Mantra is defined as a cosmic energy produced from emotions, made either from the souls of mortals or from prayer. When Asura killed Chakravartin he also killed all living beings in the universe besides his daughter, he even killed himself. This is because Chakravartin controls the cycle of life and death, and he killed Chakravartin. tl;dr- Chakravartin’s not universal in destructive or creationary power, although he is important in terms of the universal hierarchy. From feats Chakravartin was more like high multi-solar to low galactic.
1. Asura did not kill himself with that last punch. It was the Death of Chakra Vartin that caused him to die as an after effect. 2. Comparing the size of the beam Chakra Vartin fires to his own body, and then to the earth, we can tell he is NOT bigger than a Galaxy. He is the one above all, he can warp reality and thus make galaxies that are much smaller than real ones. He is probably the size of Jupiter, or sun when comparing Asura's size when punching through his forehead. 3. Asura did NOT absorb the beam, and grow giant because of it. He was exposing the new core he got from the giant space fortress, which allows him to fully utilize his power, which grows stronger the angrier he gets. Asura the Destructor, is Asura unleashing his FULL power, reaching a state which Chakra Vartin would consider adequate to be called god level.

Honestly you should have read the lore of Asura's Wrath. Asura gains his power from his wrath because as long as his daughter suffers the more his wrath let's him grow in power at extreme rates. Also that large transformation of Asura was said be the size of the solar system in the lore. Use the mutiplers like Seth and Chuck do.

Something to note though regarding feats from the main game and especially with the first boss is iterally ALL of the other boss characters laugh at Wyzen, the first boss, saying he was an idiot for thinking size equals strength, which should logically imply that all of the other bosses are in fact more powerful. Minus the posing girl, the old guy, and flamboyant purple hair guy because their only real noteworthy "strength" is seemingly their commanding ability. Otherwise they've appeared to be pretty weak and all 3 die in kind of stupid ways. I think it's right to consider the bosses as getting progressively more powerful in the order they appear past the prologue, with the exception of girl, old guy, and purple hair. I'd rate the main bosses in strength easily as (4)Wyzen, (3)Yasha, (2)Augus, (1)Deus And obviously the "final form" of Vlitra as the strongest main game boss, seeing as how Asura needed a special power boost and Yasha had to help him beat it. Another thing you left out though is Asura's berserker form. He was obliterating the Seven Deities' entire fleet by himself, and even temporarily held back a fully charged laser from the Brahmastra, the weapon they planned to use to destroy Vlitra, and when it finally hit him, though the beam was diverted, he still survived. And the Golden Spider, the creator of Vlitra, was telling Asura that this "berserker" power of his could have saved the world. Not a bad powerscale, you just unfortunately left out a lot of details.
perhaps their commanding was their power and they meant it in a metaphorical sense? Perhaps it was power of the mind they spoke of and it's not something measurable or scaleable. Don't think you are wrong by the way, just think that objectively you would be forced to leave some of that stuff out as statements are like that
Wyzen achieved that form cause he absorbed a shitton of mantra power, everyone was pissed at him cause they were meant to be saving all that power for the Karma Fortress, he essentially absorbed years of collecting human souls worth of work to blow his load all at once at Asura only to lose anyway, thats why everyone laughed at him.
So dose that mean someone like obito uchiha would beat Asura considering he can A. use kamui to make it harder to get kinetic energy as easily B. use kamui to cut off Asura head or something. C . use his rinnegan to stealhis soul or something like that.

Didn't chakravartin once state that he had created the universe, also it it's worth mentioning that he could stop time in his creator form and the event horizon he created is it's own pocket dimension.

First, I really appreciate you making this video. Asura's Wrath is one of my favorite games of all time and Asura's one of my fave characters of all time. So, again, thanks. However, I'd like to point out one possible mistake and one definite mistake, unless I misunderstood you. The first mistake was when he took Chakravartin's attack at Gaea (Earth). I don't think he absorbed the guy's attack and used it to transform. Ya see, Asura draws his strength from Wrath/anger, just like the Hulk. However, unlike Hulk, by himself, being consumed with Wrath causes him to go berserk and slowly destroys his body. That's why he had the Mantra Reactor, the core of that weapon designed to be used against Vlitra, placed in his chest to be used as a container for all of his rage. ALL of that power came from him alone. He just needed a way to properly use it without destroying himself. As for destroying Chakravartin with the final punch (your second mistake), it didn't kill him. Chakravartin is the god of Asura's universe and the creator of Mantra, the wheel of life yada yada, so if he dies, so would Asura and basically everything else except Mithra, his daughter. That also adds more weight to his conviction of saving Mithra; he cares more about his daughter than himself and even the universe. So, yeah. You were basically spot on for everything else and, for a third time, thank you for the video. :)
ecchiCharmed Well said! However one thing: in one of the still cutscenes where Mithra speaks with Chakravartin, he states that if he dies, mantra dies with him. He goes on to say that this will remove demigod status from everyone on Gaea, rendering them mortal. Since Asura had already died (multiple times) his body was technically dead and the only thing animating him was his own wrath. That's why at the end he said "My wrath is finally... gone." Just something I thought I should point out. Certainly not trying to be a know-it-all or anything. Big fan of it too. Wish it would get a sequel.

