Why did God harden Pharaoh heart, if he had wanted so desperately to free his people?

To show His (Gods) power...and yet, Pharaoh hardened His own heart...God was testing Him and it also connects to us...read
Chapter 9 verse 30 it says "but as for you and your servants, I know that you will not yet fear the Lord"
And also in the end of chapter 9, where it says When the storm stopped, He still sinned more and hardened his own heart, Pharoah was not afraid of God but only the storm and lied to Moses...but moses already knew...

@@Humberto.v16 In a previous chapter when God is talking to Moses out of the burning bush and tells Moses to go tell Pharaoh to let his people go, God says "I know that pharaoh will not let them go" because God knows all things, so God didn't make pharaoh heart hardened before pharaoh hardened himself. God merely sped up the process.
