I want you to know something Lady Mary Beth…I am 56 yrs old and I wish that I would have taken time to learn and appreciate all these beautiful things when I was young. I didn’t even realize how amazing tableware could be. (The closest thing I ever knew about was a few pieces of Lusterware my Mom had). I am slowly collecting kinds and colors of different pieces that I see while out thrifting that I love and can afford and I actually squealed out loud when I found a Waterford crystal candle holder at Goodwill😀. I have 2 young grandchildren now and I am hope I can help them appreciate such beauty and quality! Between you and the My Take On Home and Garden channel I am hopeful that I will use and adore these pieces I find for the rest of my days and that my grandchildren will as well. Thank you for all you do!!
I attended the glass show on Saturday and just loved it! So much beauty and craftsmanship to admire! It’s such a nice opportunity to increase our knowledge and appreciation of bygone days.
Absolutely stunning collections of glass and I really enjoyed learning more information from Max about his gorgeous pieces he is so knowledgeable. I inherited my moms Franciscan Desert Rose dishes and I love the pink and green together on my table. I'm drooling over all the UG glass too, I ordered blacklights to go in mom's cabinet to show off my collection. Thanks for taking us along to the glass show. 😊
This February was our first time as vendors at the Houston Glass show. Hope to see you in August! There were amazing pieces & fabulous finds here. GREAT SHOW😊
It’s always a treat to tag along with you to this glass show. My husband and I have downsized and sold most of our antiques. I know they went to people who love them so I’m okay with that. That said, we aren’t buying anything unless we LOVE it and will use it. And that’s why I just love accompanying you on your adventures! It gives me such joy to hear the history and stories. Thank you for taking us along again this week!
Max Miller recently acquired the chrome collection from a dealer. He is full of surprises. I told him about my Foval/Fry glass finds from MAM Resale last year. You should have seen the look on his face. He was crushed that he missed out on this. I offered it to him for what I paid, which was a deal for this hard to find glass.
Hi Lady Mary Beth, watching you today from Canada. Wow! Enjoyed today’s episode thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and energy educating us on mixing old new to create fun beautiful table top ideas . My favourite past time on weekends is watching your channel before I hit thrifts store and antique I’m now an educated shopper. ❤️❤️❤️ from Canada
@@LadyMaryBeth probably ! So busy to try to get there ...then I like to be able to buy something too ! Lol ! Big Collector ...Big prices....still so good to see yes
Lady Mary Beth thank you for sharing all this wonderful glassware. So interesting to actually see useful and decorative glass from the past. This episode was like a visit to a museum but better because it had your commentary. Thank you!
I have really been looking forward to this video! So many unique and beautiful items! I would love to be able to go to the Houston Glass show - it would be a dream come true for me (like a kid in a candy store). Ed Sawicki had so many beautiful items on his table. And the table with the wonderful American Brilliant Cut glass - I would have bought that $245 pitcher in a heartbeat! And those Heisey candlesticks too! I love crystal candlesticks with prisms (I have 3 pair so far and my husband would say I don't need anymore, lol, and he'd probably be right). Those Fostoria candelabras for $975 are exquisite!! Thank you so much Lady Mary Beth for taking us along on your visit to the Houston Glass Show! I hope you'll share with us if you bought anything....?
I have a ton of Culver valencia! I love it. I remember my grandparents having it. I have some of theirs and just scored a ton from someone who did not want his mother's set!!!
Dazzling! The first glass I began collecting back in the 1970s was depression glass - pink Mayfair and Cherry Blossom and green Colonial Block. I've been contemplating getting rid of it because my interest waned but your suggestions and illustrations of how it compliments china in a table setting has me re-thinking that. Great video. Thanks!
The glass show videos are always my favorite! Thanks for another one! Next time please show some pickle castors and lamps if possible. Would love to see a closer look at all those patterns and prices! Thank you!!
What an incredible video!!! So many yummy and new things and so much information! Thanks for making such high quality videos Your camera person is very good!
Thank you for show casing this Depression glass event. Next best thing to being there is having you give us a personal tour. Depression glass has always been a part of my life. I have a vintage cranberry tumble up for our guest bedroom. There is no comparison to the fine quality of antique glass in todays retail.
Thank you for showing us around the show. I learnt so much, and admired so many pieces. What a wonderful event. I never see glass like this here in New Zealand. ❤️
I loved this vidoe, being Australian we only see a very small amount of glass, you have opened my eyes to a whole new world, thankyou so much. I now look at glass in when I op shop. With just a bit more knowledge. From bush in country Victoria.
This is a fabulous video. I learned so much. It's amazing the glass has survived so many years. The Fostoria Wisteria was my favorite display along with the wonderful candelabra pairs that came apart. Thank you for bringing us along on a historical tour of beautiful glass. You definitely have a keen eye for color.
Oh gosh! You gave me so much to think about. It definitely adds definition to the glass that I inherited from my mom to the few pieces that I have purchased at thrift shops. Thank you so much for your videos.
That was lush!! I am coveting many of those pieces especially the Alexandrite set with the almond bowl..Thank you for the tour, educational and exquisite!💎🌟
Beautiful!!! I'm smarter today than I was yesterday about glass. Thanks for all the new info! Wondering if you will be showing us your Waterford chandelier once you've hung it in your home. S.
Waiting all day. Have not watched it yet but I know I will love it all ❤. It's late in the Netherlands but I'm going to watch this and sleep very well. Thank you Mary Beth ❤
You make me love fine crystal so much more! My children don’t get it! I’ve inherited so much and they don’t want it!! I keep looking , shopping and buying! 😃
I’m sorry to admit that my mom had many pieces of that ruffled opalescent glass in her china cabinet that just disappeared with an unscrupulous estate agent. Mom came down with dementia quite suddenly and it was a rush to clear out her condo, with none of us kids living in the same town. Even though we may have admired various pieces over the years and mom would say they were valuable, in that circumstance there was so much hitting us with an aggressive timeline. It was as much as we could do just to get the condo cleared out for closing. To research china cabinet items was the last thing on our minds. I’d like to urge everyone with valuable collections to know who the piece is going to (who you think wants the piece may not be accurate) and put their name in writing on the object. We were all too well brought up to start claiming items early. It wouldn’t hurt to include a FMV on the item with a date. If you can’t assist in the disposition for some reason, then at least your kids will know if the piece is valuable and less likely to be taken.
I started collecting Majolica and was wondering if you can recommend an antique store that has a large inventory and willing to ship to Michigan. I re-watched your videos and came across a video 4 months ago featuring Nothing Ordinary in Bellville Texas. They have reasonable prices so I will call them this week to see if they have the pieces I'm looking for. Is there another store that you can recommend? l look forward to your videos for your knowledge on a variety of areas. Thank you Anita
Anita, your best bet is Nothing Ordinary in Bellville, Texas. Nancy is the owner. They have a huge Majolica collection. Rummel Creek Antiques in Houston on Memorial Drive has a dealer in the back room with some Majolica pieces.
No Corningware cookware. Mid-Century glass is the newest allowed at the show. You might be referring to their Steuben Art glass. Was most likely offered by one of the dealers. Lots yet to be discovered at the sale.
Ok, you have got to change at the beginning of your videos the bell sound which sounds like the bell they use at the start of fights. Not fitting for LMB. 😀

