With mindfulness I’ve really been exploring why and when I become frustrated. It’s quite interesting. Our boundaries are really very arbitrary sometimes (or perhaps always?). Like, for example, part of me gets angry and starts to feel sorry for me if I cannot find parking… only after a certain point! But why, I start to be curious, does it feel like the “end of the world” after circling the block a certain number of times… and then suddenly I have the “excuse” or it seems suddenly reasonable to have my little tantrum? Looking back at my life how many times I have made a poor choice, become deeply sad or given up on something worthwhile having bumped into an entirely arbitrary boundary like that… which was only in the mind!
All those excuses, all those getting pulled in different directions, sudden reactions, are the games of mind. As soon as we start exploring them, they lose their power over us, at least partially... thank you for sharing your insights :)
