to divulge that much information because of a combination of wanting to maintain her public image and also to not hurt Will. Will probably didn't want to disclose too much information because, honestly, it could still be fresh on his mind, weighing him down despite him saying, "He's over it." But what do you think about the fact that Jada had an "entanglement" with August when he was mentally and emotionally vulnerable?

    • @evanislost

      This is what bothered me about the whole thing. The reason she is skating around everything is because she doesn’t want the narrative to be that she took advantage of someone. But it felt a little gross to hear her talking about how she grew from it and what she learned when it’s like yeah ok girl but to get there you used someone more vulnerable than you in almost every way (in age, in status, in health...) and it’s just like ok, if y’all were broken up on my end it’s fine to have a rebound. And it also feels great to help other people. But those two things can’t involve the same person. I kept thinking how I volunteer at a shelter and yes helping people makes me feel good, but if someone hot happened to come in for help, sleeping with them while they’re trying to get their life together would be so wrong and such a breach of ethics.

Clearly this was not an organic and flowing conversation. They are A-list in the business and probably hired a great editor but if this was the best they could do? it's no bueno. So to answered Anthony's question, Yes, they both did a half-ass job on this interview.

    Resentment is a relationship killer. No matter what the original issue is. Once that resentment for each other settles in, there's no going back. That's all I see here: 2 people that resent the hell out of each other.

    Don't feel weird about it. They are laughing it through because:
    1- It happened a long time ago;
    2- They are struggling to keep it to the strictly necessary, not only because they are private people but also because there are other people's emotions at stake. Think about their kids, for example.
    3- They are able to laugh about themselves, including of their misery. It's a defensive mechanism as well.
    In essence, I feel like they told us what we needed to know. Let them keep their "weirdness" to themselves.
    I understand that we are all here to learn but sometimes, science doesn't do it. Feelings may be the best dictator.

    It doesn't sit right with me that they first mentioned how August was in a rough time, and they looked at August as someone in need of some kind of help, and then when Jada and Will break up she gets into an "entanglement" with the person who was down and needed help. That seems like manipulation 101.

    The backstory is that Will and Jada were separated and Jada got into a relationship with their son, Jaden, friend, August. But, people think the situation is weird because August has an autoimmune disease and was abusing drugs to cope with that so the Smiths took him in and found him doctors and counselors to help him get better. Will and Jada were separated during that time and August would hang out with Jada, Jaden, and the Smith's daughter, Willow; a relationship in time ensued between Jada and August. August just dropped an album this month and did an interview that recapped his life since he was in the hospital sick and not being able to walk and a question about his love life came up and that''s when Jada was mentioned and many people were shocked because they thought he was just a family friend. This 'entanglement' happened over four years ago and people are mad at Jaada because they felt she used a sick person who came looking for help, but I don't see it that way.

    • @hsanchezisidora

      It's weird to think that jada would "use" a sick person. I feel like judgement does no good, why would I think I hold the power to judge somebody?? Kinda sucks to judge people, it's enough with their personal repercussions (I ended up ranting oops hahaha)

      @@hsanchezisidora I don't think she used him at all because taking advantage of someone for your own selfishness is a one-way street in my view. In this situation, August and Jada were both getting something out of their relationship that helps them both in a civil manner. That security that ensures them they'll have someone to "ride with no matter what" is really problematic. It allows them to "get into entanglements" with none of the expected consequences relationships have. None of their actions are filtered, and once they do what they've done they aren't afraid that their 'partner' won't still be there. And on top of that they aren't even honest to each other about their real feelings and thoughts about this. And that exactly is what enables them to keep messing up. There are NO consequences. It keeps on getting more and more toxic. This doesn't feel like a relationship to me, it looks like two people who are afraid to let go. Fear of being alone? I don't know, that's what it makes me think

      Read in an article, which I'm not sure if entirely true, that Jada was very pressured by her mother to marry Will because she became pregnant. And her response was that she supposes she should anyway since Will wants to have a family - like she wasn't truly into it but she was obligated to. She wasn't into commitment but got pushed to; if only she knew she had the right to tell her mother she didn't want to commit

      Jada said she cried on her wedding day because she did not want to get married. Jada was sharing too much information on that Red Table Talk. When Will was married to his first wife, Jada was the side chick (but Jada claims they were not intimate doing his marriage🧐). When Will & his first wife were separated (not divorced), Will pursued Jada. Will’s ex wife file the divorce papers. Again, they shared too much information on the Red Table (Jada had the ex wife on the Red Table). Will said he regrets the divorced from his first wife. 🤷🏾‍♀️😂 Then Jada brings her “entanglement” August Alsina to the Red Table in 2018 to talk about his past drug addictions while Jada reveals she had a sex addiction (with August smiling and licking his lips sitting beside her). You can tell from the chemistry between them two that something was going on (that was in 2018). Again Jada shared too much information on the Red Table. 🤦‍♀️
