    Seems like a good product, but is good enough for video editing with programs like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn't recommend it with the review model specs on this x360 440 for running video editing software. Generally for office usage.

      No don't buy it for video editing and stuff like that, i have the 16 gb ram and mx 130 variant and it really struggles in after effects. So please don't buy it for video editing .

      The screen brightness (nits / cdm2), contrast and srgb colour accuracy is bloody good on this screen though according to notebookcheck

    • @danieln3757
      @danieln3757 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MadfishFPV Yup. I was in Germany for the summer and managed to snatch the 400 nits, 99% srgb one, which was supposedly meant only for teachers & students exclusive to Germany. The screen is superb, especially for the price. Only weird thing is that, the 400 nits 99 srgb version only comes with the i5 8250u, Infrared Cam, 4G LTE, and no Dedicated GPU version.

    Which is better? Pavilion x360 or probook x360…

    • @Dovecomputers

      The ProBook has more security and work features. The Pavilion is the consumer version.

      @@Dovecomputers i understand. But if spend nearly 70000 taka (Bangladeshi currency)
      I can buy any of Hp pavilion x360 14-dh0089tx (win 10, 2gb graphics)
      Or
      Hp probook x360 440 g1 (free DOS, uhd 620)
      My real concern is actually about win 10 and free DOS. I am not very expert and I don't know much about free DOS. I am tensed about whether i will face problem regarding free DOS if i buy probook or not. If I can be sure that I will not have to face any big problem regarding free DOS or I can change it to win 10 very easily, I might obviously buy probook. Can please give me necessary suggestion/s?

    What is the largest capacity M.2 NVME drive that I can install on this model.
    Everything I have read says 512gb. I'd like to install a 1TB ssd but unsure if it will work.
    Crucial's website suggests that you can install an MX500 1TB but the drive installed is an SN520 2280.
    Confused is an understatement.
    Anyone able to shed some light on this for me?
    Thanks

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to find the information is out of date especially on older laptops that have been out. You should be fine to use a 1TB SSD.

    Well great review, but its true that you can't play games in it. Although mine one has got a NVIDIA 130MX, but still the fans starts as soon as the game is started and the whole body heats up in no time

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! These ProBooks are more for office usage and very casual gaming. Really need a laptop with a GTX or RTX GPU to play 'proper' gaming on. Looking at reviewing the HP Pavilion 15-ec with AMD 4600H and GTX1650 soon. 👍

    I tried to open the service hatch, but somehow the panel just flexes around the screw and stays closed. Is there a special trick to get it open? Nice and informative video by the way

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Didn't find any resistance getting into the service panel after un-screwing the one screw. The panel popped up slightly near the screw for me to lift it out. Could use a thin hard plastic edge to help it out maybe? Stupid question, the screw is fully out, right? The other trick we have here in the workshop is a suction pad, useful for the stubborn panels in some EliteBooks and ZBooks. - YL

    • @Dovecomputers

      On the review model, it has 8GB RAM which is fine for PS/LR/Office. Nowadays, Windows 10 needs a minimum of 8GB and an SSD to run smoothly.

      Probably not due to the CPU and display on the ProBook x360 used. Go for HP ZBook's instead.

    I had this laptop for a while, heres my honest review.
    do. not. buy. this.
    this is one of the worst laptops ive seen (price-value ratio), you can just buy an asus for 1/4-th of its price and yet its still better.
    it is horrible for office working, gaming, video editing, just everything in general. the screen can get damaged very easily, and the battery time gets horrible after 4-5 months of usage.
