Greetings from Quebec, Canada! I wanted to share my heartfelt admiration for the enchanting country of India. During my visit, I was mesmerized by the diverse and breathtaking landscapes, the rich and flavorful cuisine, the vibrant culture, and above all, the real treasure isn't the magnificient Padmanabhaswany temple but the sincere kindness displayed by the people. My time in India left an everlasting impression on me, and I feel truly grateful for the wonderful experiences I had 🙏. I miss India so much, especially Kerala 😉.
Agreed. If the treasure was in London, culturally it would be on display in glass vaults and millions of people would be able to walk past it, honor it, and respect its historical value. Scholars would be able to learn about the history of the temple, its trade, and the history of the region. Maybe it would be better culturally if the temple had the means to put the treasure on display. We know the treasure isn't being used fiscally to help the poor people of India.
I lived my whole life in Trivandrum,it may not be as developed as Kochi but this royal city and its treasures are hidden in plain sight. This temple is in the heart of the city but if you have an eye for architecture you will see it’s ancient forts and walls which find its way through modern buildings, oddly placed random palaces and ancient houses ,community of multiple generations Tamil Brahmin priests and the whispers of it’s treasures and myths.Unlike Mysore kings ,Travancore kings were humble ,they never lead a lavish lifestyle or spent money on majestic palaces .India had many rich kingdoms but got looted by invaders but Travancore got lucky with their treasures.
Trivandrum is now the fastest growing city in Kerala with the arrivalk of Vizhinjam port. The new projects planned for Trivandrum will propel the city as the number one city in Kerala soon.
Very well presented. Interesting to hear about the different ways in which the wealth accumulated. Wonder how come the East India company was not tempted to lay their hands on this wealth
Unlike the Portuguese, Dutch and the French, the British never messed up with religion. They were very shrewd to not understand the ramifications of that. Thrippadi Daanam was a political masterstroke by King Marthana Varma. By doing so he ensured that the gargantuan wealth is safely secure in the vaults under the sanctum Sanctorum of the temple. Access to the temple was only to the Hindus anyways. He was quite powerful on the military front too. In fact the only European Navy to be defeated is the Dutch Navy by Travancore ( The Battle of Colachel) Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan could only defeat the princely state of Cochin but not Travancore. The British was not aware of the magnitude of the wealth present in the Temple. Such was the secrecy that was maintained. The wealth belongs to the Lord. The status quo should not be altered.
Travancore was a princilly state , British didn't had a complete control on this kingdom, it was ruled independently by the Maharaja of Travancore. Hence British couldn't mess up over here.

Sadly only western culture typically puts such treasure on display so that the public can view, honor, and learn from them in glass vaults. Scholars would also like to examine the treasure to learn about history, trade, etc. It is debatable if the treasure is being used for its highest culture use. It is definitely isn't being used fiscally to help the poverty of the region or India in general.

It is deeply touching that a King would, with great reverence and humility, apply himself as a caretaker or custodian in the name of God. Do the administrators use some part of the wealth for education, hospitals, etc. like Tirumala Tirupati devasthanam, in the name of God? I am not well versed about this temple, as I am with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Please let me know.
It was a bank in old time. They used to give loans to local Kingdom during hardtime or war etc . The gold doesn't belongs to the god, it belongs to the temple and whoever ran it during that time. Yes God didn't ask for any gold.
What happened to the gifts ( treasure) ??? Is it under the Indian government or under temple organisation?? Why they 've never show this treasure which they got from the vault to the public??? And why there is no picture of vault "B" ?. Why you guys are considering snakes as a bad symbol to open the vault even its a place of god vishnu ji. Please answer these questions i have these questions in my mind since i heard about it.
Why is no one talking about the vault g,h which also have been open since centuries. Vault b has been opened several times even after the order of supreme court.
@Santhosh Kumar it has been published and the inventory has also been taken . It is officially in the records of the padmanabhaswamy temple. It is true info.
The British's role in preserving Indian heritage is criminally underrated. The British surveyed, researched and protected many monuments of our great Bharat Varsh and humanity as a whole.
They were the ones who discovered the existence of our famous emperor Ashoka! They also did major public works, repairs, and administrative reforms for South Indian temples.