Regardless of how awesome it was (even though it really was just a hell of a lot quicktimes) they won't make a sequel if they don't think they'll make money on it. He didn't absorb the energy blast, he attained that form because he was implanted with the mantra reactor of the Karma Foretress (the huge superweapon they were filling with human souls to take out that 7 headed snake thing) as well as his friend Yasha's mantra reactor. He doesn't absorb the energy blast, he blocks it from hitting the earth, meaning assuming he has both cores he can attain the form at will. Also that last punch didn't kill him, he died cause his life force was tied directly to the guy he just obliterated. He died cause he died, if Chakravartin had survived the blow Asura would have lived too and thrown another one.
Umm Just a Robot, I see where you're coming from, but Asura doesn't build up strength from Kinetic energy, he gets stronger the madder he is, like the Hulk Also he can also still obtain his Mantra Form as well so it's his power now Also the reason why people say his fight with Chakravartain was such a big deal was because he was actually Omnipotent, there is only one of him and he made all the Mantra himself to test the mortals and Gods. When he was basically throwing Stars and Galaxies at him, he was basically just playing around, but in his final form, we see he was able to basically oneshot Asura out of his Destruction form with A SINGLE FINGER TAP!!! Yet Asura still won due his Mantra of Wrath, the reason he died is because he was basically his creator and reason they all had mantra in the first place. So yeah person I feel like he's Galaxy Level until you piss him off hard enough then he's....Idek
He’s not omnipotent, him being called as such was only hyperbole (as an omnipotent being cannot be defeated). He also never threw galaxies at Asura, he did throw stars though. The galaxies behind Chakravartin, when comparing them to his size, were not even as big as the stars he threw. They were probably just products of his reality warping abilties- he created miniature galaxies.

I guess Omnipotent is kinda a wrong word, but he is still the Creator of that Universe as he created Mantra, the Gohma and his Realm is definitely Galaxy if not Universe size as he is not actually that size in space. We see him go from that Spider State to his "God" form and he was the same size as he was in his Realm that he created. Not to mention his Realm had several different Dimensions inside them. No, the core was already spent, Yasha gave an empty core so that Asura could fuel it with his wn wrath. At the time Asura's own core couldn´t sustain all his power, so he needed a new one to fight against the creator. In the cutscene Yasha states that the core HAD the power of 7 trillion souls worth of mantra, but then adds "Now that all the mantra has been used, it is powerless alone.". Although Yasha does give his remaining energy to jump start the core, but it wasn´t anything big to begin with.
His power has nothing to do with building kinetic energy, its literally as linear as mantra absorption. His affinity is, to no one's surprise, his rage. His link to mantra is too great that his body cannot handle it which is why he able to exceed his limits after absorbing the mantra reactor and was able to fight and kill Chakravartin. Before when his body has a limit, he could only use so much mantra or peak in short bursts every now and then (explains how a single punch exceeds the strength of 1000 punches before it) went over this limit during both his Berserker and Wrath forms.
Z1 Puncher 無限の拳 IMO he could be universal as well, especially considering he destroyed the dimension of naraka that Chak threw him in which was stated to be possibly infinite in size (kinda iffy but I believe it), also if Chakravartin really is the creator of the universe. Sweg Master Well lemme first say if it was Anime/Manga Jotaro versus Kenshiro in a "deathbattle" then I think Jotaro would win because using math (SP's fist wistood 60 Tons and didn't break) Now 60 Tons going at Light Speed is equal to that of a Meteor going at Light Speed. Which would do absurds amounts of Damage to the Earth definitely around as much as a country level feat. If Jotaro wanted to kill Kenshiro and vise versa than Jotaro could win with speed by stopping Time and going all out on Kenshiro's heart killing Kenshiro even if it won't work the 1st punch, he goes FTL+ theres a lot of punches he can throw in 3-5 seconds that will rack up making him give out. Over Heaven Jotaro Stomps him with overwriting reality powers, he could literally redirect the "omae wa mo Shindeiru" explosion into Kenshiro and kill him and so much more. Unless Kenshiro gets some element of surprise on Jotaro on a weak point then he won't stand much of a chance. Cause SP goes way faster than Kenshiro and will basically protect Jotaro at all corners and sides. Btw they totally jacked Muso Tensei, 1. It doesn't literally create clones its like Ultra Instinct 2. He's not intangible he can still get hit if he holds still as he was even scratched while in the form, even if he let himself get hit it still showed there is a possibility of him getting hit. Also I realised something to, while Kenshiro can unlock Soryu Tenra he's never rly shown to do it. The past Kenshiro (previous successor) could do it but not the well known main Kenshiro. Which leads me into saying how the Time Stop can counter Muso Tensei, Jotaro won't need to spam is long enough to get at Kenshiro since he would be wanting to kill him, meaning it would be nearing oneshot if he's aiming for his heart. If Jotaro didn't have any intentions to kill right off the bat then Kenshiro could possibly win. Otherwise Jotaro would win in most scenarios.

