The best video on this Hyundai I have seen so far, well a detailed explanation. Thanks
Wow, thanks! Much appreciated!
Thanks Sir your great information, is this engine same as 2.7 kia
Thank you!
Not really as the 2.7 is a 6 cylinder
EXCELLENT instructions, thank you,I can actually understand what your saying!
You are welcome!
If you are having timing chain rattle, would you only change the timing chain or timing chain AND the oil pump chain??
Oil pump chain is not required if engine didn’t run low on oil. Make sure you replace chain tensioner
Piece of cake!
Yep, not that bad
So when you install the guide's and tensioner, that chain slack at top tightened without moving mark's on gears? And did you change the oil pump chain too? Nice video for under 6 minutes..
Thank you for the comment!, Yes the slack will come out when the engine is rotated and I did not replace the oil pump chain on this particular engine but it would be good practice if your not sure of the condition.
How come when i rotate the engine the lack on the top goes away but it goes to down the chain and i rotate again and it comes back up its that normal?
@JpAutoTV Yes, because there is no oil pressure to take up the slack yet.
Tnx
Thank you!
What are Torque specs with valve cover?
And the timing cover
Just look up your year and model online for shop manual, most times I don’t list critical torque specs because they vary widely sometimes.
