@@Braxynglet I wouldn't call quintessence doom metal but there is definitely some doom metal in it. And I can imagine this song influencing dsbm, so I don't think the genres are that off.
That's because opeth in their 90's albums were very influenced by balck metal, but it was from still life or even I would dare to say My arms your hearse where they were replacing those elements by more progressive metal elements.
borh genres are dope!!!! however the reggaeton one would be such a disappointment bc few people rate the songs there + those few people come from meme backgrounds. so the funny reggaeton songs would be on top, sadly (apart from one or two transcendental daddy yankee old songs)
I Troldskog Faren Vild is my favorite. Gorgeous black metal with folk elements, beautiful solos, calm mysterious vocals and not this boring and pretentious trash with corpspaint, although maybe I don't understand something. It sounds very authentic, you can feel this Scandinavian spirit.
@jameskpolk9137 I always thought of them as black core? If there ever was a thing, probably "sludge" but black gaze I tend to associate it with a more lush dreamy guitar driven sound a la Alcest / Sadness / or my favorite An autumn for crippled children although them would fit also on post-black against the Oathbreaker sound who for me is absolutely drum driven, hence the core.
@@Agostoic that’s totally fair I had never thought about it that deeply. I just associate black gaze primarily with Deafheaven and Sunbather in particular and Second Son of R is like Dreamhouse 2 to me
@@jameskpolk9137 wow, never would've think of Second son as Dreamhouse 2, that's an interesting one tho! If you like Oathbreaker, should check out Predatory void with some of the former members, Cheers.
Darkthrone being Doom/DSBM? Wtf? Its the most pure form of black metal from that era.
The genres in this video is insanely off. Its that what the site classifies them as?
@@Braxynglet users vote on primary/secondary genres. doom metal is specifically for that track
@ Then I guess the users have no clue at all on many of these. :P
@@Braxynglet I wouldn't call quintessence doom metal but there is definitely some doom metal in it. And I can imagine this song influencing dsbm, so I don't think the genres are that off.
@@olli.tiainen DSBM is mainly about the lyrics. Soundwise its still black metal. Theres not really a DSBM-sound.
Wtf? That no 1 spot was unexpected! 😂
Incredible song
@@jaellycookie Definitely not number 1.
@@faust8218 yeah I might not say so, never considered it to be bm myself but it kinda makes sense, but I do love the song very much
@@faust8218 i'd def put it at number 1 if it was a bit less repetitive.
Still an incredibly powerful song
That's why RYM can not be taken seriously
I love Opeth as much as the next guy, but wtf are they doing on this list?
That's because opeth in their 90's albums were very influenced by balck metal, but it was from still life or even I would dare to say My arms your hearse where they were replacing those elements by more progressive metal elements.
It would be fun a Top 50 song of Melodic Metalcore or Reggeaton, See the best of two hated genres, and see if the people who hate them are right.
borh genres are dope!!!! however the reggaeton one would be such a disappointment bc few people rate the songs there + those few people come from meme backgrounds. so the funny reggaeton songs would be on top, sadly (apart from one or two transcendental daddy yankee old songs)
I second this, specifically Melodic Metalcore
Wtf is melodic Metalcore
@@VarsityAthlete04idk but the only good melodic thing is melodeath
@@VarsityAthlete04 Metalcore but Melodic

lmao wasn't expecting gerogeri
just wanted to let you know I love your channel
this ranking is a joke lmao people do have bad taste, impressive
What makes you so special
Mathcore top please
Marduk, Watain, Satyricon ?
Mother North being left out is egregious, RYM users fumbled that
Yeah Mother North is epic…the whole album Nemesis Divina is amazing
"Mother North" "Decade of Therion" "Colossus"

You listen to blackgaze, don't you? (This is not an insult, Alcest is one of the best bands ever)
pls make a list for melodic death metal
No “sweet smile of vortex.” 0/10 list. (This is a joke btw I love these videos)
Windir is great band!
these are good thank you
Rotting Christ, 1349, Satyricon, Borknagar, Kampfar
It would be fun a top recent death metal albums
mother north - satyricon
Based top 5
Cool to see Oathbreaker although not BM at all.
Oathbreaker is like textbook black gaze

Espero que próximamente canciones de metal en general o de música canta al español
Oh sweet it finally happened
Death metal next pretty pls
alt metal soon please!!!
You should make a video about Ska sometime.
Chart without Grausamkeit 😮
Welt Aus Eis 🥺
Personally, number 8 would have been my number 1. But a good list nonetheless.
It can be serious without songs like: 'Mother north', 'From the pagan vastlands', 'A blaze in the northern sky', 'Nightwing' 😢
also Kathaarian Life Code
Disappointed, where are Cradle of filth, Odium, Blasphemy or Archgoat?
I'm also sad to see a lack of rotting christ , but it's op's personal favorites so
@@alexanderwalewski5166it's not, it's based on user ratings
Cradle of filth is mainstream piss
RYM is Posers World
Opeth?
Opeth? Lmao
no inno a satana 😔😔
Amo que mayhem no este cerca del podium
😂
Вау, что-то русское в топе
это так сказать база
Deafheaven WTF ? Rym is the right site of stupid posers
We've left the word 'poser' a decade ago in metalarchives.
The future is now, old man 🤘
Black gaze had to come from somewhere… now what could that be?
Honestly other than sadness and that bullshit anime one, this is pretty on point
dunkelheit is ass
very disappointed...
El peor top que vas a ver en tu vida
pues esta basando en oyentes no en opinión personal
Cuál es tu top 10?
This list is absolute bollocks and completely wrong
Stop with your lame black metal genre's. They sound gay af
