I think official Power Rangers toys have even less articulation nowadays if you can believe that. They're made to be cheap to produce and sell quick. They're not made for action displays
It always bugged me that the pink zord was so rigid, simple, and red. Now it's noticeable and makes the whole thing look much more impressive without compromising the classic, boxy design.
Yeah the terradactyl zord got a major upgrade with this toy, though it does mess with the scale from the show, the terradactyl was like the smallest of the zords. Edit: Just saw the end, the whole megazord got an upgrade because it never had wings in the show.

All the people who say that toys like that are for little kids don't understand the level of complexity that goes into making them. Think about it- you, as a toy designer, need to make a small toy that not only needs to be modeled after a famous mecha, that can combine with other mechas to make a bigger mecha, but you also need to make sure that each of the separate mechas can fold into a cube (or, in the case of the triceratops and the sabertooth tiger, combine together to form one whole cube). AND, you are also tasked with giving this mecha toy new, original gimmics as well. I salute to companies like Lucky Cat and 52Toys, who bring so much joy and awe to our transforming toys loving hearts!!😊😊

Except unlike Funko Pop I do not instantly lose my respect for someone who tells me they're obsessed with collecting these.
If you get this one you can combine it with the Minipla Dragonzord and Titanus into MegaDragonzord and Ultrazord (no Dragonzord battle mode, at least not without some custom changes). The Dragonzord holds himself pretty well on top of the Megazord and there's space to fit the extra weapon between the Megazord's shoulders and the Dragonzord's divided crotch in combined mode. In Ultrazord you need to remove the Pterodactyl chest to place the Titanus chest piece since they are incompatible and you risk paint chip on the Pterodactyl chest piece. You can balance Titanus chest piece and gloves but they aren't very secure, however you can use black strings on the chest and white ones on the gloves to hold them pretty securely. I also use the Pterodactyl chest piece to hold the two 3 barrel cannons in the front part of Titanus alongside the Mastodon head. The result is either a Megadragonzord or an Ultrazord that make the originals look like they barely have weapons.
It always annoys me when a Megazord toy has pegs for the Tyrannosaurus knees because that means the knee joint is going to be showing. Those were the connectors with the original toy. They're supposed to be going into the Saber-Toothed Tiger and Triceratops legs.
Absolutely not, I wish this kind of toy would have been made there too, but this kind of engineering was not a thing in the 90s, even so, as kids we wouldn't appreciate it the same as now.

Many of the "updated" megazords take the OG tiny pterodactyl that only forms the chest, and make it massively larger, to give the megazord some wings.

Not the most extravagant zord, but neat how it can be so condensed and turn into a nice finished product. They also look fine as individuals.

They barely made some touches to the original design, and it was left FRIKKIN AMAZIN. An already badass mech before, now even more badass!
