It’s okay ! The summer through fall are great ! Winter is horrible! I’ve been here since 2021! My lease ends in April 2026 and I don’t plan to stay in Spokane but it’s not awful ! It’s overpriced for sure !!!
Thanks for the information. My son moved to Spokane about a month ago. The pros are things he has mentioned. Some of the cons he has discussed are, homeless, neighbors complaining of car break ins and aggravated drivers. Seems like the residential areas are very nice, but around the college and apartments are another thing 😅
Myself and my soon to be wife and going to be settling in Spokane working for Flynn Canada as a tradesman. I’m in canada currently and have been outside of the states since ‘94. My biggest question is as a mid 30 yo man with no/new credit… ( as I’ve lived abroad my whole life…) how long will it take to build my credit?
Credit can usually be built in 6 months or less. Best advice here is to get an American credit card right away. Start using it for small purchases and pay it down every month. Keep it between 10-20% used and 80% empty. Don’t let it get above 25% full without paying it down. This will help boost your credit. If you have any family who have good credit you can get added as an authorized user which helps boost credit also. Final advice is if you own a car refinance it with an American company. It will immediately become your best credit building block. Best of luck!
For small business go somewhere else its not great. If you do construction plan to work 7 to 8 months most even in unions. Winters can be snowy. I came from sac it used to be slow and affordable back in 2016 now its time to go somewhere else.
Probably you’ve only experienced this behavior in Seattle. I grew up in Spokane and always had plenty of friends. That is until I moved to Seattle and realized the Seattle freeze is a real thing
@@jaylee6769 It sure is a real thing. It's a social wasteland, and I think it played a role in the issues and problems Seattle has today. The Federal Reserve couldn't print enough money to pay me to live there ever again.
Born and raised in Spokane and I'm still here. I've seen the city change not always for the best my biggest thing is a native in local is if you're going to move here you're getting away from the politics in Seattle leave the politics in Seattle don't don't vote the same way you did when in Seattle, also if you're reading the reddits understand that diversity thing they're complaining about we're getting it but we're getting it slowly not bad thing, and jump back to politics, the politics here are prettymixed ive seen trump signs and sitickers, biden signs and sticker, hell I've seen even Burnie Sander's sickers here.

I’m moving me and my son to Spokane. I’m from the south Texas that is!! What’s is racism consider for you? I live around real redneck and passive aggressive racism YT. Please elaborate more?
Spokane people don’t know enough to be truly racist. They may be culturally insensitive, but not racist. If you are black, they will think you moved here to be on the basketball team. If you are Hispanic, you are likely to be asked what Indian tribe you are from. Coming from Alabama, I know racism. Spokanites don’t really care as long as you live in a house or apartment.
If you're used to crime, Spokane is great. Washington State welcomes criminals with open arms. Drug use in public is normal. Homeless camps are prevalent. Shootings, stabbings and burglary is a common occurrence. Spokanes Police officers hands are tied. State laws prevent them from actually doing their job in many situations.
@kadishaprice47 lol no way Spokane is even on the same level of violent crime as Philly, this guy would prob shit himself in southwest Philly lmao. It does look like Spokane has very high property crime tho according to stats, far higher than national average.
Great video, very informative. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching :)

In what way is it overpriced. You can’t possibly mean housing cost because it is low there.
@ no tf it’s not especially for what you get ! The weather sucks and so do most of the people !
2006 was definitely not when the first 24 hour drive through opened. "Buy a house from me because I know stuff" -this guy
I really wish we had some sort of EDM or Club nightlife in or near Spokane. I don't think we will get anything like this in a really long time.
Agreed!
Definite option💯💯
Are you from Washington or what State are you from?
Yes from Washington! Been in Spokane for 20+ years 😊
@@livinginspokanewashington509 I'm from Washington State too! I was born in Vancouver and I've been living in Vancouver in my whole life.
I just moved here from southern california.. where do the 30 something single ladies hang out?
Some of my favorite places to go out include Baby Bar, Borrachos, Fast Eddie's, Nyne, and Monterey Cafe. Cheers!

I grew up there. Great city in so many ways, especially the people. However drugs and homelessness has become a problem I hear

Native Washitonians have a difficult time making friends. And they seem angry if you move to wa from another state.. they do not want you there.
