‘My Way’ introduced me to the world of white florals, what a beautiful scent! I definitely like white florals with more citrus or fruity notes, something sweet and sharp.
Used to think I hate white flower perfumes until the other week when I sorted my perfumes and checked notes & realised most of my collection is white floral fragrances 😂
Have to remind, there were some amazing Tuberose fragrances back in 1990:s! Blonde by Versace was an amazing heavy tuberose, as well as Madonna’s Truth or Dare that still exists. After the millennium shift no tuberose was used until the very recent years, maybe a trend starting with Gucci Bloom line?!
Love white florals! Pure Poison and Alien are a couple of my favorites. My Way is on my wishlist. Many of Michael Kors perfumes have white florals, including Wonderlust, which is my SOTD!
You are absolutely right about Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia 💟, my favorite Gardenia too (a realistic one sweetened up by pear), and I am Gardenia obsessed! Another Gardenia goodie, is Elie Saab Le Parfum Essentielle - this one is on the dryer side but also realistic one.
Another beautiful white floral perfume is Ralph Lauren Blue. It’s lovely and a bit hard to find but worth it! A square blue bottle. I think released in about 1996.
Love this! Living in Florida, in the late winter the orange blossoms bloom and the air is so beautifully fragrant. Elie Saab Le Parfum smells exactly like the evening air during that time of year. I also have night blooming jasmine in my front yard, and I LOVE when I blooms. The smells are similar, but I feel jasmine is fresher and orange blossom is sweeter.
I adore my way. I never used to be able to stomach tuberose, but I can't get enough at the moment. Gardenia, I think another good example is mugler aura eau sensuelle x
BTW..here's my list that features each flower: Tuberose: the original Juicy Couture Jasmine: Alien, of course Orange Blossom: Pure Poison (I get more orange blossom on my skin than jasmine, but that's why I love it so much). Also Gerlain's Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca us another one that I love. Gardenia: the original Michael by Michael Kors Osthmanthis: not sure if I have any on my collection with this note, but am wanting to try more perfumes with it).
I'm currently madly in love with a recent purchase of Michael Kors Signature EDP. White florals in it are tuberose, arum lily, white peony and chinese osmanthus.
Yes oh my goodness!! I only have the tiniest tester , but I would absolutely LOVE to get a full size of it. It's my absolute favorite, I always smell my little sample size. I am so scared to use it though because I don't want to run out 🥲 I can't wait till I can afford expensive perfume 🙏💕 one day
I finally got a hold of the Elie Saab resort perfume and I’m absolutely in love with the smell, it’s so pretty 😍 my mom loves it too, she asked me to spray some on her
@@SophieTheArtist Amazon yes! I got most of mine from there. Gorgeous Gardenia edt, Bamboo edp, Oscar Esprit EDP, Prada La femme EDP, and Olympea EDP. Cloud Intense
This is my favorite category of perfumes. Whenever I wear a white floral i feel very great and get compliments and your recommendations are amazing. I love your videos soki. Thanks for recommending 😊❤
Love love white floral notes ( I love floral note in general) there are so many white floral based fragrances on the market and oh how I wish I could buy them all . Lol
Hello Soki! Well, I loved this because I'm a big fan of white florals too! With this said, I found myself disagreeing not with your suggestions, but rather with the description of gardenia and orange blossom as soft and girly... in fact, one of the things I appreciate about those flowers is their strong, earthy quality. I actually grew up with citrus trees, so I'm quite familiar with these scents (perks of living in Portugal hehe). But hey, all noses are different, right? And it is true that these notes are usually paired with sweeter ones that make them fade a bit... Here are my recommendations: - Gardenia: Elizabeth Taylor has a perfume literally called Gardenia that also literally smells just like Gardenia! And because of that, it's very plain and not very long-lasting (the other notes are flowers too, so there's nothing there to support the longevity). But it's a nice, inexpensive purchase if you just want to smell gardenias. In cold weather, it smells more green-ish. Elizabeth Taylor loved gardenias and so do I - I even owned a vase a few years ago, so can assure you this perfume is very realistic. Trust me, true gardenias are not discreet and typically feminine... so this perfume does a great job of representing their bold scent! - Orange Blossom: The original Elie Saab Le Parfum is indeed great, but I prefer the In White flanker when it comes to perfumes that accentuate the orange blossom note. It's more prominent in In White, perhaps due to the mandarin and red berries that help to lift it up, whereas I think that the Original gives a lot of room to the honey note. In White performs just as well as the original (I have both) and also has jasmin. I just wore it a few days ago on a warm sunny afternoon and it still projected nicely! I suspect you would like In White very much ;) I've also smelled Jo Malone's Zara Fleur d'Orange in the store a few months ago, and found it very accurate too :)
Hi Soki, I'm another subscriber who blind bought Elie Saab le Parfum based on your recommendation and I love it ❤️ I bought the resort collection for summer too 😁 Love your videos!
Oh I love that you've done videos like this. I'm in love with your content. I love that you give us the notes of perfumes and tell us what perfumes have those notes, and what other notes they have. This is so educational and I'm a big fan. Thank you from a new subscriber. Been subscribed for a few days and have watched a couple of hours of your content already. 💜💜 Love from Germany
Great review Sophie ! I also love tuberouse & jasmin scents. The Gucci bloom nectare di Fiore is my favourite. It have three of White flowers scent that you mention: tuberouse, jasmin & osmanthus
