Thank you so much for this video. As someone who's recently been diagnosed with ADHD, I felt like sh*t and I'm sure you've been there before and you understand. These types of videos make me accept the fact that I'm ADHDer and realize that it's sometimes can be a blessing. Plz do more of these videos 🤍
I've noticed that having ADHD and being on autism spectrum conflict with each other very much a lot. All the social interaction sides that ADHD provides are conflicted with my autism and I struggle even more.
That's me! The more I Iearn about it, the more I accept myself and allow this superpower to develop even further, even though all my life others thought there was something very wrong with me.
I’m glad someone else is talking about this, if harnessed we truly do have a super power! The ability to hyper focus and fail fast is our best trait OIM
What a crazy video. The accuracy is 100%. I have been saying I have super power forever. It not a me problem but a you problem. I feel comfortable at 1000m/h. I cannot go 100m/h for a long time.
Approaching strangers without context scares me into a fight or flight state. But when I perceive an invitation, even if the other party is unaware, I confidently make the approach. The invitation could simply be a person wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt. Since they're my favorite band, I FEEL (keyword: feel) invited to tell a stranger passing by, "nice shirt!" At big networking events or parties, if there's anything that genuinely makes me interested in approaching, I do it without hesitation. But if my inner critic says, "you should go talk to them," when no part of me feels compelled and yet I still go talk to them, I make the biggest ass of myself and feel anxious as hell while doing it.
3:06 "It's like you're a new person." Boom. Those words just made me realize a lot about myself, but mostly that I would always be absorbed into new fun skills I would learn like Rollerskating and new video games. I was so invested in learning the new, that I would oftentimes find myself feeling like someone entirely different.
So i lived in a van for a few months back in 2021, and I am moving into another one at the end of this month. I NEED the stimulus. Sleeping in a parking lot and being surrounded by those noises, best sleep I have EVER had.
Also before that first band and before the apartment before that I had a very expensive and very shitty rent house. When it was time to move out we did not start packing until the day we had to be completely moved out had an entire garage sale that day
I have always said I need an emergency or something that has to be done fast! Like when I can’t seem to clean up, and when the time is running out, even better! Wow! I knew most of this already. Thank you!!
Being both an autist and ADHDer means that while focus is an immense challenge if the topic isn’t interesting, if I am invested in a matter I do absolutely phenomenal at it. Part of the reason I keep things extremely neat and clean is because with the two combined, I not only prefer neatness, but once I begin cleaning, I do not stop doing so until it is completed in the most meticulous form possible.
When you started step 3 😱😱 I immediately thought of how I had the highest grade in my college statistics class despite missing more classes than anyone else but even more importantly we were told to provide and write down all the work and equations we used to come up with our answers on our tests and every test my teacher would tell me he has no idea how my made up formulas worked which weren’t what he taught at all but I still got the right answers 🤯🤯 And number 4, I stay incredibly calm in the face of everything. And the rest, all true!! And I am a great judgement of character in minutes.. wow, this list blew my mind
✨ Summary: - ADHD leads to lower and more volatile levels of mood, motivation, and focus due to dopamine deficiency, making it easy to get sidetracked by quick dopamine hits from activities like social media and junk food. - Creating sustainable systems for natural dopamine, such as cold showers, exercise, and healthy foods, can improve mood, motivation, and focus over time. - Open communication about ADHD tendencies, like ghosting friends and loved ones, can strengthen relationships and prevent misunderstandings. - Introducing new activities and environments can help maintain interest and motivation, as ADHD brains are stimulated by novelty. - Working in sprints rather than trying to maintain a steady pace can align better with how ADHD brains function, leveraging bursts of intense focus and motivation to complete tasks efficiently.
Idk if it’s my autism or ADHD but I’m in 2nd year physics at uni. I didn’t even learn any content from any of my 10 hefty modules let alone consolidate/revise it but 2 weeks before the exams boom I got super motivated and was able to learn an entire years worth of content from a top 5 in the UK for physics uni, and be able to do decently with questions 😅 I managed to memorise 50 Electromagnetic equations after only writing each one 1-3 times one day and the next day I recalled 95% of them without even actively memorising it But the stress from CRAMMING sucks 💀
Dude, you are seriously describing me with pin point accuracy... legit gave me goosebumps with every new topic. Its like you're describing all my little quarks that i thought were unique to just me. 👏👏 %1,000 blowin..my.. mind...out!!
