I did so many runs of this game and didn't realize you needed to get the owl down there with you for the true ending. I just thought you needed to beat all knights (in multiple playthroughs).
So basically the timeline goes: Dig Specter of Tormet flashback King of Cards Specter of Torment up to the final boss Showdown Specter of Torment Final boss and ending Shovel of Hope/Plague of Shadows start Pocket Dungeon Shovel of Hope/Plague of Shadows ending
Ok so from the events of shovel knight and Spector of torment ,somehow shovel knight and shield knight get separated and a human Spector knight and his friend go looking for the amulet at the same time as shovel knight and shield knight, some how shovel knight doesn't find shield knight but Donovan and his friend do but she's guarding the amulet and during a struggle becomes the enchantress but during this entire story there's no mention of drill knight or his men anywhere,there's not even a slight cameo from either of them. Infact in Spector of torment you see how the enchantress charged Spector knight with finding knights to serve her and none of them from this game are in that game. If you wanted to make this a prequel to the first shovel knight they should have had some connection to Spector knight and his story since canonically Spector knight and his actions turned shield knight evil.
I think it still works as a prequel because all this shows is how the tower of fate appeared and why shovel knight and shield knight decided to claim the amulet. The Donovan and spectre knight storyline still works as they decide to explore the tower of fate because it has appeared from the ground, where they happen to meet shovel and shield knight on their way for the amulet. We don't see scrap knight as their with Chester (which is why there in pocket dungeon however) and the other new characters remain together underground (seemingly?). The only factor that dosent work is Drill Knight as we see him escape, but since he escaped he may be on the run and because he loses when powered up, maybe the enchantress did not see a use in him (looking at how she treats spectre in spectre of torment) Thats my best guess atleast
Step 1: Mushroom Mines - Find Altius (1:44) Step 2: Depth 2 - Jam The Drill Pod (8:59) Step 3: Depth 2 Extra - Make Your Sacrifices (Depthwide: chambers at 18:10, 23:17, 25:58) Step 4: Depth 3 - Unlock the Omega Driver (32:13) Step 5: Depth 3 Extra - Blow Open The Passage (39:39) Step 6: Drill Knight's Castle - Dismantle The Omega Saw (46:43 is where this task begins. You receive the Driver at the beginning, and must not lose it. Completes at 57:59)
@@alexbarbosa7046 Think of it like the true final stages in most games. Like Rainbow Palace in Bomberman 64, or Symphony of the Night's Inverted Castle. Fulfill the condition, and you get another level to go through. Since you can only choose one depth in a typical playthrough, I figured it was an analogy that fit.
Also, apparently you can just use three keys on the Triple-Lock and bypass the extension, but if you dismantle the saw without all the crystals, you get a different ending.
Nicely done! It seemed like you got a lot of gastrinomole spawns. Is that just luck, equipment based, or does he always spawn a certain number of times per area/biome? I rarely ever see him despite looking for secret rooms all the time.
19:29 Lucky! That room was a softlock before the patch where they added a block to help reach the exit. If you hadn't been able to bounce out of the room, you'd have been screwed!
@@MegaYoYo Yeah. Not sure how they missed that one but maybe they thought one background object was standable on or they tested with Plume and didn't realise. It was fixed in 1.1 I think. 1.1.3 (hotfix) is still glitchy but less so - worst problems are cogs being destroyed by spikes next to them from offscreen, mainly in first half. Smeltworks is worst offender. I had to do all Feats again due to my Steam problems which was annoying; Pocket Dungeon now syncs Feats for this reason - complaints that Feats don't sync and once earnt, you're locked out of the Steam achievement as it no longer checks. PD has its fair share of glitches too but it's in beta so under constant development.

@@Charlie.G506 I would like to see a 4 player platformer if possible. I know it's a lot to ask for. Maybe the enchantress escapes with the help of a magic based knight. The 4 playable knights could be shovel, shield, raz, and black.

Yea I think I got super lucky with his spawns. Lately I've been getting runs that have given me 7+ life points

Unfortunately I've been softlocked there before. The guy didn't spawn and I was unable to get out of there
