Hey man hope all is well. I found your TH-cam handle in a forum. My question is. Do we have to get a tax stamp for this weapon? I wouldn’t think so, because it’s technically not and AR not AR pistol nor shoots AR round’s. So in your knowledge. The extra ep9 is not SBR correct?
Correct it is considered a pistol

@@bdoc9244 Is the trigger pack all plastic or metal? Are the parts interchangeable with AR9 parts? Can the trigger be changed? Can the trigger spring be changed? How do you dissemble the lower? Another video could be on cleaning and lubrication. What are everyone's favorite addons?

I’ve got an issue with mine. My buffer tube stock is loose. Not the brace, the actual buffer cover moves from side to side about 2/3 millimeters. Just got this and not happy the stock has play in it. Can’t find a way to tighten it either...

Thanks for the hand guard info, one question, does the rail that you have your flashlight is mounted to, does that unscrew from the hand guard once the hand guard is removed from the weapon? I know Extar sells more of the accessory rails that can be added on, but I would like to know if I can do the complete opposite. Could I remove the bottom rail and have it be, or feel rounded like a traditional AR hand guard? I'm going to buy one of these, I'm just curious as to a few details, and since Extar never answers their phone, I'm asking you. LOL! Thanks!

@@bdoc9244 Thanks for the info, mine will be in at the end of the month, I'm just going to cover the bottom rail with a MAGPUL AFG-2, install MBUS sights, A SIG Romeo 5 and I have a Silencerco Omega 9K. It's all sitting here waiting to be installed. For $419.00, $20.00 shipping, and a $25.00 call in fee, I just couldn't find a good enough reason not to buy one...
@Bdoc92 Hey bro, I appreciate your Extar videos. I really enjoy mine, it's a lot of fun! I'm debating changing out the hand grip (pistol grip), but I thought I read somewhere that there were a couple screws that can fly out when removing it. Do you know if this is true and if so, how can I replace the hand grip without messing it up?

My Extar just came in today - I have the same linear compensator sitting right here - but haven’t taken the stock muzzle break off. It’s not coming off easily and I don’t want to torque it too much with the epoxy frame. Any secret to getting it off or just torque away??

Appreciate it Yeah not a lot of room at all but I did see one dude that cut that part back to fit some guard he put on ,that freedom ordnance muzzle is aluminum but I do like what u got IV seen them. Thanks
I could see something like that working. I guess it all depends on what you want to do. I think it would be easier for Extar to just make and extended handguard that you can switch out and extend a little longer so you can achieve that look easier.
Great Video! Simple and to point. Do you happen to know the size thread of Barrel nut? Or If it even has threading... Also what replacement Hand guard would work on this EP9?
i dont believe there is any aftermarket hand guard for this right now. Its threaded at ½-28
@@bdoc9244 I need the threading size of where the barrel conects to the top receiver. "Barrel Nut" which interlocks them together. The threading you gave me is for tip of barrel. That's already posted on Extra website.

How does the barrel come off ?
Do you have a video of taking the handguard off of a Extar Exp-556 mk2. It appears that you have to remove the brake. Any information of how to remove appreciated.

How did you get the AFG2 to fit on the rail? I ordered one and it's far too snug to slide on the rail
i have been seeing these cheap ones going around ment for airsoft. may have accidentally purchased one of those.

Very easy

I don't plan on getting them.
They are a pain to put on because you have to hold the interior nuts so you need to remove the handguard first (so you can hold the rearward interior nut) and the center nut is hard to hold from the front or the rear. Bdoc92 my mistake. I thought that there was a special trick to removing the guard. It pried off easily once I really tried
How did you get their muzzle brake off? I can’t get mine off for the life of me
I put it in a vice and used a wrench to twist off the Factory Muzzle i didne have an issue. If its on super tight i recommend spraying it with some solvent and if that doesnt work try heating it up a bit but wouldnt go crazy

vbsaltydog Cool, I think you have a great product and there is nothing aftermarket for the gun. I’m just not sure if I want to take the $70 leap on a new product yet.

Bdoc92 to switch it out to a SBA3? Just got mine today and been searching online. Found one with the guy putting on a castle nut to hold the brace but from the looks of it, it’s the early version of the EP9 where the collar on the back still had a screw to hold the buffer tube in place. The newer one doesn’t have a screw to remove that collar. Which version do you have? If it’s the new one, have you been able to take off the buffer tube?
Any chance of getting a video on how to get the brace to move or off?... I don't really want to take it off, just wanted it back an inch or two

Do you notice a difference with felt recoil using the KAW compensator vs the muzzle brake that came with the EP9? I have a Ruger PC9 Chassis 9mm (which does not have a buffer and spring). Once I installed a KAW compensator the felt recoil improve quite a bit. I bought the EP9 and should received possession of it by the 15th. th-cam.com/video/yKezPABKEmk/w-d-xo.html
i honestly couldn't tell much but that could go from person to person. In one of my videos i believe i did a side by side.
