    Oh I am so grateful for finding this man and his teachings. have diagnosed CPTSD and am riddled with shame. This is constant for me. I do look people in the eye because we would get abused if we didn’t. This is so intense but interesting and so on point. Thank you so much for everything that you do to shine light on Complex Trauma because it is so underrepresented and unspoken. Medical professionals in peoples lives make it worse but adding to this shame. I hate to sound negative but it’s true. I have learnt so much and I have never been able to take in a lot of information because I’m too busy trying to find a way to feel safe.

    Missing your Bible Stories Tim, but I'm so, so happy that you're finally reaching a wider audience. I'm amazed at how you explain stuff that others tend to overcomplicate ...from your heart. Thank you.

    I think back to my childhood and I was so secure and loved. What happened to me since then?? Can this only be a problem originating in childhood?

    • @DaleLewill
      @DaleLewill 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What did happen to you since then? I think trauma is very different from person to person, everyone has some trauma if that makes sense. I used to think the same; my parents are good christians, no divorce, no addictions, safe area growing up etc. But everyones’s trauma is different. I started to remember being beaten as a child, my mum worked nights so I had deep anxiety when she left me for before bedtime, my sister was older and we fought etc. Small things for a child can have big effects. I personally think it all starts in the childhood, I think trauma is a child believing the negative voices they are told, its a way to cope… but those negative voices of others become trauma later on. Healing means letting go of other people’s voices and finding your own… you do have value… you are lovable… you are worthy of love… reconnecting with your inner child and healing them… but yeah sometimes its like ”I wish I had REAL trauma bec then I could see it easily”… but sometimes trauma is just a thousand small things, and its hard to see them. I wish you find your voice and heal, you deserve to be loved Serena… no matter who you are or what you’ve done, never forget that ❤

      @@DaleLewill Thank you! I have been rejected by friends as a young adult and had a rocky marriage at first. And I've had actual trauma from my siblings passing away, but I was messed up before then. I wonder if there was something I don't remember from when I was young or if I was just really sensitive and it was normal childhood stuff like being yelled at or missing friends. I have always had low self esteem.

    • @DaleLewill
      @DaleLewill 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Serena-jf5ts I’m sorry to hear 🥺 I think ”normal childhood stuff” could effect us, it very much depends on how it made you feel at that time. And yeah I wonder if some are more sensitive or if its just diff trauma effects us differently. Maybe getting yelled at made you feel worthless? Like your voice didnt matter etc? Maybe missing friends made you feel unlovable too? I dunno. Think back at those times that hurt, like when you were yelled at; if you could travel back in time and see your parents (siblings?) yelling at you, how would it make you feel? Do you think that little girl deserved it? If you saw someone doing that to their kid, would you think that was okay? I dont blame parents for doing wrong, they did what they thought was right… just like we do what we think is right but we also struggle. And yeah I think its possible to have trauma that we dont remember, but trying to love ourself as a child unconditionally is still a way to heal. Imagine going back in time as an adult and just hugging yourself when you were yelled at… tell her its okay… tell her she didnt do anything wrong, no matter what she did… tell lil Serena that its okay… just hold her in your arms and listen to her scream and cry… she just needs to be heared… you deserve to be heard Serena 😊 You said low self esteem, are you afraid to get hurt? What would happen if you got more brave and confident? Would someone hurt you? Who would hurt you? Imagine yourself as a kid when you were sad… and just hold yourself in your arms… doesnt matter what your parents/siblings do or say… just hold her and let her breathe… she doesnt need to be perfect or silent or good… she just needs to be loved by you… love yourself and let yourself heal ❤️
