    As someone who watched both his Coloso course and full time paints, you have done a better job clearly explaining his work process than he himself has. Thanks, your video helped a lot!

    This would be great with voiceover. Then we could view the art while also getting your input. Reading subtitles makes it hard to see what's going on in the background

    2:32 what he does is select the outside with the lasso as a basis, then he selects the inverse with the magic wand by holding ALT to convert the selection type to negative/subtract, effectively shrinking the selection to the subject. Works best on a completely closed off subject!

    one thing to know is a lot of it will come down to experience like the speed you will do it, the colors you will choose, where to place shadows etc. you can try and copy a style all you want but in the end it wont look good without practice and knowing your fundamentals (anatomy, color theory, etc) :)
    great video and great analysis though ! would have been nice with some sort of voiceover even TTS

    People often neglect that rinotuna doesn't just draw directly from nothing. He plans his drawings, or he draws from a reference if he's just doing a study stream.
    You can even see him writing keywords on his canvas during some of his streams.

    • @HirushiLee
      @HirushiLee 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      but at 1:03 is he using a ref or it's just from visual library, because it's amazing how rino does the poses with clothes from the very start. I've being trying to get this information for a while now and it seems he stopped streaming so i can't ask him directly :/

    • @ashcanicall5297
      @ashcanicall5297 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @HirushiLee that looks like it may be from his extensive visual library! There's a method to it though, I promise. I know this cause he explains it in his colosso course. He does construction of bodies and talks about simplifying clothes instead of drawing all the details!
      If you have any questions, I could try to answer! 🥺

       @ashcanicall5297 Hmmm, i also did the course, but i might have overlooked it xDD
      The part you talking about is that one where he draws over the photos talking about the balance of straights and curves?

    What i gatherer from watching Rino draw
    1- He uses low opacity lines
    2-He doesn't really have lineart, its more of a clean sketch and just render it
    3-He uses a square brush to shade/render
    4-He uses a shading brush that changes opacity based on pressure
    5- He is very good at light sources

    I am not a good and understanding in art. Is his style is a painting process? because my understanding is using merge all layers to make a final render is just like a painting. How risky it is for beginners? please cmiiw. and sorry for my bad english

    • @Idaero_Art
      @Idaero_Art  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Art Style is basically just what the artist usually do. For Rinotuna, I think it's about how simplified the shapes are (he make lot of straight lines), the simplified color with mostly only 3 shades. And also stuff like eyes shape and color choice.
      I won't call the process making it as art style. It's a style though o.o Because people can see art style only from the image. And I bet he can achieve same style with different process (without merging it).
      Merging is more risky since you don't have any backup so you can't revert what you did (still can undo tho). The safer way is just making new layer on top each time. It's basically the same like merging everything. Or you can duplicate everything then merge. So you still have all layers as backup just in case you messed up with the merged layer. Rinotuna already confident with what he did so he can just merge directly.
      Every artist prefer different process, so I won't say it's bad.