I remember once solving a math problem by finding a pattern much quicker than my smart math teacher. I had decided to actually focus instead of doing nothing and I was very efficient doing so.
For years and years I had bipolarity treatment which Ive ended up quiting all meds. I have a strong belief that I've been misdiagnosed. With your all insights and videos, i can tell you that my all problems (which you call them superpowers) match with your explanations. Now I have fobia to go to hospital again :( they call my impulsivity as manic episode, my lack of dopamine as depression:( I have scattered-mind and multiple projects in my hands that I struggle to manage. Now Im gaining some hope towards life with your vids :) I can handle and embrace my differently working brain. 🎉🎉🎉
I was misdiagnosed as bipolar for years. It really did nothing for my ADHD with the wrong medication. Tell your doctor what you have been experiencing lately and since childhood. Mention your childhood. Maybe take a parent or relative you knew as a child, to explain your actions in childhood.
@carriestout6422, glad to know I'm not alone in thinking this! So It's true that ADHD can sometimes be mistaken for bipolar disorder. For me, it's more about managing my thoughts, attention, and projects than dealing with mood swings. Thanks a lot for your helpful insights and suggestions!
@deliobaoduzzi6450 You’re right. Completing a small project from start to finish would be really satisfying. However, every time I begin outlining a new project, I remember an unfinished tutorial I need to complete first. This realization shifts my focus and makes me feel behind, causing me to feel overwhelmed and abandon the process altogether. I've been stuck in this frustrating cycle for weeks. But I will try to do my best again, thanks for your reminder I appreciate
@berreserifoglu4258 I also struggle with the same. Yesterday I worked on vocabulary for Hebrew class when my mind told me I needed to correct some errors I made in my Hebrew workbook. I could not relax Monday until I made corrections first to relax my mind enough to study vocabulary. It's sometimes a struggle when our thoughts remind us of something else.
I REALLY enjoy these video's! The information is spot on, the clips and animations are amazing, the music is calm and not too much. All these things makes it an amazing video. Thank you for uploading and thank you for learning us all these helpfull things!
Raw instinct can present arbitrarily and even be problematic but it can be cultivated into a talent. Attune yourself to what you’re sensitive to and utilize it to serve for good.
Major thanks! Diagnosed at 38 and didn’t know what to do with it. The math thing got me 😮 and then the calm in the storm 🙌🏻 - and everything else ✅ this helped me greatly to give it all a home, a beautiful one it is! Now hyper focusing along entrepreneuring! Let the ADHD command! 🙏🏻♥️ thanks Arinda
I forgot that i didn't eat anything for 3 days straight until i asked a family member, "did you see me eat at all since friday?" Turns out i was too much in my flow state and had in fact, eaten nothing.
Having adhd as an engineering student is very interesting, I get panic the first half of the semester when my friends doesn’t but before the exam I manage to stay very calm when my friends start to panic
I just want to thank you for this video. I have a new career path I'm exploring which actually is very interesting but I'm not learning it fast enough which is making me avoid studying it more because I'm failing and not further ahead in it... So to further avoid the task I get on YT to watch videos and came across yours as I felt down and frustrated with my mind. But after watching your video I never thought about any of those issues as super powers! Now, I feel upbeat and ready to accept my position in the Marvel Universe 😂❤
Your vids are so helpful. I am definitely still trying to just keep my head above water, trying to survive in a corporate world. Yes, I’ve been described as “fearless” but that’s because I travel alone to obscure places. Yeah, my ADHD caused me to score highly on the math part of the SAT by looking at the answers before looking at the questions. And yes, I would have made a great Navy fighter pilot. I’m kind of a G-force junkie 😊

Ever since I was a kid I used to feel lie the conversations that happen around me are too slow for me and my brain so I had a hard time staying Grounded in conversations and zoned out a lot, This video got me thinking that maybe that too was a sign?
As a guy who have adhd i can confirm that its really usefull in exam with choices cause i can ace it even without studying i just use the most logical answer
you are so correct, i've always noticed that i cook at some things and learn interests fast. also same with the maths thing. i also do impromptu good like in the crisis management. downside is that i'm always getting bad grades that don't reflect my intelect.
Can always tell the adhd youtubers who know nothing of what theyre talking about. Hyperfocus is a double edged sword. If you wield it in the way hes describing youll burn out very fast then it takes monthes to feel normal again.
