Where I am from bright colored line is super useful, not just about looks on the rod. Fast shallow water with lots of snags, if you can’t keep track of your line on the water it will be a rough day. Just saying has a use 😉
I just got my first noodle rod. 10ft medium light action . Using 5/1 spinning reel. I fish the Alleghney River for Walleye and tributary streams for Trout Also Steelies on Lake Erie shore and creeks. Any advise on tackle and bait for this combo would be appreciated. Thank you!!
I'm thinking if getting the 10'6 med power and slow action shimano clarus salmon steelhead casting rod .To fish for catfish, carp ,stripers and on the pier or surf when I got to coast again .I like to use thill 6/8 inch torpedo float.3/0 hooks.
Of course I'll have to use the drag more but the feel of the fight with long slower action rods is a riot .I prefer medium slower even on panfish trout rod also and bait catching setup as well .
I found and bought a new 10ft6 medium casting shimano convergence salmon steelhead casting rod . I'm going to use for striper float ..carp and catfish ..
@@VinTheFishingMan it tip top eye is tilted a tiny bit ..look like when fuji machined the frame where the insert goes at top is just a wee bit to right. Do u think it effect accuracy at all.It not sumthing I did ..
@@VinTheFishingMan when I used surf rods I never gripped to far down on handle cause it was to long and messed up my leverage.Im puting a but cap on eventually and it make handle a tad longer and I'll be able to not slip hand in rain or dew ..

That's a great choice, I live slow action rods

In my neck of the woods many people are getting custom rods made with salmon steelhead rod blanks .Like the rainshadow rx7 and mhx brand.
