My two boys ages 7 and 9 died by a drunk driver 35 years ago. Still, now and then, I forget and reach for their favorite cereal thinking they'll want it for breakfast in the morning. After a third of a century later I forget at times like nothing has changed. Then reality sets in, I put the cereal back and go back to normal life. This is a really good movie! And it was filmed in the neighborhood of my friend's music studio. And I lived down the street off Gessner in Houston. I have been to the places in this movie more times than I can count! Freaked me out! I wasnt expecting this. Still a good movie, not just for that reason. Thank you!
I was a police officer for almost 20 years and this brought back so many memories of all the wisdom I found in the most unexpected places and from the most beautiful human beings that most of us walk past in our daily lives......this movie reminds all of us that we are all on a journey of healing and that we should treat everyone with kindness because we never know what battles they are fighting......and that forgiveness, redemption and healing can be found when you least expect it and in the most unexpected places....and faces...... I would love to know the name of the song and the artist that was played at the end during the credit role.......thank you for this gift! I will be sharing it......
Very creative approach to fight emotions like unbeareable grief, losses, guilt, shame, guiltripping or letting go of whatever can't serve or contribute to development, but, it is complecated, one always has to get creative in these cases but one must be ready if only others are of the opinion, to it be time, it won't be enough, some people need more help than others, some can't ever be cored, some are simply not yet or able at all, to move on. This is, of what this Film is able tell about in an extremely sensitive ways. Was fun to watch... ❤❤❤

This movie is a reminder that everyone you meet is carrying pain and loss. We all have a story that makes us who we are when it comes to trauma the brain can only handle so much so we develop coping mechanisms. This movie makes you look within and to remember that we’re only human and a reminder of what we do today will affect our future. Life is too short so let go of the small stuff. Life doesn’t always give us answers or happy endings. It’s learning to live with what we can’t change and the bigger stuff give it to God. All the best things that life has to offer is free! Love movies that make you think.
That was a beautiful film and very thought provoking. I have to say the part that got me the most was the bit about the weight that you can carry is the weight that you can manage, as this has always been a belief of mine. I have been tested on this in the last few years as my partner and the love of my life died suddenly, late 2021. Although I miss him every day, I'm still here and trying to make the most of life as best I can and will be forever grateful for the time we had .
Your comment "I'm still here and trying to make the most of life the best I can" truly resonated with me. My husband of 40 years also died suddenly a few years ago. It came to me that morning that I was still here...and it would be dishonoring of me to not appreciate and be grateful for that fact, and it was up to me to make the most of the life I have been gifted. Something to think about.

I just started the movie and after two years she is still very crazy, it is strange that she can't go on with her life normally instead of being insane with grief, in my opinion. Even her counselor thought she should go to a therapist because she thinks she thinks the lady is nuts also. The guy is really cool though and made the movie worthwhile watching.
Stopped watching after an hour. Creepy and unsettling. Also, devoid of links to reality unless these people are secret millionaires. I may finish watching later because I am curious. (And optimistic/hopeful.) But this is a creepy film. Dark. I grew up with illness and death and this has little to do with losing people. It's an artistic interpretation of how people can get stuck in a situation of loss and turn it into their crutch, their sole reason for living, and start doing really strange things as a result.

A million tears. Life shouldn’t be this hard but sometimes it is.
Without sorrow, how would we know JOY?
And some of us get one tragedy after another, so it's impossible to make even a slight recovery.