IKR, I’m currently on my ‘recovery phase’ after two months of intense hyper-focus on a project that I barely slept or ate because of it. The overall tone of this video is somewhat disingenuous.
@@LongVideosToKeepComputerAwake For me pomodoro works wonders. If I feel myself hyperfocussing I set a timer for 30 minutes. I allow myself to focus until the timer goes off. Then I set a timer for roughly 10 minutes and go clean, do dishes etc. Just has to be in another room. Then I set another 30 minute timer and do my hyperfocus. That keeps me from going too long but you may be different. Just make sure somehow you set a way that you leave the room you're hyperfocusing in periodically, then have the choice to continue or not. More than likely after just a couple rounds you'll lose that only thinking of the one thing thing
Yes, the big picture, always knowing what's coming thing is very familiar to me. The issue is that most of the time I don't trust myself enough to act on these instincts. I literally have a list of things that I KNEW would will happen, and I talked about doing something about to my inner circle, but I never had the guts to do it. For example I correctly identified a fantastic investment opportunity in my town with a ridiculous potential ROI. I talked about it to my wife, but I never really got the sense that I could actually make something of it. I kept thinking wait, if that opportunity is so great, how come no one else has seized it already? Well, 3 years later and someone did lol. Now I am trying to identify what could the next thing be that I can't miss no matter what.
I like hyperfocus under pressure a lot.. but the line between not enough or too much pressure is very thin and sometimes I begin my work just a bit too late to feel overwhelmed during maybe 1h.. but then I calm down and just take a piece of paper to plan carefully the time I have left. I just need to talk to myself to hear my voice and it helps to calm me down. Then with the plan I have done I can work better and the pressure is just right as it needs to be to begin my work with the good energy and hyperfocus. It is good to plan the next day in the evening before going to bed, so it helps me calm down before going to sleep. Thanks a lot for your great content🙏🏻
Just to save time for some people that the webinar video is not suitable: It's a 2-hour (or something) long video to sell an online accountability group session thing. It might be a great thing for some, but doesn't really work in my situation. Thank you anyway for the great channel, content and everything.
You're amazing in sharing how this label fits our brains. I would like to know if you are an INFJ Meyers Briggs personality type? I am. I relate to so much of your content, but I'm only just finding myself fitting into the ADHD box, thanks to what you are sharing. I think it's a gift, not a disability btw.

Before I get started watching the video, I wanted to "drop a bit of dopamine your way." ;) I'm 60 and I have ADHD. Omystars. My son had it and back in the 80s, teachers blamed parents and said they were bad moms. Stupid stuff like that. I always swore Robby (my son) got it from his dad. And then, I realized, I had ADHD. So many topics you discuss I think give me a bit of Dopamine bc it feels so good knowing someone else has the same damn things, lol. I'm a new sub and I want to learn more about how to get Dopamine. Thank you for your hard work making these videos. They are so helpful. And I know, it is hard work. I'm writing a book and it's horrid bc I can't get motivated. Do you have any ideas for getting motivated for writing? I'm also working on beading projects, adult coloring, making jewelry. lmao Think I might be a bit here and there and everywhere???? And lastly, the short beard on you looks sooo good. You are good looking anyway, but the beard is on pointe. Thanx again.
I thought I had ADHD until watching this video. There is no way my brain would create a new way to solve a math problem or be able to think on the spot during a presentation lol. I think I am quite the opposite in those avenues
It’s annoying when you have like real life adult experiences that should teach the average person a lesson , but because we get so distracted and have burnout ADHD like doesn’t let that person learn now I am understanding better

EXACTLY! I’m great at projects when I can rush it and do it in an hour, but taking my time somehow worsens the final result.
I can relate completely !!
Im great at gift giving and molding to each person, I can make most people feel special and understood.
3:06 "It's like you're a new person."
Boom.
When it was time to move out we did not start packing until the day we had to be completely moved out had an entire garage sale that day
Background noise is your friend
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You was the reason for me to undrestand my ADHD even better
I have always said I need an emergency or something that has to be done fast! Like when I can’t seem to clean up, and when the time is running out, even better! Wow! I knew most of this already. Thank you!!
Yep In a crisis I’m able
Normal stuff not so much
Work place decisions awful at
Being both an autist and ADHDer means that while focus is an immense challenge if the topic isn’t interesting, if I am invested in a matter I do absolutely phenomenal at it.
