LOVE THIS SONG!!! This most definitely isn't Parachute Club but IS Lorraine Segato and John Oates. I'm a driver for the transit system here in Toronto and Lorraine Segato got on my bus last summer...she asked if this bus went somewhere she was going and I looked at her and said "OH MAN, ARE YOU LORRAINE SEGATO???" She just laughed and was quite cool about the whole thing. Very nice woman.
I was a young PA and part in the production of this video and yes, both John Oates and Lorriane Segato are down to earth very cool people. Refreshing when you consider the ego-maniacal nature of this business. It was produced by John Oates through a company known at the time as Total Eclipse. A big shout out to the PM of the company. His name escapes me but I do recall he was also very cool as a manager and a person.

It has played on the radio a few times recently and was finally able to catch the title... The power it holds touches me every time even after all these years. And Canadian on top of all of that! This is great music, timeless, full of magic and truth. Thank you
This is an awesome song! Never heard it before, as I'm only 30 and the only song by Parachute Club that ever gets played is Rise Up. Nice to see they made other stuff too.
I remember when this video came out. It was an odd collaboration. One of the Much Music VJ's at the time asked John if there was a little romantic spark between he and Lorraine...lol. I guess she (the VJ) was unaware that Lorraine is from the isle of Lesbos...
@bigbrobuff Oh yes it IS The Parachute Club and is included on their greatest hits compilation. I'm not sure which "Toronto" you're from, but it's not the one I spent many years in. John Oates did a song with Lorraine, but it wasn't this one.
I loved Parachute Club way back and was sad when they quit making music. Whatever happened to Lorraine Segato...what is she doing now (besides riding buses)?
You're half right, which also means you're half wrong. Yes, it is Parachute Club, but this IS the song that is produced by John Oates and he also sings on the track with Lorraine. A simple search (Google or TH-cam) will find another video for this song in which you can clearly see and hear John Oates. Sounds like you don't know Toronto or Parachute Club that well after all.
no it wasn't Erica Ehm. I guess it must have been Laurie then...was there anyone else? I can't remember their names, except for sweet little dumb Erica.

SHE WAS GOD'S GIFT TO US FOR A SHORT TIME❤

These songs remain a tribute to Margo Davidson who sadly passed away May 17, 2009.
Margo loved her music but was a troubled soul.
R.I.P.
RESPECT 👍

Is it just a coincidence that there is a Jason Voorhees sound in this song? I always wondered about this as a kids.