Chakravartin embodies the wheel of life which apply to the universe(s) since it too have its own birth and death. Since the cycle is eternal, it means he holds power over the infinite recreation of existence, which is commonly known as multiversal. He also holds everything in the palm of his hand, including the endless naraka and the universes, all in base. By scaling to him, Asura basically transcended some degrees of infinity thanks to his mantra even with a finite amount of it (trillions of souls more precisely), yet Chakravartin made the mantra itself, as in the law or concept, and should exist in infinite amount since the naraka is endless and this is where souls may go, and souls = mantra. Other than that, we see the brahmastra getting out of another dimension seemingly parallel the universe that, in the most likely scenario, was made either by Deus or someone weaker. Then you also have Vlitra who would have destroyed everything (the rest of existence, not the planet he's linked to duh) and is stated to have limitless power. So basically they were already in the universal range even before chakravartin.

The gigantic laser coming out of Vlitra after its 2nd awakening also indicate that it's targeting more than just the planet.

JAR just to clarify, the final DLC's were still part of the main game Crapcom chose to put them in last minute to make a quick buck out of us. And terms of neutral power scaling Asura is a most Multi-Galaxy level, this is my estimate on Asura in terms of power.

I know this is an old comment, but let me clarify. Cyberconnect wanted to make a sequel, but capcom didn't want to publish it because the game didn't sell well. But, Cyberconnect did not want the game they worked so hard on, with such care and love, that they released the DLC. I just wanted to clear it up since it is unfair to think that's the reason as to why this choice was made. Plus, the DLC is amazing and very cheap, as well as the game, so it's not that bad.

If I were to try and guess why God of War's power scaling is so lore based, it's probably for the sake of telling a more grounded and serious story. I mean, look at games like Bayonetta and Asura's wrath, where the feats are insane for sure, but they also get kinda silly when you see things like a planet sized sumo poking the protagonist or the protagonist punching god's soul across the solar system. Asura's wrath is more blatantly over the top, while God of War has the potential for much more impressive feats given context. I think it works, but that's just my subjective opinion

There are many characters larger than Chakravartin. Firstly, based on the size of the energy beam (a bit wider than Earth) and comparing that energy beam to Chakravartin, Chakravartin isn’t anywhere near galactic in size, he’s only maybe multi-star in size. The galaxies were miniature galaxies, he probably created them through reality warping. They definitely weren’t full-sized galaxies. Disregarding all that, there are many characters who are bigger than galaxies. Cosmic Armor Superman held Limbo in his hand (which is basically a small Multiverse), there are many omnipresent and nigh-omnipresent beings in fiction (for instance Infinite Zamasu, who spread across the Multiverse and began to breach another timeline), and Amitabha from Touhou Project is larger than trillions of universes.

