On banded sights I typically use epoxy. With the amount of surface area it's a very strong bond, and there's no risk of flux residue causing corrosion over time. I still use soft solder on quarter ribs and sight bases that aren't banded.
I built a 600 overkill shoots really good but kills so hard maybe I shouldn't have made it so light 😂but it's a good gun I'm in the process of molding my own shells to make a gun of my own design that shoots a round bigger than a 4-bore but in bolt action 2+1 Mauser base reload I'm going to call it the 99-08 thunder Express 3,345gr round a round made to stop a elephant or buffalo dead with one round no follow up shot needed still working out the kinks
It's still in the works but the shells and bullet itself is finished so it time to work on the parts for the 99-08 thunder Express and is going to way around 9 or 13 pounds which is nothing really I Carrie 200lb deer 5 miles every deer season so yeah

600 rimless has a little less recoil
Think they should be minimum 14 lb with 2 gracos in butt
