He said it was $10 at a garage sale from a guy who used to own a convienence store, but me, not knowing the worth of it then, threw away the packs and the wrapping, then badly damaging the box. I asked my dad a couple of years later if that guy had any more. My dad then replied: "Around 10 or 20 more." I guess I couldn't be mad at my dad for not knowing the value, but mad at myself not asking to go back to that garage sale.

funny thing is you will never see someone so happy to break open a new booster box, decide to only open 8 packs, and not pull even 1 holo. weird times.. error triangle is cool and all but it will never recreate the feeling of pulling a venasuar ect. $11,000? I remember asking my dad for any pokemon booster box for my birthday.. He then came with a base set booster box. He said it was $10 at a garage sale from a guy who used to own a convienence store, but me, not knowing the worth of it then, threw away the packs and the wrapping, then badly damaging the box.
I asked my dad a couple of years later if that guy had any more. My dad then replied: "Around 10 or 20 more." I guess I couldn't be mad at my dad for not knowing the value, but mad at myself not asking to go back to that garage sale.
