I remember going into Kay Bee's toy store and seeing the Silverhawks on the shelves. It was $10 or so for Quick Silver, I remember. I didn't try to get a lot of Silverhawks, but I loved the show. The shoulder lasers fascinated me. On the way back to class from the lunchroom in 5th grade, I shot clocks, posters, locker locks and all kinds of things with my shoulder lasers.
ikr loved the show so much always said i will find someone to make an adult size tallyhawk still love the show and wish they come on with the alleged movie coming out
Loved Silverhawks back in the day. Fun cartoon, awesome looking action figures. I just picked up a Super7 Steelheart. My 1st Super7. I am pleasantly surprised.
Awesome! The Toy Room or should I say The 80's Toy Museum keeps getting better and better. also Amazing Collection Micheal well done. also great video Mike well done. also I've already miss watching Toy Museum Videos! However when I get the time I'll watch all the Toy Museum Videos, Also that small glimpse of Centurions next to your Silver Hawks Micheal, made me wanna go back and re-watch your older Centurions videos later on this year, also your Vintage Kenner Silver Hawks Figure & Vehicle Collection(1986 to 1987) was superb. Also incredible Video Micheal and the Silver Hawks evoke remarkable memories from an era we all adore, also thank you for sharing Micheal keep up the great work stay safe out there have a good day and Nerdmaste.🙂👍💪🇺🇸🇨🇦
Love this video. Maybe one of my favorites. The condition on each one of this Silvehawks is perfect. Great work on going over the details on each character. And i love the music. Thank you so much Mike.
Thanks! i remember the nostalgic fun times with the silver hawks toys n show... i remember playing them when i was confined at the hospital as a kid... its the bribe hehe.
This is sooo awesome. As a kid I had Copper Kid, the cowboy and the ship. I totally forgot that the buttons on the side spread their wings. I do remember a few of the things I wish I'd had from the commercials, including a couple of the characters and the ship that would spread its wings.
you have brought joy to my heart seeing these toys of my childhood in so good shape, although flashback always was my favourite, but wish that they make the whole body in green metallic chrome paint
Man that takes me back, never was able to get the copper kid, it never stayed on the shelves long. It would be awesome to actually walk through your museum, seeing the COPS still on their card was great
WOW!! Those were some great looking figures!! I love the way the older characters look with the street clothes compared to the current Silverhawks. Though no doubt, the chrome effect is what makes these shine, literally. And their right there for you to just pickup he have some interstellar adventures!! Is that one of the new NASA photos from the James Webb at the end of video? Super cool!! Thanks for sharing!! Nerdmasté 😗👍
Michael, great video! I've been digging into my toys from when I was a kid and found the three silverhawks I own (mon*star, buzz-saw and copper kidd). I thought who better then you to tell me about them. Thanks so much for all you do, nerdmaste!
I've missed toy museum videos! Also, that small glimpse of Centurions next to your Silverhawks Michael, made me wanna go back and re-watch your older Centurions vids. Always in awe to look at that toy museum.
Watching this video almost makes me wish my Silverhawks were loose & not MOC so I could actually handle & play with them like when I was a kid. Another great video Michael. Silverhawks rock!
This was great, Michael! I mostly overlooked Silverhawks back in the day because I had started noticing girls but I’ve been going back and researching and have developed a nice appreciation for them.
that Flashback episode is so so good. When he's being shown their destruction on a video tape, then goes back to save them, and than HE (Flashback) ends up on the video tape?!?! genius
I had the whole first wave of these except the vehicles, as a Thundercats fan I was big into this property. Loved them, my Quicksilver has barely any chrome left though the others are OK. I think Backlash is supposed to be used as handcuffs, and Mumbo Jumbo's bird can be used as a hammer.
Excellent look at the figures Michael. I had a few of the figures and loved their gimmicks. I loved how the wing gimmick transcended Silverhawks and showed up in other Kenner lines. Wasn't there a spinning Batman at one point as well as the quick wing Batman? Like my Thundercats figures, I didn't play with them for very long. I ended up folding the villains and bird accessories into my adventures with Superman and Batman.
I had quite a few of these but unfortunately they didn't survive very well. Missing pieces and really bad chipping. Now cost a fortune to replace/ relive. Best show intro ever for me
Great video Mike. Actually I liked the Hawks more than the Cats but too bad the writing wasn't better. Loved the concept, their looks, but never owned any. By the time it came out my Dad thought I was getting too old for toys, 15/16, but continued w/ Legos and when I couldn't buy my own Hawks or Transformers I'd build my own. But this reminded me of how back then I tried to find out how to submit ideas for new wave/season and created 5 new Hawks and 5 new associates of the Mob, one being a traitor to the Hawk and a brother to one of my creations, and what would have been a huge new vehicle that was composed of three vehicles. I have to dig out my old notebook, never threw anything out.
I have them all packed unopen, thanks for showing them to me lol, Only had a partial collection as a kid, I remember it broke my had I never see them at the stores past 1988. Can't wait for Super 7 reboot tho!
Absolutely a beautiful collection Mike!👍. Sad to see these are going for such a high price most of us will never now own them. Still I am glad you were able to get these back in the affordable years! Have a good weekend Mike! Tell Luana the family says hello.😁
I grew up in the mid south and only ever saw one silverhawks toy and it wascopper kid, i think. Never saw anything else. Yes we were a most wanted toy desert at times. Only like 1 He-Man in my whole town and that kid moved from Chicago 😂
great shows. heroic. very good comprehensive shows. nuthn like silver hawks in the 80s. will never be a time like that again. i imagined I was a silver hawk. I still do. was gonna get jessica rabbit. good bye Silver Hawks. tally ho!
Hello Michael, just been looking through your gi joe catalogue 🤩🤩and I am really amazed. Do you also collect the the "tiger team" where most of figures were painted differently in tiger suits??
I had the giant red attack bird as a kid. I guess that was the bad guy's big bird? My brother had the good guy's big bird. Kicking myself for not holding on to all my toys. Had some good ones.
What's vac metal's main enemy? Friction? Oil from skin? Sunlight? Since reissues became a thing, Silverhawks have been my number one want. Hasbro, I'd buy five of each, let's go!
I loved "eye damage" missiles. I was so annoyed that the never made Monstars giant squid that a sent a toy design and a letter to the toy company. They replied that they can not take submissions. I wonder if they knew I was a kid or not?
Man had the 2011 Thundercats not been cancelled I bet they rebooted SILVERHAWKS especially since Monstar was shown N mentioned. In sense that reboot had the Multiverse way b4 Marvel did. Love Copper Kid.
Man, the Mirage was the greatest. I still remember getting it when Hills was still around. Good ol'days
These toys contain so many memories! Great video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Never got into SilverHawks, but they are cool.