I got a sample of Gardens of India from Lucky Scent here in the U.S. based on your recommendation. I love it and I am saving for the full bottle. I have Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia fragrance. It is affordable, great sillage, and I love the bottle.
Also, I agree with you about “Alien”... I initially loved it, but the heavy sweetness is cloying, and it gives me a headache or a nauseating feeling. I may have to try the Alien EDT, I’ve heard it’s less intense. Maybe heavy jasmine isn’t my thing. 😂
YES Alien EDT is much lighter, and I also prefer it. In the meantime I spray the EDP in the air and walk through the mist. That also helps lighten it up. Also similar to Alien EDT is Modern Muse by Estee Lauder EDP. Both Alien EDT and Modern Muse have other florals mixed in with the Jasmine.
Twilly d’Hermès is another great modern Tuberose (with a ginger twist in the top note). And of course another strong Tuberose is Gucci Bloom, which in my opinion is a good perfume with beautiful packaging but with too much of an 80s vibe for me...
I just got Heartless Helen from Penhaligon’s, which has a very prominent tuberose and some are saying it’s similar to My Way, which I love! So hopefully I’ll love that one as well. By the way, I don’t know if you know this, but they’re having a promotion in which they give away one fragrance from the Portraits collection when you spend at least £75. Check it out if you want something, it’s such a good deal! I got The Favourite and Heartless Helen complementary 😍 Only UK and EU.
The ultimate aldehydic white floral which I can confidently recommend-- even as dare I say it, a blind buy-- is Frederic Malle's 'Superstitious'. If you love the idea of smelling like the most expensive, artisanal and obscure jasmine soap available to womankind then make a point of seeking this one out and trying it. Due to the sparkly, fizzy, high-blue-sky aldehydes in the long opening, it positively leaps off you and gives unsuspecting passers-by a 'springtime for grown ups' experience; it will seep through every face mask in a 2 metre radius too, so if you've had problems with florals and sillage then this could be another reason to try it out on yourself. Its vibe is vintage fashion happiness and is unapologetically feminine. If you can handle the linear statement inherent in Chanel's Gardenia or Dior's Diorissimo and if the above is the effect you love and are after for yourself then I HIGHLY recommend 'Superstitious'. Me? I wear darker, more unisex scents. Take a moment to imagine what my face looked like when I first sprayed this on, unaware that it was an aldehydic white floral..ahahaha :D
Profumum Roma had a heavy gardenia perfume, and I mean heavy! Like, half a spray is enough for two days. It’s called Volo AZ 686. I highly recommend it.
I have very dry skin so perfumes don’t last on me, despite putting ointment on, underneath, so I love strong scents, so I love Alien and many of it’s flankers. I also love Elle Saab. I do like the stronger ones, as well, like Madonna’s Truth or Dare and Fracas. Tuberose is becoming popular now and my favorite one is Nazomatto’s Narcotic V. It’s a pure, feminine floral and not scary like some of the other ones in that line. Yes, expensive, but it’s perfume, not EDP so lasts many hours.
I like white florals they give some level of sophistication to fragrances in my opinion. I’m starting to really like tuberose. I love orange blossom and with l’interdit millésime I mainly get the orange blossom. L’interdit range is also a nice range with white florals.
I purchased Elie Saab based on your recommendation awhile back and loved it. Unfortunately my daughter came to visit and "borrowed" it. I will purchase another bottle soon though. It's also lovely layered with Jo Malone "Orange Blossom" body cream.
I love white florals as much as pink florals. I have tuberose and jasmine on my yard, and the tuberose has heavy creamy nutty (like boiled peanuts) scent and only produce scent at night.
Orange blossom is my absolute favorite flower! In addition to Elie Saab Le Parfum, which is undoubtedly the most sophisticated orange blossom, I am also in love with JPG's Classique Pinup and Kenzo's Flower Eau de Vie. Delicious!!!!
Hi dearest Soki I couldn't find Elie Saab le parfume I didn't smell that. what can I buy instead of elie saab le parfume? Elie saab royale & in white thank you so much
I managed to get myself ELIE SAAB Le Parfum Eclat D'Or 50ml Eau De Parfum, I have no idea what it will smell like, and cannot find info on it, just a bit on Fragrantica. I hope its nice because I love Ellie Saab Le Parfum, and the intense one.
Thank you for the great job you're doing💐 Could you please recommend me a soft jasmine perfume? Something like a real jasmine flower but not heavy. Thank you 😃
Oooh love this! White florals are literally a love or a hate for me, there is no in-between 😂. Especially jasmin, I either am addicted or it makes me nauseous... The only one that I almost always like is orange blossom. Le Parfum has been on my list for a while, it is gorgeous!! Do you know 'Le Parfum Royal'?

I love Elie Saab, it is very elegant and super long lasting for a designer perfume.

I think an underrated white floral is Burberry London. I do love Gucci Gardenia bc it has those fruits in it. Great review 😊
The fruits are what I don't like in it
Gardenia by Chanel is perfection in a bottle.

I adore my way. I never used to be able to stomach tuberose, but I can't get enough at the moment. Gardenia, I think another good example is mugler aura eau sensuelle x
BTW..here's my list that features each flower:
Tuberose: the original Juicy Couture
Jasmine: Alien, of course
Orange Blossom: Pure Poison (I get more orange blossom on my skin than jasmine, but that's why I love it so much). Also Gerlain's Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca us another one that I love.
Gardenia: the original Michael by Michael Kors
Osthmanthis: not sure if I have any on my collection with this note, but am wanting to try more perfumes with it).
Nice list !
@susanmenn5016 I ❤ love the first Juicy Couture and Pure Poison. The Juicy Couture is pretty cheap on Fragrance Net.