Thank you! The Glass Show is like walking into a candy store.
A fantastic glass show, thank you for taking us all on the tour
Wow! My mouth was agape with every single showcase. Thank you Lady Mary Beth.
Glass is unique. We can still actually use glasses, pitchers etc in mint condition after 150 years! Brings history to life x
I love all the colored glass - but that Lafayette purple was SO pretty!
Loved this show. I'm a longtime lover of glass and now I'm becoming an educated lover of glass 😊❤
Thank you LMB 💞

What do you collect/sell? Do you have a website or other place of your items for sale? Thank you!
We are out of Colorado & mostly do in person shows. I have a booth in Colorado Springs and do live sales on TH-cam channel.
Glad you exhibited at the show. I enjoy the vintage and antique glass. Thanks for making the trip from Colorado.
I offer some items in my eBay store, with the link in video descriptions.
I collect a variety of glass, crystal, china, and silver. My family once made a list of my collections, but it's always changing.
Everything there is Stunningly perfect.

Loving that coloured glass and chrome marriage. That is a beautiful collection. Magnificent bar ware x

Me too. Blue is my first choice, green is growing on me 😊
Green looks best next to blue. That lemonade pitcher set has my vote in green.
Gotta love the Heisey crystal ! And Fostoria candelabra ! Thank you for the delightful tour ! 🐣🐤🌷

Mary Beth, I find that if you place a small paper doily between the plate and bowl/ saucer it will keep the upper piece from sliding. Thanks! Suzanne
Thanks for the tip!

I could actually cope with a part 1 and 2 for this show. Can you consider a two part episode for next time?
Have done a two part segment, and not well received.

I’m interested in red. I have a rather large bowl. Stars and moon pattern. I’d like to find out more about it.
Was there any Corning glassware represented?
No Corningware cookware. Mid-Century glass is the newest allowed at the show. You might be referring to their Steuben Art glass. Was most likely offered by one of the dealers. Lots yet to be discovered at the sale.
I collect glass
I prefer old fashioned decanter patterns and styles
Loved the privilege of seeing and learning.
Not sure if it's me or the audio, but had a hard time with the whistling " "sss" ss '.... as she spoke.

Did you purchase anything?
Ok, you have got to change at the beginning of your videos the bell sound which sounds like the bell they use at the start of fights. Not fitting for LMB. 😀
Oh, I love the bell, it is now tradition.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Where is the pressed glass of the late 1800 .
It’s definitely featured. Look for the dealer with the cake stands.
