Yeah it is but still undiscovered by many :) There is one car i like in ac much more and that is the old rsr Porsche. In Ams2 is a bit dissapointing but thats just me. Unfortunatley im managing 1 race per week last 2 months so its back to acc again. Lets hope in fall there will be more time to enjoy simracing and making more videos.
Iracing needs to do something with their graphics because games like ams 2 keep getting improved with each update meanwhile you still can’t drive in the rain on iracing
Iracing has outdated graphics but it can be run even on a slow pc/laptop. Also i know people who actually enjoy smooth graphics it offers. Rain is really something they should implement asap. What a fantastic job Kunos did with acc in that regard!
@@projecteighty8 acc is my favorite sim but I suck kurac on it 😂😂.. so I downloaded ams 2 the other day and had a lot of fun with mixed group race at Daytona against the AI
iRacing graphics are fine as they are set for optimal online competition. If you hop on AMS2 online, cars are sliding and popping around the track unrealistically.
the reason iracing rsr screams more is that it's a classic rear exhaust system (one muffler for flat-6) and 991.2 rsr is with side exhausts (one muffler for 3 cyl and other side muffler with other 3 cyl) so it's more gentle and ear-friendly, but not so classic sounds. actually they are not comparable at all - iracing is 2018 rsr and am2 is 2019 rsr which is almost a whole new car
Yeah just recently i found out its a new car watching really fantastic Road to Le Mans series season 3 with M Fasbender in a role of a porsche team driver.... Well im sorry if that spoils the video but I enjoyed making it with honest personal opinion. I plan to compare another car that might be interesting. Hope you like it then :) thanks for clearing it for us
@@projecteighty8 nevermind it's a great video. i just recently knew that am2 got rsr'19 so i started to search videos how it's in vr and such (i have am2 with nurb pack but the lack of my fav cars stopped me from playing) to compare it with recently released rsr'19 and '21 for assetto corsa. i believe am2 model was also made by urd as they did for ac
Only thing ive driven properly is Flat 6 mod with Porsche 911 cup it was great. There are other things i just dont like about rf2 but who knows maybe ill try some WEC mods
My feeling with AMS2 is that driving is a bit too easy.. When I go from ACC to AMS2 I always think I have stability control turned on or something. Apart from that these two are a great combination for me. ACC for competitive stuff and AMS for relaxing.
If AMS2 feels to easy because of how grippy the car is then that’s how it would feel IRL lol because that’s how a race car should feel as a posed to other sims like IRacing where they make it feel hard to drive and easy to lose it

Yeah the 2017 car had rear-mounted exhausts very close together and it was extremely loud. 2019 they went side-mounted (AMS2 version) and now for '21 they are back to rear-mounted by further apart.
Dan - the RSR GTE is purpose built mid-rear-engine that allows for a huge diffuser. The GT3 is a 991 based rear engine. It's not just the ABS that makes the difference. RSR GTE is 2x the price at least. ;)
I spent 500+ races and thousands of hours. Loved most of it. There is 150k of active members so there must be something right. In the end good thing is you get to choose
We all put value somewhere. I started out with Assetto Corsa, and loved it. The mods make it a beautiful sim to experience. As my confidence in racing increased, I started to place value away from graphical fidelity and more towards racing with other real players/racers. So I gave Iracing a try. Definitely not the best graphics, but let's be honest - we're spoiled in this area (not complaining)! It's not the best FFB either. But the racing is fantastic, and accessible. And available at any hour of the day! I swore I would only stick to the free content, but here I am 6 months later, having spent close to $200 on the Sim. It's been worth it, because im getting value out of it. Daily. So: one persons "crap" is 150 thousand other players' gem. We're all here to experience racing. I hope you're finding value in your Sim of choice! Cheers, friend. 🙏🙏
Well rsr gte in ams2 is maybe best what they created till now and IRacing has its very distinctive car behaviour physics which you love most or dont at all.
@@projecteighty8 I just don't find the rear sliding in iracing controllable even using irffb. Rfactor 2 and ams2 there is no problem. I also race in vr so ams2 is easily the nicest place to spend your time