Yes you definitely low-balled him considering the fact that he beat the creator of the entire universe I would say he is universal or multi universal level, if he was Galaxy level or multi Galaxy level he wouldn't have had enough in him to be God
What I think should be important to note is that is Asian and Indian lore all mixed up with sci fi. So the whole guy going giant is kinda normal and a reference to budah trapping son Wokong. Also the dlc ending is the true ending. As for "orochi" I don't Beleive it's infinite. "To defeat the planet you must have power greater then a god." Deus probably knew about god and everything else but couldn't say. There's alot to talk about in asuras wrath so I don't Beleive a 15 minutes video dose it any justice. I think because he is so fast he should be able to build up a lot of kinetic energy in one second but if he got about an hour of punches with that insane speed that strength would be multiverse busting. If he only has one second then as we know by how fast he is and how much damage a couple of punches can do, he should around solar system busting at minimum. Of course this is only if we give him His strongest transformation. Also, that one like at the bottom is totally not me liking my own comment.
Yes epic video been waiting for someone to put this up he's like the angry Saitama but I personally like him more. Able defeat the God of his universes creation. Nutty power Asura is beast in all forms same with All the gods in that series. The things just a robot probably didn't realize; 1) kinetic energy? The game itself is legit called Asura's Wrath. He used his anger, rage and 'Wrath' to beat his foes 2) asura's master skewered him with an sword that extended long enough to go straight through the entire earth and pop out at the other end. Imagine how painful it must've been to have the entire length of that sword push right through your body all the way to the hilt. That being said, i couls give it to the artifical person; it might be easier to measure his feats from a scientific standpoint with kinetic energy rather than the amount of rage one can power up with, but that can only get you so far. Just my thoughts, make of them as you will.
Well. Thats a pretty good explaination but i do disagree with tge first thing u said. "Asura is somewhat Naruto and Ichigo level". And here i what i think. Asura with no given power is goku(frieza saga) base from level. With the first time six hands hes a little above goku frist time super sayian level. So on but his final from in my OWN OPINION is way stronger than current goku in any form but weaker than whis. Or any other angels, weaker than a few forms of superman. Etc... OK, so, here's the thing. It has NEVER been stated that he builds up kinetic energy from his punches. How his powers ACTUALLY work is that he's basically a more unstable version of Hulk. The angrier he gets, the stronger he gets, but unlike with Hulk, Asura can't always handle all the power generated by his wrath. We see what happens when he reaches that breaking point whenever he goes into his Berserker and/or Wrath form. Wrath Asura is a version of Berserker Asura that'd started to break down after that massive surge of rage, losing the 4 extra thicc arms he gets, no longer glowing that reddish gold, and his body slowly but surely cracking under his own power. Anyway, that Mantra Reactor that he got from Yasha only really serves to make him more capable of handling his own power, and while he may have absorbed SOME of the laser beam, most of it was just face-tanked by him. Also, the final punch didn't kill him in and of itself. What killed him was that he was basically pure Mantra at that point, and without Chakravartin, Mantra can't be a thing, so Asura would've killed himself by killing Chakravartin even if he was only dishing out chip damage.
Man now you've got me wanting to play Asura's Wrath. I never got to play it but I really really want to play it. The dlc fights with Akuma and Ryu were really good too.
The problem is that JoJo's character's aren't that strong. Ultimate Kars is the strongest in the traditional sense and he is all that strong, more un-killable. The whole point of stands was so that Araki did not end up with the meaningless planet level space battles to keep things interesting. JoJo just has a low power level world, and it makes me sad that none of these types of channels don't really have a reason to talk about it.
I love this video you practically nail Asura and his scaling the only issue i have is how you acted to the planet that was bigger than several galaxies like people reacted to him “not breaking the entire sword” the amount of dense mass to keep a planet like that intact is insane and just punching through it is a feat in its own but aside from that i have no issues. 10:42 from my understanding his final form didn't come from the laser itself. the issue asura was experiencing during his fight with chakravarten the first time was that his rage which is his power source was exceeding what his body could handle breaking down his body in the process. so in the second episode yasha went to the ruins of the space fortress and pulled out the mantra reactor the generator for said fortress. and he installed it in asura so asura could have a generator large enough to contain the rage inside him culminating in the form we see here. and in the third episode he fought asura one final time to make sure the reactor was working inside asura so he could use it properly. so in the final episode with the mantra reactor working with asura he was able to unleash all of his anger and wrath to accumulate this form thanks to having a generator that can properly contain it. basically this is asura at max potential with a power source that can keep up with his ever evolving wrath towards the entity that kept him from his daughter and created his hardships.
Well Asura only gets his insane universe destroying powers from SPOILERS Yasha giving him the Mantra Reactor. If he doesn't have that within his chest then he can't do all of the feats he accomplishes in the Last Two DLC chapters.
Asura can’t destroy universes. He has been shown destroying stars before with ease, and via scaling he should be easily high multi-solar to low galactic, but still far from universal.
If anyone payed attention, Asura's power increases with rage or Wrath. That core during the beam was a all mantra core that gave Asura all access to use any mantra to use at his disposal. Reason Asura dued was because all mantra vanished which he is made of. The sword broke because Asura built up so much Wrath towards Augus to smash that sword. Asura can be milti large galaxy but Mantra needs to excist. So, unless its a natural energy in another reality like someone just feeling an emotion and its produced by living beings. Then things could get really destructive.

Asura didn't absorbed the beam, if anybody pays attention to what Yasha says on the chapter 13 and what Mithra says in chapter 21 when Asura goes berserk, they say that he has so much power that his body won't resist it and end up destroying himself. Now, we analyze what Yasha said when he arrived at the Karma Fortress, he said that the Mantra reactor that accumulated 7 trillion souls in that 12.5 K years, all of that power was gone, but it could work as a vessel to contain Asura's power. And Yasha just awakaned Asura in the scene that seemed he was giving him some power (the energy was only acting like a defibrilator in its own way). Then, in order to activate the Mantra Reactor, Asura needed to fight, and Yasha knowing that he will die any moment he fought him so he could get an idea of how to activate the reactor (i mean, all the other 7 mantra affinities with only his anger), with that being said, asura with only its wrath, powered up all 8 mantra affinities and transformed into a planet-size being. Now, when he fought Chakravartin in the first part, the stars, planets and mantra balls where at least 2 times the size of the earth. The only 2 things that were bigger was the giant planet and the giant red star, now, the planet wasn't galaxy-sized, when Chakravartin summoned the planet, we don't know how far it is from him, but when Asira went through it, we can meassure that it was at least a planet the size of our Sun (we don't need to explain the giant red star) Now, when he fought Chakravartin in Event Horizon... wait, who the fuck said that Asura builds up Kinetic energy? Even the game in every fight telks you, asura gets angrier and in consecuence (because it's his Mantra affinity) he gets stronger. With that known we can continue. His power supprased Chakravartin in his base form, so he needed to use his Creator form to fight him back. As long as the fight continues Asura grows angrier, even more when he saw that even with the power of the other 7 mantra affinities he did nothing to the creator, and grows angrier and angrier, until he focused all of that wrath in a single punch and do his iconic (well... not iconic, with this scene it only used this move 2 times)... his iconic Mantra Blast Punch and literally the body of the creator was craked (and in consecuence he was weaker) And here is where the best part beggins, an awesome hand to hand combat, as far as we know, chakravartin doesn't have an specific mantra affinity, so once he's out of fuel he can't easily recover, not like Asura that it's Mantra affinity makes for him pretty easy to build up power and recover, we need to remind that Asura has wrath mantra affinity, basically he just needs to get angry and angry to get power and keep going. Before he delivers the last hit to Chalravartin, Mithra tell us that if we kill him al the Mantra will be lost, witouth mantra our protagonist can't survive, but he only cared about Mithra's life so he killed him and dissapearing in the process.

