It seems everyone here is reminiscing about where they heard this classic song years ago. Now my turn, I remember hearing it on CKGB in Timmins, ON, 750 KHz on the AM band. Great classic, yahoo!
I know exactly where I was when I first heard this song---on a bus headed for the CNE. Coming into the depot, I had bought the cassette, (yes, a cassette!), & my friend pulled it off me to listen to Parachute Club's Rise Up, 1st. Then, this wonderful song. Strictly a Canadian production--I love the words, especially!!!
I had the pleasure of living on the St. Lawrence River USA only 56 miles south of Ottawa Canada and listen to Chez 106. Huge 80's fan here...Absolutely Love the Parachute Club! and many others. If anyone can upload more Parachute Club....PLEASE DO! and Thank You in advance!
Me too. It was a mainstay I posted every year for decades. And so incredibly fitting for the score. Very, very unhappy I can't revisit such an integral part of the group and my love for their body of work. Pisses me off royally.
And I have the album, the tape, the cd AND on my ipod...all PAID for; yet still have no rights to the video produced in conjunction with the tune. Fucking Record Companies SUCK SCISSORS; cannot see Parachute Club restricting it. But can certainly see the label doing so. PRICKS.
Not the same Parachute Club on Spotify that formed in 2017 and sound like Nu Metal. They aren’t Canadian, either, unlike this now obscurity from the 1980s reflecting Gloria Estefan.
The Parachute Club was a Canadian band formed in Toronto in 1982. ... The band was well known for being one of the first mainstream pop acts in Canada.
I know that, but there is a different band with this name is on Spotify, an alternative rock band from Massachusetts, North Shore. The Canadian, Parachute Club is not on Spotify. You can buy a vinyl record from Discogs or eBay, easy to find an OOP CD or vinyl album there.

I've played this song many times while I was at radio station KYMC 89.7FM. in Ballwin, St. Louis Missouri. Thanks for putting this out there!
Thank you LA-107 Lethbridge for playing great tunes like this!