Did they have Ultrasonic Quicksilver?

Wow! the room keeps getting better and better.
I loved this show. Had Quicksilver, Cooper Kid, and Flashback. Would have loved to have the Mirage.
Always love a visit to the Toy Museum.

8:58... Yeah! That beautiful 80`s Design!
I remember getting these at Ollie's as a kid towards the end of the run. Still trying to hunt down a few of the later releases. Great video.
Love this video. Maybe one of my favorites. The condition on each one of this Silvehawks is perfect. Great work on going over the details on each character. And i love the music. Thank you so much Mike.
Thanks Vince, glad you enjoyed it. Have a great week!

Loved that show! Had Quick Silver, Bluegrass and Copper Kid. So underrated!
Great video buddy and the silverhawks evoke amazing memories from an era we all adore

Nice Michael
I feel like this video came from our conversation during the jc penny catalog.
Great video , great collection!
Amazing collection. Well done.

Man I would love to have these in my collection.
what a perfect toyline!!!! I had Quicksilver and the large Tallyhawk- I'd love to find a Tallyhawk
Awsome collection!
Wow, thank you, amazing and awe dropping
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

😊

Thanks, hope you and the family are having a great Saturday.
picked up a bluegrass but no accessories still waiting for the super 7 preorders since I never had quicksilver or any of them back then.
Silver Hawks are awesome
Cool.

13:25 “Why if it isn’t my old friend, Mr. McGreg… with a leg for an arm, and an arm for a leg!” 😏
😆
great shows. heroic. very good comprehensive shows. nuthn like silver hawks in the 80s. will never be a time like that again. i imagined I was a silver hawk. I still do. was gonna get jessica rabbit. good bye Silver Hawks. tally ho!
How do you managed to keep them in such a great shape? Amazing collection!
Hello Michael, just been looking through your gi joe catalogue 🤩🤩and I am really amazed. Do you also collect the the "tiger team" where most of figures were painted differently in tiger suits??
Hi there. No, I don't have many Tiger Force figures.
Wonder what you think of Super 7 showing vac-metal Silverhawks at SDCC this weekend?
I hope someone can help me. I was able to acquire a vintage kenner quicksilver. Any tips on what solution i can safely use to preserve the vac metal?
I had the giant red attack bird as a kid. I guess that was the bad guy's big bird? My brother had the good guy's big bird. Kicking myself for not holding on to all my toys. Had some good ones.
I was wondering where you got those stands for your silverhawk figures? I would love to get some for my figures?
How much is entry to tour the 80s toy museum in person?
nice👏🤝
Batman has the same vehicle look into it maybe you have it already the front of the vehicle shot out
Yup, the Batjet was a recolor of the Sprinthawk.
@@MichaelMercy you’re my toy god 👍🏽🙏🏽😁
I had this in 1986
Michael how do you handle dusting all those figures?
What's vac metal's main enemy? Friction? Oil from skin? Sunlight? Since reissues became a thing, Silverhawks have been my number one want. Hasbro, I'd buy five of each, let's go!
How big is your collection room? Like sq ft
It would have been cool if Monstarr was done in red chrome.
I loved "eye damage" missiles. I was so annoyed that the never made Monstars giant squid that a sent a toy design and a letter to the toy company. They replied that they can not take submissions. I wonder if they knew I was a kid or not?
The Mirage was cool, and weird, my buddy had one and so did i, Mine fit Blue Grass just fine, but his didn't
BTW Hasbro announced Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon toys last week in 6 inch form so chances for Silverhawk's not dead yet imo.
my chrome already turned milk.
John silver's is his name right
So it's silver's Hawks I see Kenner's dark Knight series recycle a lot of silver Hawks weapons and a gimmick
This is awesome! Were you guys into MASK? You may enjoy this one:
th-cam.com/video/hEqR7qTKP8Q/w-d-xo.html
The figures weren't very good as far as articulation and and if played with the paint wears off but they look amazing on display
Man had the 2011 Thundercats not been cancelled I bet they rebooted SILVERHAWKS especially since Monstar was shown N mentioned. In sense that reboot had the Multiverse way b4 Marvel did. Love Copper Kid.