Kristian Kember the "cosmic scale" as I call it which is the universal , multi galaxy style power rating scale is for lack of a better term retarded because it acts as if a characters abilities of great range and overall gerth are what make them favoring a characters ability to destroy part of the multiverse over actual single combat strength , characters like kratos and Asura have crazy feats in single combat especially asura whom defeated a creator deity (for comparison xeno in dragon ball is a creator deity and goku could never come close to him) this shows that Asura is easily above levels of character like goku in one on one combat he can't and shouldn't be judged by his feats of destroying cosmic bodies

He could catch up to 5D being and higher in minets through shear improvement (hell at the end of the game he's in base form...imagine if he just went berserker after killing chakravartin)

Mantra is defined as a cosmic energy produced from emotions, made either from the souls of mortals or from prayer. When Asura killed Chakravartin he also killed all living beings in the universe besides his daughter, he even killed himself. This is because Chakravartin controls the cycle of life and death, and he killed Chakravartin.
tl;dr- Chakravartin’s not universal in destructive or creationary power, although he is important in terms of the universal hierarchy. From feats Chakravartin was more like high multi-solar to low galactic.

He is the one above all, he can warp reality and thus make galaxies that are much smaller than real ones. He was exposing the new core he got from the giant space fortress, which allows him to fully utilize his power, which grows stronger the angrier he gets. Asura the Destructor, is Asura unleashing his FULL power, reaching a state which Chakra Vartin would consider adequate to be called god level.

Honestly you should have read the lore of Asura's Wrath. Asura gains his power from his wrath because as long as his daughter suffers the more his wrath let's him grow in power at extreme rates. Also that large transformation of Asura was said be the size of the solar system in the lore.

@@uncleshrek3614 I have never seen a versus battle backed up with actual solid evidence, nor have I seen one where all parties can come to a unanimous agreement. Everyone is too stubborn to admit that their favorite OP badass is weaker than they realize.
Something to note though regarding feats from the main game and especially with the first boss is iterally ALL of the other boss characters laugh at Wyzen, the first boss, saying he was an idiot for thinking size equals strength, which should logically imply that all of the other bosses are in fact more powerful. Minus the posing girl, the old guy, and flamboyant purple hair guy because their only real noteworthy "strength" is seemingly their commanding ability. Otherwise they've appeared to be pretty weak and all 3 die in kind of stupid ways.
I think it's right to consider the bosses as getting progressively more powerful in the order they appear past the prologue, with the exception of girl, old guy, and purple hair.
I'd rate the main bosses in strength easily as
(4)Wyzen, (3)Yasha, (2)Augus, (1)Deus
And obviously the "final form" of Vlitra as the strongest main game boss, seeing as how Asura needed a special power boost and Yasha had to help him beat it.
Another thing you left out though is Asura's berserker form. He was obliterating the Seven Deities' entire fleet by himself, and even temporarily held back a fully charged laser from the Brahmastra, the weapon they planned to use to destroy Vlitra, and when it finally hit him, though the beam was diverted, he still survived.
And the Golden Spider, the creator of Vlitra, was telling Asura that this "berserker" power of his could have saved the world.
Not a bad powerscale, you just unfortunately left out a lot of details.

First, I really appreciate you making this video. Asura's Wrath is one of my favorite games of all time and Asura's one of my fave characters of all time. So, again, thanks.
However, I'd like to point out one possible mistake and one definite mistake, unless I misunderstood you.
The first mistake was when he took Chakravartin's attack at Gaea (Earth). I don't think he absorbed the guy's attack and used it to transform. Ya see, Asura draws his strength from Wrath/anger, just like the Hulk. However, unlike Hulk, by himself, being consumed with Wrath causes him to go berserk and slowly destroys his body. That's why he had the Mantra Reactor, the core of that weapon designed to be used against Vlitra, placed in his chest to be used as a container for all of his rage. ALL of that power came from him alone. He just needed a way to properly use it without destroying himself.
As for destroying Chakravartin with the final punch (your second mistake), it didn't kill him. Chakravartin is the god of Asura's universe and the creator of Mantra, the wheel of life yada yada, so if he dies, so would Asura and basically everything else except Mithra, his daughter. That also adds more weight to his conviction of saving Mithra; he cares more about his daughter than himself and even the universe.
So, yeah. You were basically spot on for everything else and, for a third time, thank you for the video. :)
ecchiCharmed Well said! However one thing: in one of the still cutscenes where Mithra speaks with Chakravartin, he states that if he dies, mantra dies with him. He goes on to say that this will remove demigod status from everyone on Gaea, rendering them mortal. Since Asura had already died (multiple times) his body was technically dead and the only thing animating him was his own wrath. That's why at the end he said "My wrath is finally... gone."
Just something I thought I should point out. Certainly not trying to be a know-it-all or anything. Big fan of it too. Wish it would get a sequel.

