@@lanceollyfre1181 and that's what made it all the sadder bc he made it to the chopper and then died. The chopper is where you're suppose to be safe which made it one of the best ways to surprise the player with his death
@@michaelsouslin891I felt the same for tai I was only 9 when I first played, and when I saw tai take a gnasher Kurt cobain style, I was devastated and scarred.
Yeah, honestly, I always thought if I killed enough of the locust, then Ben wouldn't have been shot and maybe would've been with the rest of delta squad
Yeah, literally all anyone in the raven needed to do was grab hold of his arms to compensate for the fact that there was almost nothing strong enough for him to grab onto... it wouldn't have been a guarantee but it would have at least given him a chance.
When he says he was reloading and doesn't have that truck down, he means his gun jammed by trying to perform a timed reload. To sum it up his gun jammed while reloading and he moved inside to fix it
Honestly, if you had completed training they should’ve let him live. While if you had skipped training, he would get sniped through lack of experience. Really hope in the new gears 6 E day the hardest difficulty will be “Carmine mode” where you play the game as Carmine with all the drawbacks related to it. Could have a trophy/achievement when you complete the game. “Time paradox”
I feel like if Ben survived the Riftworm, he'd have made it out of Gears 2 alright. However, he wouldn't have made it to Gears 3 as I suspect he would have died to the Lambent during the events of one of the novels (Anvil Gate or Coalition's End).
I wish they just let Ben survive and turn into a beast like Clayton. Imagine if at first Ben is this rookie but blossoms into a fearsome warrior, imagine his introduction in 3, he's sitting in his room on the ship, he puts on his helmet and he's grown 2x in size, deep voice, would've been so fucking cool. Would've been a better storyline.
I feel like there should have been some different dialog regrouping with Carmine if you trained him. "The hell you doing here Rook?" "Area I was guarding got overrun, we were pushed back to the Hospital, sir." "Then why aren't you out there fighting?" "Thought I heard something at our back. Almost chucked a grenade through the door if you guys hadn't come through it." "Then I would have made good on my promise, Rook. Alright, Delta, let's get out there."
Gears 1 and 2 were different, I wish they had kept the consistent theme of dark and horror instead of brightening everything up. Haven't played anything past Judgement, but it seems everything is consistently bright.
Every time I play this game, I always train Benjamin. Always.
I chose not to train Benjamin maybe once, and five minutes into that I immediately went back and chose to train him
Same, one because i really like him and two you always get free grenades when you do the tutorial missions
Same, I never skip training. I know how to play the game, but I just want to hang out with the Carmine family
I always train him hoping to change the outcome somehow😢
I always train Carmine too! Welcome to Delta!
My favorite Carmine, I knew he'd die, but damn I really wanted to save him.
We all wanted to save him 😔

Ben deserved better, and I was so mad there was no option to save him

Fun fact, the first Gear to die on E-Day was in fact a Carmine
If he doesn’t die in the opening cutscene I SWEAR I’m teabagging the developers

"Oh awesome! WAIT! THERE'S ANOTHER ONE! Uh oh....."

I wish they bring back the pc version of this games.
I remember what a major step up this was. A major first impression.

I really miss Benjamin
This gears of war fans are finally putting videos before e day game comes out

How do they know what religion is?
its another planet and all, but a lot of things still happened
they mention God and Christ sometimes
Different world so they have their gods and beliefs
Well the locusts had religion and the Kantus were priests so I can imagine the Serans had religion too
@@KateHikes83TJD Seeing how buff they are their Jesus might be very jacked.
