- This is my very first box of Evolutions for pokemon XY. this set uses old frames and old art but gives all the pokemon new stats! There's a chance at pulling some really crazy cards here, including new EX's, new mega's, new full arts, and some old holo's as well including holo charizard :)
I just spent a little over half an hour watching a grown man opening Pokémon cards. I have zero regrets.

Surfing pikachu, flying pikachu, here comes team rocket and imakuni's doduo are the secret rares from this set, and yes they're more common then usual.

I've never played it or opened a pack but I truly love watching these unboxings. This set looks incredible.
So much nostalgia. My Dad made me collect these cards and trade with other kids to get me to socialize with other people and it worked. Now, as an adult, Pokemon has had a special meaning to me.

i pulled imakuni?'s doduo the other day and was so hapoy i finally got him after all these years (really wanted it as a child, it was just such a weird card)

You got a TON of secret rares, the non-holo ones, Team Rocket and Flying Pikachu and Surfing Pikachu's were all secret rares, this is easily the best Evolutions box I've seen anyone open on TH-cam so far. :P

I dont think that Trainer Card was called Prof Oaks Hint back in the day. I think it was just Prof Oak.I might be wrong.Also the artwork seems like he's not as close up.

You are right, it was just called Professor Oak and the artwork was zoomed in more. They have changed the zoom of the art on a lot of the evolutions cards.
The interest in collecting cards is long gone for me, but at the same time, I can't help but watch these only to feel the joy of opening these packs come right back to me. The scent of new cards, the quest of finding that one Arcanine (that I eventually found, not in foil though - Arcanine was my favourite pokemon) and the excitement of collecting foil cards you least expected.
Gosh I miss this, afterall. Now that they've been reprinted, I might just buy a pack or two just for the sake of feeling like a kid again haha.

Let's be clear here guys the "secret rare" cards in this set are quite common (probably why they are uncommon) so don't be too worried by the pikachu cards :D

Noemi Mercado you can buy a "crate", it's 6 boxes (36 booster packs in each box x6) for $550 online. Make sure you buy FACTORY SEALED boxes.....people like to weigh packs or use the algorithm to take the good packs and sell the commons.
There are 5 secret rares in this set: Flying Pikachu, Surfing Pikachu, Here Comes Team Rocket, Bilingual Exeggutor, and Imakuni's Doduo.

I fuckin' love you Boogie, your enthusiasm and passion for these TCG/CCG unboxings gets me hyped even though I don't play or collect them anymore. Also the nostalgia factor for this one was insane for me because the base set was THE craze when I was at secondary school and I spent a lot of pocket money on starter and booster packs. I especially remember every Saturday from about 13-15 I would get just enough pocket money to get the bus into town and back, and buy a single booster pack, and when Friday came I was so frickin' excited to get that pack in my hands so I could tear it open and cross my fingers for a foil charizard!

I want to actually see a tour of your cars collection now, with how many you've ope ed it must be a pretty sizable collection. also i echo a lot of other people,that box gave me mad nostalgia.
Went out and bought my first booster pack since early 3rd gen pokemon after watching this and letting the nostalgia flow lol. Stopped collecting cards when i was a teenager, so new cards added after over a decade!
Sadly didnt have the series unboxed in yhe vid, but i got a foil Typhlosion so i'm ecstatic lol (had cyndaquil and quilava in my old card binder from forever ago, finally have the final evolution after like 15 years! xD)
How do they account for STAB in the TCG? Always wondered that. Always collected the cards. Never played the TCG though. Still have first editions somewhere.

I was so happy I found out about this. I got one of those elite boxes, started with the Charizard one. First pack I opened I got 4 rares. About the 6th pack in I pulled a reverse holo charizard and right be hind it was the normal holo charizard we all love. Not sure if its common or not, but seeing both of those come from the same pack really hit me right in the feels. Will be buying more for nostalgic purposes. I hope they do this more.