He doesn't absorb the energy blast, he blocks it from hitting the earth, meaning assuming he has both cores he can attain the form at will.
Also that last punch didn't kill him, he died cause his life force was tied directly to the guy he just obliterated. He died cause he died, if Chakravartin had survived the blow Asura would have lived too and thrown another one.

Also the reason why people say his fight with Chakravartain was such a big deal was because he was actually Omnipotent, there is only one of him and he made all the Mantra himself to test the mortals and Gods. When he was basically throwing Stars and Galaxies at him, he was basically just playing around, but in his final form, we see he was able to basically oneshot Asura out of his Destruction form with A SINGLE FINGER TAP!!! Yet Asura still won due his Mantra of Wrath, the reason he died is because he was basically his creator and reason they all had mantra in the first place.

He’s not omnipotent, him being called as such was only hyperbole (as an omnipotent being cannot be defeated). He also never threw galaxies at Asura, he did throw stars though. The galaxies behind Chakravartin, when comparing them to his size, were not even as big as the stars he threw. They were probably just products of his reality warping abilties- he created miniature galaxies.

No, the core was already spent, Yasha gave an empty core so that Asura could fuel it with his wn wrath. At the time Asura's own core couldn´t sustain all his power, so he needed a new one to fight against the creator. In the cutscene Yasha states that the core HAD the power of 7 trillion souls worth of mantra, but then adds "Now that all the mantra has been used, it is powerless alone.". Although Yasha does give his remaining energy to jump start the core, but it wasn´t anything big to begin with.
His power has nothing to do with building kinetic energy, its literally as linear as mantra absorption. His affinity is, to no one's surprise, his rage. His link to mantra is too great that his body cannot handle it which is why he able to exceed his limits after absorbing the mantra reactor and was able to fight and kill Chakravartin. Before when his body has a limit, he could only use so much mantra or peak in short bursts every now and then (explains how a single punch exceeds the strength of 1000 punches before it) went over this limit during both his Berserker and Wrath forms.

Which would do absurds amounts of Damage to the Earth definitely around as much as a country level feat. If Jotaro wanted to kill Kenshiro and vise versa than Jotaro could win with speed by stopping Time and going all out on Kenshiro's heart killing Kenshiro even if it won't work the 1st punch, he goes FTL+ theres a lot of punches he can throw in 3-5 seconds that will rack up making him give out.
Over Heaven Jotaro Stomps him with overwriting reality powers, he could literally redirect the "omae wa mo Shindeiru" explosion into Kenshiro and kill him and so much more.

Which leads me into saying how the Time Stop can counter Muso Tensei, Jotaro won't need to spam is long enough to get at Kenshiro since he would be wanting to kill him, meaning it would be nearing oneshot if he's aiming for his heart.
If Jotaro didn't have any intentions to kill right off the bat then Kenshiro could possibly win. Otherwise Jotaro would win in most scenarios.

He also holds everything in the palm of his hand, including the endless naraka and the universes, all in base. By scaling to him, Asura basically transcended some degrees of infinity thanks to his mantra even with a finite amount of it (trillions of souls more precisely), yet Chakravartin made the mantra itself, as in the law or concept, and should exist in infinite amount since the naraka is endless and this is where souls may go, and souls = mantra.
Other than that, we see the brahmastra getting out of another dimension seemingly parallel the universe that, in the most likely scenario, was made either by Deus or someone weaker.
Then you also have Vlitra who would have destroyed everything (the rest of existence, not the planet he's linked to duh) and is stated to have limitless power.
So basically they were already in the universal range even before chakravartin.

I know this is an old comment, but let me clarify. Cyberconnect wanted to make a sequel, but capcom didn't want to publish it because the game didn't sell well. But, Cyberconnect did not want the game they worked so hard on, with such care and love, that they released the DLC. I just wanted to clear it up since it is unfair to think that's the reason as to why this choice was made. Plus, the DLC is amazing and very cheap, as well as the game, so it's not that bad.

If I were to try and guess why God of War's power scaling is so lore based, it's probably for the sake of telling a more grounded and serious story. I mean, look at games like Bayonetta and Asura's wrath, where the feats are insane for sure, but they also get kinda silly when you see things like a planet sized sumo poking the protagonist or the protagonist punching god's soul across the solar system. Asura's wrath is more blatantly over the top, while God of War has the potential for much more impressive feats given context. I think it works, but that's just my subjective opinion

There are many characters larger than Chakravartin. Firstly, based on the size of the energy beam (a bit wider than Earth) and comparing that energy beam to Chakravartin, Chakravartin isn’t anywhere near galactic in size, he’s only maybe multi-star in size. The galaxies were miniature galaxies, he probably created them through reality warping. They definitely weren’t full-sized galaxies.
Disregarding all that, there are many characters who are bigger than galaxies. Cosmic Armor Superman held Limbo in his hand (which is basically a small Multiverse), there are many omnipresent and nigh-omnipresent beings in fiction (for instance Infinite Zamasu, who spread across the Multiverse and began to breach another timeline), and Amitabha from Touhou Project is larger than trillions of universes.