Part of the reason I keep things extremely neat and clean is because with the two combined, I not only prefer neatness, but once I begin cleaning, I do not stop doing so until it is completed in the most meticulous form possible.
I journal my life and notice how my ADHD mind works. I highly recommend it.
How do you do that?
When you started step 3 😱😱 I immediately thought of how I had the highest grade in my college statistics class despite missing more classes than anyone else but even more importantly we were told to provide and write down all the work and equations we used to come up with our answers on our tests and every test my teacher would tell me he has no idea how my made up formulas worked which weren’t what he taught at all but I still got the right answers 🤯🤯
And number 4, I stay incredibly calm in the face of everything. And the rest, all true!! And I am a great judgement of character in minutes.. wow, this list blew my mind
Bang bang bang - What are WONDERFUL video - UNEQUIVOCALLY one of the best I've ever seen and so rockingly TRUE
Is the fact that ADHD people's brains need emergency situations to thrive, the reason ADHD people procrastinate?
Wow!!!! Great question!!! You mighta just found the key there! 🤯
I think you’re right on!
WAIT! Oh my god, I have something really important to tell my parents.
✨ Summary:
- ADHD leads to lower and more volatile levels of mood, motivation, and focus due to dopamine deficiency, making it easy to get sidetracked by quick dopamine hits from activities like social media and junk food.
Thanks!
Idk if it’s my autism or ADHD but I’m in 2nd year physics at uni. I didn’t even learn any content from any of my 10 hefty modules let alone consolidate/revise it but 2 weeks before the exams boom I got super motivated and was able to learn an entire years worth of content from a top 5 in the UK for physics uni, and be able to do decently with questions 😅
I managed to memorise 50 Electromagnetic equations after only writing each one 1-3 times one day and the next day I recalled 95% of them without even actively memorising it
But the stress from CRAMMING sucks 💀
Dude, you are seriously describing me with pin point accuracy... legit gave me goosebumps with every new topic. Its like you're describing all my little quarks that i thought were unique to just me. 👏👏 %1,000 blowin..my.. mind...out!!
BASE jumping entrepreneur computer/AI architect polymath ADHDer reporting in. All of your points seem very accurate.
"you can stay focused on a task "especially" if you're interested in it????" - no, ONLY if you are interested in it, you mean
No, only if your brain is interested in it. If you are, but your brain disagrees too bad
Please make video about unhappiness, loneliness and not being able to find a life partner as an Adhd person, thanks, keep up the good work.
100% agree with you . Some times i found that I'm the beast , I'm the Danger , Sometimes i found myself chasing Danger purposefully 😊
About damn time! I have been saying this for decades. Thank you
I remember once solving a math problem by finding a pattern much quicker than my smart math teacher.
Try to end one little project . Take advantage of the days in which you feel more clarity . Stay away from your phone and computer .
I literally have had to rewind 30 seconds or more 15 times while watching this because i get distracted and stop listening for a bit.
I REALLY enjoy these video's! The information is spot on, the clips and animations are amazing, the music is calm and not too much. All these things makes it an amazing video. Thank you for uploading and thank you for learning us all these helpfull things!
So glad you liked it!
Dude I'm literally starting like 6 business at the same time, Course after course, I'm out of money😂😂😂 so glad I found your channel❤
Never gonna call it a disorder but super power, you completely nailed it, never seen something like this😮 5th one suits me like crazy
Well I just realized I have ADHD and you got a new subscriber and I'm going to go talk to a doctor right now this makes so much sense it's crazy
I forgot that i didn't eat anything for 3 days straight until i asked a family member, "did you see me eat at all since friday?" Turns out i was too much in my flow state and had in fact, eaten nothing.
This channel is a real blessing. May god bless you.
Thank you 💙
Great Video. This is my new "let me explain who I am" video that I could share with people who don't get me. Perfect!
Having adhd as an engineering student is very interesting, I get panic the first half of the semester when my friends doesn’t but before the exam I manage to stay very calm when my friends start to panic
It explains my big picture thinking that can help me with studying Theology or my Hebrew grammar concepts!
This is spot on!
This why I was a trauma nurse rockstar 🎉❗️❗️ thank you for helping me feel better and normal 💖💖💖
Is that actually why? Are you really adhd? That is interesting my life, which has no one bleeding init 😂 feels really slow and boring for me
I just want to thank you for this video.
