I agree with Sam sometimes it's better to leave things alone. Especially with a dead stick. I see a lot of people grab the dead stick when a fish is coming in and start moving the bait. The fish was interested already without the fisherman doing anything. Often sees this spooks them, obviously not always.

My favourite thing about your videos is knowing that they are filmed close(ish) to home, unlike the content from my favourite American TH-camrs. Can't wait for the restrictions to end in ON so that I can start fishing in places other than London and the surrounding area. I think a trip or two to LOTW with the kids is in order in the near future!

Frank's and fish goes together like peas and carrots. You should roll the fillets in Frank's then batter them and top it off with some club house garlic plus seasoning. Dumb and Dumber is a classic!

I used to love icefishing when I lived in Minnesota but once I moved back to South Dakota and discovered how to catch winter walleyes with big crankbaits I gave up icefishing completely! I cast in blizzards and negative windchill nights and catch the biggest fattest wallies I'm Jan and Feb! I am on FB if you wanna see

To keep rod from going in, if you put your dead stick on a pale or milk crate you can put a short bungee cord on it and tuck the back part of the handle under it. This will keep only being pulled down and less likely to be pulled forward and in. This also still allows it to be quickly retrieved to pull the fish up.

You crazy, crazy young person, you!! However, well done on the execution and my, but that Ice Castle certainly looks the business!!! You know, given my age, and I'm a widower with a few cats,...I could happily live in a place like that!! Just need to build a platform around it so it floats, maybe put a solar system, and generator on the roof, build a transom to attach a tiller outboard to move it from place to place,....man that's like my entire retirement dream, aside from hunting season,...details, details...

I've worked a 10 gotten off stayed up was asked to go ice fishing waited 6 hrs to go out finally went out for another 8ish didn't go to bed then went out the next morning and in total was awake for around 48 hrs. I've also done the same thing but gone to the river for salmon and steelhead and its way easier being able to move around then sit still. Its defiantly hard to do it by yourself and ice fishing without moving around to stay on a good bite is probably the hardest.

Man. We just fished an ice tournament and I was up for 35 hours before I even took a nap. 4 inches of ice a heater and a cot in the shack. We were absolutely beat. And I was on the ice again literally 12 hours later. Step up your game bro 😂. Just kidding. Was a good video. Can't wait to catch some big eyes through the ice this year.