What I think should be important to note is that is Asian and Indian lore all mixed up with sci fi. So the whole guy going giant is kinda normal and a reference to budah trapping son Wokong. I think because he is so fast he should be able to build up a lot of kinetic energy in one second but if he got about an hour of punches with that insane speed that strength would be multiverse busting. If he only has one second then as we know by how fast he is and how much damage a couple of punches can do, he should around solar system busting at minimum. Of course this is only if we give him His strongest transformation.

Yes epic video been waiting for someone to put this up he's like the angry Saitama but I personally like him more. Able defeat the God of his universes creation. Nutty power Asura is beast in all forms same with All the gods in that series. Feel they and Bleach characters get way under estimated and like many other series the Manga form is even more intense then the anime. Or non canon stories/games like Dragon ball heroes savage beast Bardock lol

The things just a robot probably didn't realize;
1) kinetic energy? The game itself is legit called Asura's Wrath. He used his anger, rage and 'Wrath' to beat his foes
2) asura's master skewered him with an sword that extended long enough to go straight through the entire earth and pop out at the other end. Imagine how painful it must've been to have the entire length of that sword push right through your body all the way to the hilt.
That being said, i couls give it to the artifical person; it might be easier to measure his feats from a scientific standpoint with kinetic energy rather than the amount of rage one can power up with, but that can only get you so far. Just my thoughts, make of them as you will.
Well. Thats a pretty good explaination but i do disagree with tge first thing u said. "Asura is somewhat Naruto and Ichigo level". And here i what i think.
Asura with no given power is goku(frieza saga) base from level.
With the first time six hands hes a little above goku frist time super sayian level.
So on but his final from in my OWN OPINION is way stronger than current goku in any form but weaker than whis. Or any other angels, weaker than a few forms of superman. Etc... And i did also disagree with a few other things u said.

You actually have to look in the lore of the game and understand it a bit more. He is far above that
OK, so, here's the thing. It has NEVER been stated that he builds up kinetic energy from his punches. How his powers ACTUALLY work is that he's basically a more unstable version of Hulk. The angrier he gets, the stronger he gets, but unlike with Hulk, Asura can't always handle all the power generated by his wrath. We see what happens when he reaches that breaking point whenever he goes into his Berserker and/or Wrath form. Wrath Asura is a version of Berserker Asura that'd started to break down after that massive surge of rage, losing the 4 extra thicc arms he gets, no longer glowing that reddish gold, and his body slowly but surely cracking under his own power. Anyway, that Mantra Reactor that he got from Yasha only really serves to make him more capable of handling his own power, and while he may have absorbed SOME of the laser beam, most of it was just face-tanked by him.
Also, the final punch didn't kill him in and of itself. What killed him was that he was basically pure Mantra at that point, and without Chakravartin, Mantra can't be a thing, so Asura would've killed himself by killing Chakravartin even if he was only dishing out chip damage.

Man now you've got me wanting to play Asura's Wrath. I never got to play it but I really really want to play it. The dlc fights with Akuma and Ryu were really good too.

The problem is that JoJo's character's aren't that strong. Ultimate Kars is the strongest in the traditional sense and he is all that strong, more un-killable. The whole point of stands was so that Araki did not end up with the meaningless planet level space battles to keep things interesting. JoJo just has a low power level world, and it makes me sad that none of these types of channels don't really have a reason to talk about it.

I love this video you practically nail Asura and his scaling the only issue i have is how you acted to the planet that was bigger than several galaxies like people reacted to him “not breaking the entire sword” the amount of dense mass to keep a planet like that intact is insane and just punching through it is a feat in its own but aside from that i have no issues. 10:42 from my understanding his final form didn't come from the laser itself. the issue asura was experiencing during his fight with chakravarten the first time was that his rage which is his power source was exceeding what his body could handle breaking down his body in the process. so in the second episode yasha went to the ruins of the space fortress and pulled out the mantra reactor the generator for said fortress. and he installed it in asura so asura could have a generator large enough to contain the rage inside him culminating in the form we see here. and in the third episode he fought asura one final time to make sure the reactor was working inside asura so he could use it properly. so in the final episode with the mantra reactor working with asura he was able to unleash all of his anger and wrath to accumulate this form thanks to having a generator that can properly contain it.
basically this is asura at max potential with a power source that can keep up with his ever evolving wrath towards the entity that kept him from his daughter and created his hardships.

Yasha giving him the Mantra Reactor. If he doesn't have that within his chest then he can't do all of the feats he accomplishes in the Last Two DLC chapters.
Asura can’t destroy universes. He has been shown destroying stars before with ease, and via scaling he should be easily high multi-solar to low galactic, but still far from universal.

