@@crazytrain7721 lol yea it’s 95% effort and 5% luck. If you’re talking to people at shows, you’re going to run into talent scouts at least you’re doing something you loved. Also not everyone wants to be super famous, my doctor plays bass in a jazz band and they’re perfectly happy doing small shows at bars. I played in a punk band and we had a lot of connections to people in Fat Wreck Chords. Had the lead singer not gotten addicted to heroin and caused the band to break up, we would have eventually gotten signed to them or another punk label. There's no mistaking it. Whether you like it or not. But they still choose to sound stupid to play to the dumb club crowds. Back in the day a dope album would have your 1-2 club singles. Still hot but not an MCs best stuff. Then 1-2 love singles. Then a maybe 1-2 of their hottest shit that was deemed radio worthy. Then the rest of the album was fire. Them being them and going hard. Now they don't even try. Why should they? If people are stupid enough to listen to a sound cloud rapper then why would young rappers even try to be real lyricists anymore. Its really indicative of where we're at as a society. But fuck it I say this shit I get called the old man screaming get off my lawn. So.....
Idk that’s really subjective in this case. He’s definitely very skilled at what he does, but that early 2000s cartoony rap didn’t age well. D12, Obie Trice and others singles don’t get play anymore. Only ones that do really are some of Eminem’s with his Slim Shady persona, and maybe Redman once in a while... Lol I do see there’s over a million views here now though so people must be on a nostalgia trip I guess... I still feel like this song is missing the best part of what made most of those songs good - a hook. The chorus here is weird it’s not really catchy with him just starting and stopping the words in a weird timing and order...
Nice to see RA finally getting the attention he deserves. So many times hanging out with him at the CopShop he seemed depressed. "If a loser like me can do it then so can you"
When ya fav rapper says you can make it ❤
He lied, you can't
@@Bryanswrld lol. That is funny. But you can. Some is chance, but the more effort the better chance
It’s about what you find creatively fulfilling, not the money.
@@Bryanswrld that’s a sad outlook. Also you don’t know what people consider “success.” Some people just want to make music because they love it, not just for money.
@@Bryanswrld LMFAO I died. well done sir.
Excited for this! RA never disappoints!
One of the best rappers ever. This man can go from simple to hard in a instant.
i love the subtlety of the two "if a loser like me can do it then so can you", one a negative, one a positive
Best song of 2020 yet, both in hip hop and in music.
I love how this man dissed so many people in this video and still made me feel motivated as hell. RA is a bonafide legend lol
Yo this guy a legend bro

Rich Nixdorf RA is such a lyrical inspiration to my writing style. I love his schemes so much. Lol I just dropped a track the other day! I have the second verse on "New Shoes" if you are interested in new music you should check me out 🤙🏼
How is it possible that with all the insane rhymes he says my favorite part of the song is the "HAHA" he does lol.
Dissing Tekashi 69, Stitches and Post Malone at the same time with the makeup, nice
there's a little knowledge he dropped to the youth
I think it's mainly 69.

This is fuckin inspirational, twisted, dope, and hilarious at the same time! Love it. People severely underestimate the genius of RA.

The new album is pure gold
Classy and highly precise with the themes and lyrics.
You can see why mainstream don't want him. This guy is a genius. You're the real deal
R.A. the Rugged Man...a fellow NYC native. Keeping that NYC lyrical hip-hop alive. You make me proud homie! 🗽🇺🇸
100 man he gives me hope aswell to produce that new york vibe music
For real yo. Not from New York. But as a student of hip-hop to see what's coming out of NY today saddens and scared me. I mean that Mo Bamba track. Wtf!? Now that I hear this I regain hope in hip- hop
@@Shinobi33 I don't want to accept that Sheck Wes is a NYC rapper. 😑
@@randyh.7782 Me either most dudes ain't. And the ones thar can rhyme dumb down their lyrics to sell records. I. E. ASAP Mob. Every dude in ASAP can legit spit. You can hear in their rhyming schemes. So.....
@@Shinobi33 I agree! To an extent Joey Badass even changed up his style, but he's still dope. I just hope he won't go too left field with his music.
This album is crazy, waiting for AFRO next...
Finally, some new Rap worth listening to. This is a throwback to back when shit was actually good.
He's a great example of what someone can achieve if you keep trying, regardless what obstacles life throws your way. I'll also always have a story to tell when he got pissed at me for starting his myspace page and asking out his niece.
2:20 that was perfectly *executed*
@@MarcelReuling why tf do you exist?
Seems like 2020's gonna be a great year for hip hop 😎
Bruh.... this is fire on a "weird al" vibe!
Your spitting bars that actually have meaning and sound straight!
Love the comedy, That spreads life!
Wack.
Yeh man dont get comedy bars now more i think humour always elevates lyrics whad you think?
I just discovered RA when his interview on VladTV came across my feed. I like it. It feels old school.
Haven’t heard it yet but I already liked and shared
Wanted Dead Or Alive RA is such a lyrical inspiration to my writing style. I love his schemes so much. Lol I just dropped a track the other day! I have the second verse on "New Shoes" if you are interested in new music you should check me out 🤙🏼
My absolute best album of the year
R.A. Yeah!!!!
