Thanks! I love it every time. I've noticed that if you drop into it steep enough that your Periapsis counter disappears on the map screen, you get a much more intense wormhole-y experience going through it!
Looking for a play through of the Kcalbeloh system and found your videos. You're really good mate, good music choices, great narration to keep things interesting while explaining the video. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers but i'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Woah, I didnt realise you could drop down into the wormhole directly, I thought you'd get eaten by the Kraken but that looks way cooler and way faster! Definitely gonna try it that way on my Kcalbeloh missions from now on!
Yeah do it!! you actually save a lot of delta V by "threading the needle" through the wormhole instead of circularizing & then dipping into it. You save multiple manuevers, first the circularization around the wormhole, then the burn to escape it on the other side, and then maybe another burn to escape sera if you want to go anywhere else. In my mind it only makes sense to circularize around the wormhole if you want to stay at sarnus or the wormhole itself!
@@boguekerbal Oh I've already been threading the needle after watching part of some of your later videos (sometimes threading the needle directly from a Jool fly-by which immediately results in a very big orbit around Sunorc, rather than capturing around Tylo first), I just have been aiming for 20k meters rather than the center of the wormhole lol But yeah definitely a waste of fuel to burn around the wormhole unless the wormhole itself is to be studied
@@thewanderers97 Yeah! You can minimize the probability you get flung out too far into a sunorc orbit by making sure you encounter the wormhole at your sarnus periapsis. Aim to avoid a big deflection in your trajectory angle - that is what results in big orbit changes from my experience!
So if I'm getting this right for an Aralc transfer, first is a travel to Jool/Sarnus, slowing down for possible refueling and to moderate speed going into the wormhole, then through the wormhole to Sera and burning out into an orbit around Sunorc that's just above Sera's (raise the periapsis so as not to get tossed around by Sera again), and then wait a few years for the transfer window to open up?
It works, but I did it without any planning haha. I can wait for hour long burns but can't be bothered to plan out a Sarnus transfer window that immediately precedes a Sunorc/Aralc transfer window, so I do one & wait for the other. I think the window for the sunorc/aralc window is a lot wider though because the stars take a lot longer to cycle through orbits than planets. I think probably the best thing to do now that I think about it is wait for a Sunorc/Arac alignment & then wait a year or so if needed for a sarnus or jool transfer window. The year plus or minus to wait for a sarnus or jool window should have minimal impact on the sunorc/aralc window which takes decades to cycle. It might be worth planning a few year's buffer to account for the time it takes to get to sarnus or Jool. That would be the smart way to do it. But I just started wherever the alignments happened to be at the time haha. Sarnus is a good place to refuel, but you can also refuel around Sera but it has less moons to slingshot yourself out of the system with. There's also asteroids in interstellar space in the kcalbeloh system, but a rendezvous with them would take decades so I probably don't recommend it. There is a very light asteroid belt in the aralc system near the orbit of Ahtpan that you can refuel in too, but it is out of the way of a Binary star gravity capture, slingshotting off of aralc B to capture into the system. There's a lot of stuff to consider haha, Anneheg is a very difficult location due to how deep in a gravity well it is & I didn't even attempt a manned mission haha.
YOOO! This is my first video to hit 1K views! thanks to everyone for their comments and support!
Womp womp
its so cool when you go through the wormhole!!!!

Appreciate it!

I'm glad I can keep it interesting for you guys! Thank you!!
Its crazy that you managed to do this mission with Stock-Parts only, i can't even get to Eelo properly. Keep up the good work!
Wow thanks Mumkeylord! This made my day, I will! Thanks for subscribing also!
Loving these videos dude! Crazy missions with really chill narration, keep it up!
Bro thanks!! I really appreciate it- Glad you think my narration is chill haha!!

You need to have more subscribers i cant believe it this is a nice vid
How ironic that you used the icy planet descent OSD from KSP2 when landing on a planet that is completely the opposite
Haha yeah.
I would disagree anneheg is quite chill
That's certainly one way to spell and pronounce "Aralc" kek
Good video anyway, I didn't know Kcalbeloh was playable in modern KSP.
You're right, I didn't even notice I've been reading it wrong this whole time. these names are tough lol

@@boguekerbal I see, that advice about the nature of the transfer windows is going to be really helpful, thank you!