The Brits inventoried everything so they could steal it more efficiently. Ask the Egyptians and Greeks and The Turks etc. Return The Koh I Noor which sits as one of the British Crown jewels stolen from a child ruler under duress 💎
@@nitinchalla782 Return everything to the the senior most family member of the original owner of all stolen property. If no such person exists then the property should be returned to the regional government and given on permanent loan to the most secure and relevant regional museum interested. The chief intention in the suggestion above is to return what was stolen. My definition of stolen in this case is anything removed from the possession of the original owner by threat, undue pressure or under blatant threat of violence or harm by persons holding office or authority from a foreign land ruling over any subjugated people colonized against there will.
The temple houses an 18 foot long statue of the main deity, Lord Padmanabhaswamy. I say 18 feet “long” instead of tall because the statue is supine/laying down. The necklace is to drape over statue as a garland.
Very good content. Thank you. The girl’s story telling is a little irritating. Pls tone down the drama….it reminds me of my cbse school story telling where more the drama, more the points. But it really irritated all of us. I hope you take this positively. Thank you.
Is all that wealth really safe? Given the corruption all over India, one should expect bits and pieces of all that treasure to make their way into pockets of corrupt officials.
It is safe in the temple, the Royal family don't let anyone to mess up with it , even they won't use it , cuz it is God's wealth. Even the Maharaja of Travancore have to dust his feet after visiting the temple , cuz even the soil in the temple is owned by the God himself.
I think Travancore were the best, they protected the wealth, and specially the religion and culture which I guess is getting wholeheartedly destroyed by Mallus😔
Been there yesterday. Truly peaceful spiritual experience. However the traditions are being disturbed by tourists trying to impose their normal (to them) practices here. Like ..shouting Ki Jai. Not done. Not here. Hope someone tells them. Here prayers are prayers. Not slogans.
I was with you until the end when you mentioned about 7 room which is closed using Sarpabandha method which is very scared and their must be a strong reason for it to be that way. Your words at the end were like very rude and disrespectful. Respect the ancient methode and stop looking for some propaganda.
6:19 didn’t the government tried to open it and they weren’t available too? Kekw Btw couldn’t they try open it by going on the walls or the back which could be on other side? Or use high technology tools?
There is ritual in Hinduism through it we can have conversation with deities and his question of whether vault should be opened or not ,and the temple deity asked not to open the vault ,and so do we devotees
They tried to open it with the other vaults but the locks were completely corroded so they had to postpone the counting and thats when the court order came and the process was halted entirely. There are interviews of one of the officials who went in to the vault and he clearly describes how it happened. People here loves conspiracy theories but a 5 min research can end this bs
I am an agnostic but I still believe some things are better left unknown. What if there are immensely valuable treasures and the curses are a metaphoric way of saying that evils such as avarice, and the lust for wealth will take upon the society and could lead to looting (evils could also be mental demons which are inherent in human beings). What if it breaks the peace and harmony in society. Present situation of India is already very fractious.
Even the same is true for Jagannatha temple, serpent gods remain guard the treasury vaults of lord Jagannath, under whose sole suzerainty lies Odisha. Lord Jagannath is the Supreme diety of Odisha for aeons and our Odia culture is pure Vaishnavaite, with some lord Shiva and Devi temples. We had trade relationships with South-east Asian countries, Persia and Ming China too. These wealth gets accumulated in the Jagannath temple, in the vaults which are used to adorn lord Jagannath everyday( only 2 are open, rest are closed due to mysterious deaths of trespassers).
Just shows the imported concepts like “secularism “ has no relevance in Bharath. It sets its own standards. After all Sanathana Dharma itself is a concept which is timeless 🕉🙏🏼
So why did she say vault B was never opened? The next screen showed that it had been opened multiple times between 1990 and 2002. This video was published in 2021
They didn't truly ruled Travancore and, in fact, most of current-day Kerala. Travancore was nominally a tributary of Vijayanagara for some times, and after them of the Madurai Nayaks, to which it gave some tributes. But it wasn't in the effective control of these kingdoms. Vijayanagara and Nayakates are more rooted into the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, not Kerala.