I'm just loving this channel more and more. You're videos are really effective and so relatable!
Glad it's resonating. More on the way. 🫡
Bros smart. He's getting me to watch this and his next video? Solid
Thank you so much bro. Appreciate it. This is making me way more confident in my ADHD and what some call "personality traits"
#5…. My rabbit hole journeys do NOT lead to productivity. Knowledge without action. Only exception is when I play a musical instrument. And I cannot access it on demand, and the pairing thing doesn’t work for me. Cold showers on the other hand…
Cold shower 500% Dopamine spike. I do them daily for the same reason
Wow this one really did it for me, yes I have ADHD. Thank you for not letting me not believe it ❤
As a CS student: It’s not a bug, it’s a feature
I love this video- just had to cut it to 3 sections lol i loveeee hyperfocus! I so love getting into it.
I have undiagnosed ADHD but I also have childhood trauma and social anxiety so life is sooo damn hard..
I watched, listened and spotted the UPN logo during your presentation of our first superpower😂.
Wow dude love your channel Thank you for your content. I have had added my whole life. These have really been helping me at work recently. Great stuff, keep up the good work. Cheers 🍻 ❤💯👊
Thank you! Glad the videos help 💙
I don't understand how other Adhd people learn how to do youtube channels. I need to learn so many things. I can't even get myself to OPEN my email app. It's STUFFED.
Honestly same I don’t have any of these abilities only the down sides
I think the same ,maybe it's one of their special interest or maybe their i.q is higher .not all adhd are equally smart .
I know i had to do something on phone, but somehow i opend TH-cam instead and while doom scrolling i found this video. Thank you now i can get back to whatever it was i should have done half a hour ago 😑
Love the content, I'd imagine the problem with a channel on ADHD is that you've got extra pressure on watch time hours 😅
hey ADHD's, 8:02 - this moment feels so good doesn't it?
his voice and background music are so pleasant and soothing
you are so correct, i've always noticed that i cook at some things and learn interests fast. also same with the maths thing. i also do impromptu good like in the crisis management. downside is that i'm always getting bad grades that don't reflect my intelect.
What is the correct way to manage hyperfocus? I tend to burn out a lot due to that
@@LongVideosToKeepComputerAwake For me pomodoro works wonders.
@@findlestick oof, I hate those long ones. I could deal with the recovery of those, the worst part is never wanted to do the thing again after
@@TheKlopka thank you very mucho for this information. It is gold
I love when he says we ask ourselves.. WHAT IF ? ✌️🏹💞
Friends! Which one of these is your favorite adhd superpower??
Hyperfixation.
Hyper focus!
The underpressure
The courage to try novel challenges
Just to save time for some people that the webinar video is not suitable:
It's a 2-hour (or something) long video to sell an online accountability group session thing.
It's not a long video but I can't concentrate so I keep pausing and coming back because I don't want to miss any information.... God this ADHD is killing me
Missed it 3 times and had to rewind 3x . I'll focus now.
Great Video. Could relate to a lot of my experiences.
You are giving me hope. Thank you.
Really like this one 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 None of this is new; but the compilation of these points together & the way you designed the pro/con & explanations is very well done ❤
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)
i had a a generous month to study the terminology for up coming exam i kept putting it off, 3 weeks past its thursday an exam is monday i fell into this urgent state an studied all weekend , im baffled with how i got 95 percent on my exam,
Before I get started watching the video, I wanted to "drop a bit of dopamine your way." ;) I'm 60 and I have ADHD.
I once completed a whole 4 Week long assignment in a single afternoon.
I thought I had ADHD until watching this video. There is no way my brain would create a new way to solve a math problem or be able to think on the spot during a presentation lol. I think I am quite the opposite in those avenues
Very good information. Thank you!
Great editing and information!
Amazing.... We always tend to ask "Wha if?"
Great video..., thank you very much and hope better success to you!
where is the comment with the list of the 5 things?
hahaha so true I always search for this type of comments
i believe there was no need, because you are interested in the video so you will watch the whole thing :D thats what happened to me at least
I see one fire fighter to have adhd😮❤
It’s annoying when you have like real life adult experiences that should teach the average person a lesson , but because we get so distracted and have burnout ADHD like doesn’t let that person learn now I am understanding better