If anyone payed attention, Asura's power increases with rage or Wrath. That core during the beam was a all mantra core that gave Asura all access to use any mantra to use at his disposal. Reason Asura dued was because all mantra vanished which he is made of. The sword broke because Asura built up so much Wrath towards Augus to smash that sword. Asura can be milti large galaxy but Mantra needs to excist. So, unless its a natural energy in another reality like someone just feeling an emotion and its produced by living beings. Then things could get really destructive.

Anyway, Asura...I doubt he is multi-galaxy level. I'd say he is small galaxy level since he drilled through a planet that is BIGGER than the galaxies orbiting Chakravartin.

Asura didn't absorbed the beam, if anybody pays attention to what Yasha says on the chapter 13 and what Mithra says in chapter 21 when Asura goes berserk, they say that he has so much power that his body won't resist it and end up destroying himself. Now, we analyze what Yasha said when he arrived at the Karma Fortress, he said that the Mantra reactor that accumulated 7 trillion souls in that 12.5 K years, all of that power was gone, but it could work as a vessel to contain Asura's power. And Yasha just awakaned Asura in the scene that seemed he was giving him some power (the energy was only acting like a defibrilator in its own way). Then, in order to activate the Mantra Reactor, Asura needed to fight, and Yasha knowing that he will die any moment he fought him so he could get an idea of how to activate the reactor (i mean, all the other 7 mantra affinities with only his anger), with that being said, asura with only its wrath, powered up all 8 mantra affinities and transformed into a planet-size being.
Now, when he fought Chakravartin in the first part, the stars, planets and mantra balls where at least 2 times the size of the earth. The only 2 things that were bigger was the giant planet and the giant red star, now, the planet wasn't galaxy-sized, when Chakravartin summoned the planet, we don't know how far it is from him, but when Asira went through it, we can meassure that it was at least a planet the size of our Sun (we don't need to explain the giant red star)
Now, when he fought Chakravartin in Event Horizon... wait, who the fuck said that Asura builds up Kinetic energy? Even the game in every fight telks you, asura gets angrier and in consecuence (because it's his Mantra affinity) he gets stronger. With that known we can continue.
His power supprased Chakravartin in his base form, so he needed to use his Creator form to fight him back.
As long as the fight continues Asura grows angrier, even more when he saw that even with the power of the other 7 mantra affinities he did nothing to the creator, and grows angrier and angrier, until he focused all of that wrath in a single punch and do his iconic (well... not iconic, with this scene it only used this move 2 times)... his iconic Mantra Blast Punch and literally the body of the creator was craked (and in consecuence he was weaker)
And here is where the best part beggins, an awesome hand to hand combat, as far as we know, chakravartin doesn't have an specific mantra affinity, so once he's out of fuel he can't easily recover, not like Asura that it's Mantra affinity makes for him pretty easy to build up power and recover, we need to remind that Asura has wrath mantra affinity, basically he just needs to get angry and angry to get power and keep going.
Before he delivers the last hit to Chalravartin, Mithra tell us that if we kill him al the Mantra will be lost, witouth mantra our protagonist can't survive, but he only cared about Mithra's life so he killed him and dissapearing in the process.

argus states "wyzen and ... rely too much on mantra" later followed by yasha saying "the only person argus drew his sword on is you lord deus, it asura really that strong". Here is prof that argus is casually above wyzen even in his planet+ size form. Which you also messed up.
If at wall size wyzen was mountain level. Then at planet size he would scale up to large planet to dwarf star level (you were fallacious on lets say 'judging a book by it's cover').
you said Asura can one punch a sword that is little over 100,000tonnes not only are you assuming mass=attack potency you litterly showed a clip where it visibly effects a country + size of land (eg downplay of 100,000,000,000,000 tonnes of TNT)
Also wile I'm at it lets prove you never actually play/watch a full playthrough. Yasha beats asura's wrath (or suppressed berserker) form which is shown to be above his 6 arms and mantra form. Yet with 3 arms he matches deus in their first boss fight while yasha in the dlc/cutsene was being dominated.

Kristian Kember the "cosmic scale" as I call it which is the universal , multi galaxy style power rating scale is for lack of a better term retarded because it acts as if a characters abilities of great range and overall gerth are what make them favoring a characters ability to destroy part of the multiverse over actual single combat strength , characters like kratos and Asura have crazy feats in single combat especially asura whom defeated a creator deity (for comparison xeno in dragon ball is a creator deity and goku could never come close to him) this shows that Asura is easily above levels of character like goku in one on one combat he can't and shouldn't be judged by his feats of destroying cosmic bodies
not all creator are equal. Zeno is (without a dout) more powerful than chakravartin. True creators like marvel one above all can erase entire verses like dragon ball or asrua's wrath.
I know what you mean and your mostly correct but what you seemingly missed out the main thing about asura which is actually that his power is so high chakravartin punches literally bounce back hurting himself and asura went from multi-galaxy to 4D++++ is less than an hour. He could catch up to 5D being and higher in minets through shear improvement (hell at the end of the game he's in base form...imagine if he just went berserker after killing chakravartin)