Thiruvuthakur royal family 🙏🙏🙏🙏
For more than 200 years hid the treasures from the British
And also protected the culture and religion, which I think all mallus are wholeheartedly willing to destroy
@@dnd-yd2uu oh Yes that too.
That is something I am concerned about, malayalis got 100% literacy, unfortunately along with that 500% arrogance. After getting education now they are willing to destroy our own culture, and be western copycats by consuming western secretions
Sit and cry about the Looted north indian temples.😊
Awesome
Thank you!
Thank God the British didnt know about it They would looted the treasures and kept it as part of their crown jewels or displayed it in their MUSEUM OF LOOT
In fac,t they repaired many South Indian temples and reformed temple administration. They re-discovered the Ajanta-Ellora temples.
If the treasure was in London you would be able to see it, learn from it, and know it was safe.
As a common person how are you benefiting from this treasure?
It is deeply touching that a King would, with great reverence and humility, apply himself as a caretaker or custodian in the name of God. Do the administrators use some part of the wealth for education, hospitals, etc. like Tirumala Tirupati devasthanam, in the name of God? I am not well versed about this temple, as I am with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Please let me know.
No, they don't use this wealth for any day-today activities ,for that Administration primarily depends on the donations.
Ofcourse its his gold, Sri padmanabha swamy, but why does he need it, he himself is nidhi, Sri nidhi, which means wealth ❤
Please answer these questions i have these questions in my mind since i heard about it.
its under travancore royal family, temple and wealth both. Travencore royal calls themselves to be 'Padhmanabha dasa'
Why is no one talking about the vault g,h which also have been open since centuries.
Vault b has been opened several times even after the order of supreme court.
Nope.. thats wrong info
@Santhosh Kumar it has been published and the inventory has also been taken . It is officially in the records of the padmanabhaswamy temple. It is true info.
Habibi come to puri today lord JAGANNATH ratnabhandar is opening, world record it will be. Jai jagannath 🙏
The Brits inventoried everything so they could steal it more efficiently. Ask the Egyptians and Greeks and The Turks etc. Return The Koh I Noor which sits as one of the British Crown jewels stolen from a child ruler under duress 💎
@@holyblaze2582 return to whom? to India or Afghanistan or Pakistan? the kingdom of the child ruler you are talking about was not in India.
It also contains the revenue of spice trade during that period.
Who or what would have any use for an 18 foot solid gold necklace?
For padmanabhasmy idol
If it has stayed there safe for so many centuries, pretty sure it will remain so with so much more scrutiny now.
Better than politicians control
Lol... I have my accountants watching them :p 🔱
World richest ❤
Natural living resource .
Travancore is not equal to kerala, please cite correct information. Details matter.
Padnamabhaswamy temple is owner of $40 billion golds and precious metals at the commercial Market value😮
No worries next we will open vault b
I was with you until the end when you mentioned about 7 room which is closed using Sarpabandha method which is very scared and their must be a strong reason for it to be that way. Your words at the end were like very rude and disrespectful. Respect the ancient methode and stop looking for some propaganda.
6:19 didn’t the government tried to open it and they weren’t available too? Kekw
Btw couldn’t they try open it by going on the walls or the back which could be on other side? Or use high technology tools?
There is ritual in Hinduism through it we can have conversation with deities and his question of whether vault should be opened or not ,and the temple deity asked not to open the vault ,and so do we devotees
@@kalburry0954 bruh u still believe this BS?
This video was published in 2021
The antechamber of Vault B has been opened but not the vault itself.
What happened to the treasures?
@funny man No, apparently not.
@funny man Just that the treasures have been removed by the government, except for the not opened door. Which I hope will stay closed. Did you see it?
No , i think the temple still has all the treasures
@funny man India
@funny man Kerala
Hence not mentioned of periods and control of Under Vijayanagara kingdom and Nayaka Dynasty C.E. 1400 to 1700 🙄🤔
They didn't truly ruled Travancore and, in fact, most of current-day Kerala.
As a matter of discussion Padmanabhan Swami sleeping idol is of Matura school and more resembles Buddha, long ears, beed like hair and hand posture.
Long 👂 is very common in old time

Thank you for the detailed video. I've seen a clip before this that make it look like your temple is curse. And that's just about it.
