Interesting that you say use mostly bed tracks and only a few select object tracks because I do it the other way around and use no bed tracks other than for reverb. I’ll have to try it your way. Do you still pan wide, behind you etc in the bed track?
I actually use an object bed (fixed locations) and keep "free objects" (as I call them) for special purposes . . . bed takes effects and LFE, usually . . .
@@thelivingroomstudiosI’ll have to look up in google what an object bed even is. I know what a bed track is and what an object track is but not an object bed. In another note while logic 11.1 has fixed the timing issues when using atmos and also the cpu issues it appears to have created a new issue which is if you try your master in the same atmos project you’re working in you get loads of horrible distortion once you add a limiter. It really messes up the sound to the point where I’m now going to stick with stereo unless a label specifically ask for an atmos master. When I really analyse binaural mixdowns vs stereo mixdowns in now starting to think that the atmos fold down to stereo messes with the sound too much. If I want a wide stereo mix I can just use stereo widening plugins on pads, pianos etc.
