Hi, I will travel to NT next month from Alice to Uluru. I heard all the road is tarmac, but I want to have a dusty road for deeper exploration. Can you tell me where is the dusty road in the video and it will take much more time for this trip ? Thanks
SHUNING ZHANG That's a great trip, exactly the one we made in this video :D The main road is tarmac all the way, however there are several side roads to visit along the route. I believe the one we did in this video was to Rainbow Valley. It's 20 km extra to get there (and same way back to the main road), but worth the extra drive for the rock formation and dirt road :) There are other detours like this but I haven't tried them and can't remember the names. Many also require 4WD, this one was fine with 2WD :)
Nice video! That drone went high at the end.. Uluru is 350 meters if i remember correctly? Drone at 400 then? Would be careful, there are heli's flying around there sometimes (tours).
Richard van Pukkem was actually from a drone, flown outside the no-drone zone :) There were helicopters in the distance but made sure to keep a safe distance and got the drone straight down when I saw a helicopter far away.
Jayden Lawson There's a no-drone sign as you walk toward uluru from the parking lot, so made sure not to use it inside the no-fly area. Had I been able to, flying closer would have been even cooler :)
thats not a drone mostly. nice try. drone means moving flying in sky view around stuff. it doesnt mean a pop video of sand views. i love being a grumpy critic on yt hahah sry
So Johan, have you got your fines yet from CASA ?? Flying over built up areas, over people, and clearly above 400 feet all breaches of the well defined rules of flying these things. Good luck defending yourself in court.....
So Michael, this video is over 2 years old. I admit I wasn't aware of the laws surrounding drones the way I am today. I'm curious, do you go around TH-cam looking for drone videos to comment about court proceedings on? I know there is a *ton* of videos with breaches a lot worse than this one, so you must keep yourself quite busy. If your purpose is to educate drone owners like myself there are much better ways to do that than to leave snarky comments on people's holiday videos. Good luck to you too!
Fabulous! Thank you for posting.
Awesome video thanks for sharing with us
Johan, what an image quality! Definitely one of the best footage I've seen recently! Earned my sub ;) (a fellow "filmmaker")
Beautiful didgeridoo sounds ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great cinematography!
Thanks 😀
nice. My great grandmother was Alice Springs from North Carolina not Australia. She is the reason Springs Mills textiles was born.
Well done, good editing!
Thanks 🙂
amazing landscape
very beautiful
Johan, just to check if there is any dirt road that requires 4WD, from Alice Springs to Uluru? thanks!
Hi! There are such roads as detours if you want to explore, but if you stick to the main road it's asphalt all the way 😊 So you don't need 4WD.
Good to know we are going in May thanks
Nice footage! Want to go there myself with my drone as well!
Really beautiful footage! Very vibrant colours! Wish I had a mate to go to Alice Springs with... OH WAIT!!! hahahah
+miki lalala Hahahaha xD

Very nice
Yes I cannot wait I’m heading up there in mid May for the climbing competition and myself and my dog and the caravan cheers 🍻 Amos
Ayres Rock is great. It is very pricey. Considering you can not climb it or get to close to it !
Actually, the rock itself is free to visit. Accommodation near it might not be 🤔😊
cool vid ☺☺

Have you had any issues since, with drones not being legal to fly at Uluru?
Jayden Lawson There's a no-drone sign as you walk toward uluru from the parking lot, so made sure not to use it inside the no-fly area. Had I been able to, flying closer would have been even cooler :)

Not sure what you mean. Most of this is filmed with a Phantom 3.
so aussie aborigines invented dubstep
i think they are a lot more intelligent than that,,
